Pretty good
The moment Mu Han suddenly sat on Lu Zhizhi's legs, the car started. The inertia made his body shake. He subconsciously wanted to get up, but Lu Zhizhi held his waist tightly and he couldn't move at all.
"Let go!" Mu Han glared at him, his tone filled with anger, but when he met Lu Zhizhi's eyes, which were filled with deep affection, he paused for an inexplicable moment. Those eyes, like a glass of crushed starlight, locked their lips stubbornly on his. Before Mu Han could react, Lu Zhizhi's kiss had already landed—with an irresistible, burning heat, a lingering kiss.
The driver in the front seat caught a glimpse of this scene in the rearview mirror, his hand trembled, and the steering wheel almost swerved. He quickly retracted his gaze and stared at the road ahead, even breathing slowly, as if looking at it any longer would be a blasphemy.
Mu Han was angry and anxious. He struggled but couldn't shake Lu Zhizhi's strength at all. In desperation, he bit his lower lip hard.
"Hiss—" Lu Zhizhi felt pain and subconsciously loosened his grip. He raised his hand and touched his lips, which were oozing blood. The burning sensation in his eyes faded, and a layer of moisture welled up. He looked at Mu Han with red eyes, like a large dog abandoned by its owner, feeling so wronged that he seemed about to cry.
Mu Han's heart softened when he saw him like this, but when he thought of the forced kiss just now, he was furious again: "Okay, okay, don't cry." He reached out and touched Lu Zhizhi's head, his tone helpless, "If you make trouble again, I will get off the car now."
As expected, Lu Zhizhi didn't dare to move anymore. He just lowered his eyes and stared at his hands in a daze. His long eyelashes cast a shadow under his eyes, making him look particularly lonely.
They were silent all the way until the car stopped at the foot of the apartment building. Mu Han was the first to push the door open and get out. As soon as he stood firm, Lu Zhizhi grabbed his wrist. He turned around and met the boy's still red eyes, which were full of fear that he would run away.
"Are you still not coming down?" Mu Han sighed, "If you keep dawdling, I'll really leave."
Lu Zhizhi then hurriedly got out of the car, stumbling a bit before falling straight into Mu Han's arms. Mu Han was knocked back half a step by him, struggling to hold onto him, but saw Lu Zhizhi tighten his arms, holding his waist tightly, burying his head in the crook of his neck and refusing to lift it up.
"Let go first, I'm going to say goodbye to the driver." Mu Han patted his back, but turned around and found that the taxi had disappeared. It seemed that the driver was frightened by the previous situation and ran away for his life.
Helplessly, Mu Han could only half-support, half-carry Lu Zhizhi as they walked towards the apartment building. In the elevator, Lu Zhizhi still clung to him, like a piece of rice cake that couldn't be shaken off. As they stepped out of the elevator and passed by Lu Zhizhi's room, he suddenly grabbed Mu Han's tie. With a force of his fingertips, the delicate tie clip snapped free, and the tie hung loosely around his neck.
Mu Han stopped and frowned at him: "Stop making trouble."
Lu Zhizhi buried his head even deeper, his warm breath brushing against his neck, carrying a faint scent of alcohol. Mu Han couldn't resist him, so she could only let him cling to her and move step by step back to her room.
"Give me the room card." Mu Han stood at the door, trying to feel for the key in Lu Zhizhi's pocket, but Lu Zhizhi seemed not to hear him and simply held him still. Mu Han shook him gently and called out twice, but there was still no response. Sighing, he took him back to his room.
He carefully helped Lu Zhizhi walk towards the sofa, and when he wanted to put him down, his wrist was suddenly grabbed, and he was pressed against the sofa in a dizzying manner. Lu Zhizhi's body pressed forward with undeniable aggression.
"You didn't sleep at all!" Mu Han was angry and anxious, "Lu Zhizhi, what the hell are you doing!"
Lu Zhizhi said nothing, just staring at him, his eyes filled with greed and passion. He suddenly ripped off his tie, threw it on the ground, and leaned over to kiss him again.
"Ugh!" Mu Han turned his head away and raised his hands to push him away, but Lu Zhizhi pinned him firmly on both sides of the sofa. During his struggle, the two glasses of water in his hands fell to the ground, and the crisp sound of shattering glass pierced the air.
Lu Zhizhi's kiss continued, even more violent than the one in the car just now, with a plundering smell of alcohol, as if he wanted to tear him apart and eat him. The more Mu Han struggled, the tighter he hugged him, until Mu Han was limp from the kiss and could hardly breathe. He then pulled away slightly, forehead against forehead, breathing heavily.
Mu Han's pent-up anger finally erupted, and he raised his hand and slapped him. With a crisp "snap", Lu Zhizhi's face tilted to the side, and a red mark quickly appeared on his face.
But he seemed to feel no pain, turning his head to move closer again, the stubbornness in his eyes almost turning into paranoia. This time, Mu Han didn't have the strength to push him away, so he could only let him hold her. He was carried sideways in his arms and walked into the bedroom.
…
At eight o'clock the next morning, sunlight shone through the gaps in the curtains onto the floor, outlining the floating dust.
Lu Zhizhi woke up first, frowning at the hangover headache. He subconsciously leaned closer to Mu Han, feeling warm skin. He opened his eyes suddenly, and his heart skipped a beat—Mu Han was lying in his arms, his brows slightly furrowed, and he seemed to be sleeping uneasy.
Fragments of memories flooded into his mind: last night's forced kiss, the broken glass, Mu Han's red eyes... Lu Zhizhi's heartbeat accelerated instantly, and his fingertips gently brushed Mu Han's cheek, his heart filled with panic: He had taken Han Han by force, would Han Han ignore him again?
Just as I was thinking about it, the person in my arms moved and slowly opened his eyes.
When their eyes met, the air froze instantly.
Mu Han took in the surroundings and the arms wrapped around him, and his expression gradually turned colder. He suddenly pushed Lu Zhizhi away, sat up, grabbed the clothes scattered on the side of the bed, and dressed neatly.
"Hanhan, we..." Lu Zhizhi sat up hurriedly, his voice hoarse from just waking up, but was interrupted by Mu Han before he could finish.
Mu Han paused as he was adjusting his tie, and turned back to look at him, his eyes as cold as ice. "Mr. Lu," he emphasized the address, "we are all adults, and this is just a casual affair. I can accompany you today, and I can accompany someone else tomorrow."
Lu Zhizhi's face turned pale. He looked at Mu Han's cold profile. The memory of last night seemed to suddenly become clear. Those details blurred by alcohol were like needles piercing his heart. Nanxuan smiled and took Gu Yanjing's arm, introducing him to Ruan Chen: "This is Gu Yanjing, President Gu."
"Nice to meet you," Ruan Chen nodded politely, "I've heard of Mr. Gu's name a long time ago."
After a few casual chats, Gu Yanjing found an excuse and took Nanxuan to the other side, obviously wanting to be alone. Chen Xiaoren said he wanted to go to the bathroom and left for a while.
Not long after they left, an inopportune figure wandered over. Shen Shuowen saw the man, rolled his eyes, and grumbled in a low voice: "This guy is really haunting, he's everywhere."
The person who came was Wei Xiuzhu. He passed by Shen Shuowen and walked in front of Ruan Chen with a hypocritical smile on his face: "Achen, long time no see."
Ruan Chen said in a cold tone: "Yes, I hope we will never see each other again."
Wei Xiuzhu seemed not to notice the alienation in his words. He took a glass of red wine from the waiter's tray and handed it to Ruan Chen: "Achen, don't say that. I will always be here waiting for you."
Ruan Chen neither took the glass of wine nor intended to respond. Seeing this, Shen Shuowen suddenly spoke with a hint of amusement in his tone: "By the way, Mr. Wei, I heard that you are getting engaged to the young master of the Li family? I wonder if it is true or not?"
Wei Xiuzhu's expression changed slightly, and he hurriedly looked at Ruan Chen to explain, "That's not true! Where did you hear that rumor?"
Shen Shuowen curled the corners of his lips, took a step forward, and leaned close to Wei Xiuzhu's ear. His voice was very low, with a hint of viciousness: "Boss Wei, there are some things you can't touch casually. If it's yours, you can't take it away; if it's not yours, you'd better think clearly about the consequences."
After he finished speaking, he turned to look at Ruan Chen. The viciousness on his face instantly faded, replaced by a gentle smile: "Brother Ruan, there are sliced watermelons over there. I'll take you there to eat."
Ruan Chen nodded immediately. He didn't want to stay with Wei Xiuzhu for even a second.
On the other side, Chen Xiaoren came out of the bathroom and returned to where he was just now, but he didn't see Ruan Chen. When he was looking around, he was caught by Chu Fangye.
Chu Fangye asked anxiously, "Where is your Mr. Ruan?"
"I don't know. I'm looking for him too," Chen Xiaoren answered truthfully. Chu Fangye saw that he looked sincere and didn't seem to be lying, so he let him go.
Chen Xiaoren had only taken a few steps when he was stopped by a strange Alpha. The man had a somewhat vulgar look in his eyes and didn't look like a good person.
"Hello, sir," the Alpha said frivolously, holding a glass of wine, "Can I buy you a drink?"
Chen Xiaoren forced a smile out of politeness: "Sorry sir, I have to drive soon and can't drink."
Upon hearing this, the Alpha confirmed his suspicions. He had been observing the little guy for quite some time. Although a Beta, he looked more refined than many Omegas and looked like someone who could be easily bullied. Now that he mentioned wanting to drive, he was most likely just an ordinary assistant or driver, with no background.
"What's there to be afraid of when driving? Can't you just call a designated driver?" Alpha insisted. "Just a drink, it's okay. I just want to be friends with you."
Chen Xiaoren looked embarrassed and was about to find an excuse to get away. He was even prepared to take the wine glass to deal with it, but a hand suddenly reached out from above his head and took away the glass of wine.
He looked up and saw Chu Fangye. The Alpha's expression changed slightly when he saw Chu Fangye, and he tactfully gave up his seat.
Chu Fangye didn't even look at the Alpha, but just said lightly: "I'll drink it for him." After that, he raised his head and drank the wine in one gulp.
Seeing this, the Alpha said awkwardly, "I have something else to do," and walked away dejectedly.
"Thank you, Mr. Chu." Chen Xiaoren hurriedly expressed his gratitude.
Chu Fangye smiled and said, "You're welcome. Do you really not know where your brother Ruan is?"
"I really don't know. I'm not lying to you." Chen Xiaoren explained seriously.
Chu Fangye was amused by his expression and chuckled, "I know. Why don't you just give him a call and find out?"
"I was just planning to find a deserted place to play." Chen Xiaoren said, and walked to the corner. Chu Fangye followed him.
After the call was connected, Chen Xiaoren asked for the location and then walked towards the fruit section with Chu Fangye. As expected, from a distance, they saw Ruan Chen—Chen Shuowen was holding a piece of watermelon and feeding him. Ruan Chen was eating it with gusto. The two of them were huddled together, and the scene was very intimate.
Chu Fangye reached Ruan Chen's side before Chen Xiaoren. Seeing him, Shen Shuowen muttered to himself, "Just as one annoying person left, here comes another. This never-ending cycle." He opened his mouth, but his throat tightened, and he couldn't utter a single word. He could only watch as Mu Han turned and walked toward the door, his back determined, without a trace of lingering affection.
The sunlight grew brighter, illuminating the mess in the room and the red that was rapidly gathering in Lu Zhizhi's eyes, even more intense than last night.
