Chapter 68 A Perfect Match

Fu Wenzhou was in good health and woke up early the next morning. The first thing he did was check if Song Qingyou was awake. He called in a doctor for a consultation and waited with great hope.

The doctors looked at each other, and one of them sighed, then mustered his courage and said, "Mr. Fu, the patient shows no signs of improvement."

Fu Wenzhou suddenly froze on the spot, his eyes filled with confusion and doubt: "Isn't it said that if you find the sacred mountain and sincerely pray to Buddha, you will wake up?"

Fearing that Fu Wenzhou might go crazy when he regained consciousness, the doctors all withdrew and dared not provoke him.

Song Chang wanted to go forward and offer some advice, but he didn't know what to say, so he sighed heavily and left.

When Gu Bailiang, Mu Chuan, and the others heard that Fu Wenzhou was going to find some sacred mountain in the middle of the night, they all thought he had gone mad.

A person who never believed in gods or Buddhas actually spent two whole days searching for a sacred mountain on a snowy day without eating or drinking, kneeling and kowtowing three times and praying with every step.

There are over two thousand steps!

Gu Bai was so angry that he punched Fu Wenzhou as soon as he entered the room. He used to spoil this brat, but today he was really furious.

Xu Zezhan stopped him: "Alright, Gu Bai, look at the state of his body, can he withstand your beating?"

Gu Bai said angrily, "Can't you live without Song Qingyou?"

Fu Wenzhou's face was swollen from being slapped, but he didn't react. He said expressionlessly, "Youyou likes quiet. If you want to make noise, go outside and make noise."

Gu Bai was completely speechless, standing there with a dark face, but he didn't shout anymore.

Liang Muchuan stepped forward: "What do you plan to do if she doesn't wake up?"

Xu Zezhan and Gu Bai gasped, secretly admiring Liang Muchuan's courage.

I thought Fu Wenzhou would be furious and go crazy, but he was very calm.

"Go and pick up Zhouzhou and take her to your place. Doesn't your sister like cats?"

Apart from a hoarse voice, there was nothing unusual.

Seeing that he was avoiding the question, Liang Muchuan didn't press further: "Isn't this your and Song Qingyou's precious treasure? You're willing to give it away?"

Fu Wenzhou said, "I don't have time to take care of it."

This reason makes sense; Fu Wenzhou is busy taking care of Song Qingyou, so he doesn't have time to take care of a cat.

Liang Muchuan agreed.

In the following days, Fu Wenzhou continued to stay by Song Qingyou's side every day. He would occasionally go out in a hurry, but he would return quickly. Each time he went out, he would stay for no more than two hours.

Song Chang didn't know what he had gone to do, but he felt that Xiao Fu's temperament had been much more stable these past few days.

At night, Fu Wenzhou returned from outside again, bringing with him a cold wind. He first went to the bathroom to take a shower and dispel the chill before getting into bed and hugging Song Qingyou from behind.

"Youyou, I went to choose a cemetery plot today, it's by the sea. I remember you like the sea."

“I told Chen Shu that we should be buried together.”

"You don't need to worry about the company, I've taken care of everything. Oh, and the Song family, that's your mother's home. I'm coming back now. Song Yuan has taken his bastards and gotten lost."

Fu Wenzhou gently turned her over in his arms, inhaling her scent as he rambled on.

A red stain appeared at the corner of her eye, and a tear slid down her cheek, dripping onto Song Qingyou's pale lips.

It's icy cold and a little astringent.

He said in a deep, hoarse voice, holding her tightly in his arms: "Youyou, don't be afraid."

A north wind began to rise, bringing a biting chill. The howling wind swept through the tree branches, producing bursts of shrill cries like wild beasts.

There seemed to be a very soft sigh.

"Why are you crying?"

The cold, shimmering sounds tore a huge hole in the night, from which countless hurricanes burst forth.

Fu Wenzhou's chest vibrated. He thought it was just his imagination again and trembled, afraid to open his eyes.

A cool touch brushed against his cheek as someone wiped away his tears.

"Fu Wenzhou".

Another soft call.

Fu Wenzhou unconsciously tightened his grip, as if he wanted to meld the body in his arms into his very bones.

"Cough!" Song Qingyou had just woken up and couldn't withstand the commotion, so she coughed with rapid breathing.

Fu Wenzhou suddenly opened his eyes and saw the face he had loved for many years clearly. It was no longer pale, lifeless, and devoid of life.

I finally realized I wasn't dreaming.

She really woke up.

The joy of finding her again filled Fu Wenzhou's heart, and he was extremely careful even when touching her. "Youyou..."

His voice was hoarse and strained, like a puppy that had suffered a great injustice and desperately needed its owner's pity.

Song Qingyou's cough subsided, and she raised her hand to ruffle his thick black hair: "Have you been behaving well these past few days?"

Fu Wenzhou nodded, his voice low and hoarse: "I didn't touch Fu Tingshen."

Song Qingyou knew his temperament well, and this "movement" was limited to not killing Fu Tingshen.

She tried to sit up, supporting herself. During this time, she was conscious and could hear voices, but she couldn't understand what they were saying. Everything in front of her was white, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't open her eyes.

Fu Wenzhou stopped her from moving, saying, "You just woke up and need to rest."

Song Qingyou was too exhausted, and upon hearing this, she lay down again.

She sniffed the air, then suddenly frowned: "Why do you smell so strongly of sandalwood?"

Fu Wenzhou paused for a moment and said, "I had some free time these past few days, so I went to pray to Buddha."

Song Qingyou looked up: "Didn't you not believe in these things?"

Fu Wenzhou hugged her and smiled: "Now I believe you."

Song Qingyou nodded and said, "Fu Wenzhou, I'm thirsty."

Fu Wenzhou immediately got up to pour her water, tested the temperature himself first, and then fed her the water spoonful by spoonful.

Song Qingyou reached out and poked Fu Wenzhou's face: "Who told you I like cemeteries by the sea?"

Fu Wenzhou froze, his hand holding the spoon still, and frowned, saying, "Let's not talk about this, it's bad luck."
