The next day, at dawn, Mu Han rose early. Beside him, Lu Zhizhi was still sound asleep. Mu Han tiptoed downstairs and prepared a carefully prepared breakfast for Lu Zhizhi. Once everything was ready, he looked upstairs, thinking that Lu Zhizhi might still be sound asleep, and didn't have the heart to wake him.

Mu Han brought the steaming hot meal to the dining table, then found a small piece of paper and wrote on it: "Azhi, breakfast is ready, remember to eat it." After writing, he put the note under the plate, then turned around and left home and went to the studio.

In his studio, Mu Han immersed himself in his painting, the hours slipping away as he focused his brushstrokes. Before he knew it, a full day had passed, and the painting for Lu Zhizhi was already halfway finished. Mu Han paused, checked the time, and realized it was getting late. It was time to go home.

When Mu Han returned to his home, he was slightly startled to find the house brightly lit. He gently opened the door and walked in, only to see Lu Zhizhi and Bai Zihan sitting on the sofa. Seeing Mu Han return, Lu Zhizhi simply glanced at him without saying a word.

Seeing that Lu Zhizhi didn't say anything, Bai Zihan immediately changed his tone to a sarcastic one: "Brother Han, don't be angry. Lu Zhizhi and I really didn't do anything. I really don't like the smell of hospital disinfectant, so Ah Zhi asked me to come here first."

Lu Zhizhi said indifferently: "Hanhan, you don't need to explain."

When Mu Han heard Lu Zhizhi calling Bai Zihan so affectionately, he felt a sudden pain in his heart, and a thought flashed through his mind involuntarily: Am I really just a substitute?

Mu Han stared at them blankly, as if his soul had been sucked out of him. At this moment, Lu Zhizhi coldly ordered, "Don't stand there like an idiot. Go cook."

These cold words, like a sharp knife, pierced Mu Han's heart again. Feeling lost, he walked into the kitchen absent-mindedly.

In the kitchen, Mu Han could clearly hear Bai Zihan and Lu Zhizhi talking about interesting things from their childhood.

Bai Zihan smiled happily and said, "Azhi, do you remember that time when I fell into the water? You were so nervous. I almost died of laughter when I saw your expression."

Lu Zhizhi also laughed: "How dare you bring this up."

Mu Han listened to their laughter and joyful chatter, feeling mixed emotions and extremely uncomfortable.

After a while, Mu Han suppressed his inner pain, prepared the meal, and slowly brought it to the table. Seeing Lu Zhizhi sitting there indifferent, Bai Zihan started to say something sarcastic again: "I'll go help Brother Han."

Lu Zhizhi responded indifferently: "Just let him do it himself, you are still injured."

Bai Zihan pretended to be aggrieved and replied, "Okay."

Soon, all the food was served on the table, and Lu Zhizhi and Bai Zihan were already seated at the table. During the meal, Mu Han remained silent, while Bai Zihan chattered endlessly with Lu Zhizhi about their childhood, leaving Mu Han with no opportunity to interrupt.

After dinner, Lu Zhizhi was the first to speak: "Hanhan is staying with us today."

Mu Han replied absentmindedly, "Okay."

After finishing everything, Mu Han dragged his heavy steps back to the bedroom. He found that the bedroom was pitch black, while the guest room was lit. He felt sad and walked into the bedroom silently and slowly lay down on the bed.

Time ticked by, and Mu Han tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. He stared blankly at the dark ceiling. An unknown amount of time passed before Lu Zhizhi gently pushed the door open and entered. Mu Han, with his back to the door, pretended to be asleep. Lu Zhizhi, assuming he had already fallen asleep, carefully slipped under the covers.

Just as Mu Han was about to turn around and say something to Lu Zhizhi, he just moved when suddenly, a loud "bang!" was heard from the guest room. Lu Zhizhi heard the sound and quickly got up and ran over. As soon as he entered the guest room, he saw Bai Zihan's hand hanging in the air.

Bai Zihan saw Lu Zhizhi coming and showed an embarrassed expression: "I'm sorry, Ah Zhi, I didn't mean to do that. I just wanted to drink some water and accidentally knocked the cup over."

After saying that, Bai Zihan was about to get up to pick it up. Seeing this, Lu Zhizhi said gently, "Don't move. Just sit there. I'll do it."

Bai Zihan nodded obediently and sat there watching Lu Zhizhi clean up.

Mu Han heard the noise and came to the door of the guest room. When he saw the scene, his heart was filled with pain and he turned around and left silently.

Mu Han returned to his room and lay on the bed with his back to the door, still in a daze. After a while, Lu Zhizhi came in, but before he could lie down for long, Bai Zihan started to "toss and turn" again. After going back and forth like this several times, Lu Zhizhi never returned to the bedroom, and Mu Han stayed awake all night.

The next day, before daybreak, Mu Han got up early. As he left his room, he saw Lu Zhizhi coming out of the guest room. Mu Han looked at Lu Zhizhi's dark circles and felt a surge of worry. Lu Zhizhi didn't even glance at him, but walked straight into the bedroom and collapsed on the bed.

Seeing this, Mu Han thought that he must have not slept all night, so he went to make breakfast with peace of mind.

After breakfast was ready, Mu Han was about to go upstairs to wake Lu Zhizhi up for dinner. At this moment, Bai Zihan suddenly appeared from behind and said sarcastically, "Azhi didn't go back to his room to sleep last night, right? I told you long ago that Azhi is mine, and only mine."

Mu Han was not willing to be outdone and responded provocatively: "Really? I am very confident."

Bai Zihan sneered and said sarcastically, "Azhi and I have known each other since we were young. You have only been with Azhi for five years. You are just a substitute he found for me. Don't be so delusional. This is simply unrealistic."

Mu Han gave Bai Zihan an expressionless look, ignored him, and walked into the bedroom. He came to Lu Zhizhi's bedside, leaned over, and whispered softly in his ear, "Azhi, don't sleep anymore. Get up and eat before going to sleep, okay?"

Lu Zhizhi slowly opened his eyes, looked at Mu Han lazily, and said weakly, "I'm sleepy, you guys eat first."

Mu Han replied softly, "Okay."

When Mu Han went downstairs, he saw Bai Zihan already eating at the dining table. Instead of eating at the table, he took a coat and walked out slowly.
