Chapter 167 Jiang Shengli (extra)

On the farm, Jiang Shengli looked at the hoe in his hand, filled with resentment. They were both his children, so why did Jiang Xile get so much money while he was ignored?

Shouldn't the son be favored?

Even if he wasn't Jiang Wanmin's biological son, he still called him "Dad"!

Could it be that all that kindness and paternal love he once showed was just an act?

But thinking about it, it makes sense. Jiang Wanmin could just stand by and watch his daughter being tormented by his mother. What kind of loving father could he be?

"8166, what are you daydreaming about? Get to work!"

With a crack of the whip, Jiang Shengli hurriedly swung his hoe, afraid that if he hesitated even a second longer, the whip would fall on him.

8166 was Jiang Shengli's number. After entering this place, even his name was taken away, leaving him only with a string of cold numbers.

Jiang Shengli has been here for three days and has been beaten up for three days. Now he really doesn't want to be beaten up anymore.

How can there be so many wicked people in the world? Why do they have to bully him?

Jiang Shengli completely forgot that when he first came in, no one paid any attention to him. It was only because he brought this upon himself that he aroused public outrage and was taught a lesson.

In the labor camp, there were only two meals a day: a bowl of thin porridge that looked like water in the morning, plus a cornbread.

After eating, they would work continuously until they finished work in the evening, when they would be given a second meal, which was also thin porridge with cornbread, but occasionally they could see a piece or two of cabbage and potato.

When will this ever end?!

The thought of spending ten years in this godforsaken place made Jiang Shengli feel utterly devastated.

He swung the hoe vigorously, the sun burning his back until it was scorching hot, and the skin was already starting to peel.

From childhood to adulthood, when has Jiang Shengli ever done this kind of work? Alas, this is truly a year of bad luck.

"8166, hurry up! Look at others, then look at yourself. If you slack off again, I'll beat you up!"

"Slap, slap..."

Two more whip cracks.

Jiang Shengli looked distressed. He had been working as hard as he could, but his speed was nowhere near that of the older workers.

Before Jiang Shengli could explain, a whip landed on his back.

"ah!"

"You still have the nerve to yell? If you don't hurry up, you can forget about dinner tonight!"

"Brother, spare me! I've done everything I can! Please, have mercy on me! Please spare me!"

"snort!"

The foreman snorted coldly, watching Jiang Shengli keep saying nice things but taking no real action, and left with a dark face.

Jiang Shengli didn't even have time to wipe his sweat before he hurried off to work again, afraid that if he was late, someone would come looking for trouble!

The blisters on the soles of my feet had all burst, and every step I took was excruciatingly painful.

When Jiang Shengli was taken to a labor camp, Zhang Guilian and Jiang Wanmin were penniless, so they didn't give Jiang Shengli a single yuan to take with him, only two tattered clothes.

No matter where you are, you should always know a little about interpersonal relationships and social etiquette; otherwise, you might suffer losses somewhere.

No sooner had the overseer left than the two convicts who had previously beaten Jiang Shengli came over.

"8166, your speed is not good. We were entrusted by Supervisor Tang to urge you on. Now that you're here, you have to make proper improvements. Don't take any chances!"

Looking at the two burly men in front of him, Jiang Shengli couldn't help but take two steps back, his whole body trembling slightly, and the fear of impending death surged into his heart again.

"What...what are you doing...don't come any closer...don't come any closer..."

"Hehe, what a fine young man! Why are you so timid? We're here to strengthen our friendship and connect with you!"

One of the slightly darker-skinned men stepped forward and put his arm around Jiang Shengli's shoulder.

"Come on, bro, let's go to the grove over there and discuss this. I guarantee it'll improve your work speed tomorrow!"

Although Jiang Shengli was of average appearance, he was lazy and idle at home, so his skin was naturally fairer and more delicate than these rough men.

"Let go of me... I won't go... I won't go!"

"Hehe, that's not up to you!"

Another burly man stepped forward, and the two of them, one on each side, carried Jiang Shengli away.

Everyone around lowered their heads upon seeing this; at this moment, the most important thing was to protect oneself!

Three years in prison, the tomb owner is as beautiful as Diao Chan. No matter when, in those dark corners, there will inevitably be some disgusting and despicable behaviors.

"Ah... Waaah..."

A scream rang out in the woods, scaring away many birds that had been perched on the branches. As the sound gradually faded, everything returned to calm.

An hour later, the two burly men, satisfied, emerged from the woods, leaving Jiang Shengli lying there alone, like a broken rag doll, his eyes devoid of any light.

The bruises and marks on his body, along with his torn clothes, all testified to what he had gone through.

Unfortunately, no one dared to feel sorry for him; no one wanted to become the next Kang Seung-ri.

After an unknown amount of time, Jiang Shengli slowly got up from the ground, straightened his clothes, and prepared to leave this suffocating place.

As soon as Jiang Shengli stepped out of the grove, his legs were still trembling when he saw Supervisor Tang looking at him with a half-smile not far away.

"Creak..."

Gritting his teeth, Jiang Shengli knew he couldn't fight him head-on; the enemy was strong and he was weak. He didn't want to go through what had just happened again.

"Supervisor Tang..."

Jiang Shengli tugged at the corners of his mouth, revealing a smile that looked more like a grimace.
