Chapter 13 Can I Still Walk?
Before he could say no, Ji Jinhe said to him, "If you haven't eaten yet, let's eat together."
Cheng Feng is a responsible bodyguard who does whatever his employer says.
The three of them ate noodles quietly, and the camera filming the PD was only aimed at Chu Jin, and would not capture Ji Jinhe and Cheng Feng.
After eating, Cheng Feng thought Chu Jin had cooked, so he rushed to wash the dishes.
During this period, Ji Jinhe received the news that she had to leave. Before leaving, she told Chu Jin to take good care of the filming and then hurried away with Cheng Feng.
In the car, Ji Jinhe finally took a break after making a few phone calls.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement and a hint of anticipation.
The car finally drove back to Xu's house, but there was no one inside.
Ji Jinhe stood at the door and saw that the surveillance camera that used to flash was now quietly lowering its head.
Ji Jinhe curled her lips in satisfaction and went back to her room to get something.
Then he took Cheng Feng around the villa and walked towards the backyard. There was no one along the way. It was not until they arrived at a small house in the backyard that they saw two bodyguards guarding the door.
Ji Jinhe winked at Cheng Feng behind him, and Cheng Feng nodded and left.
After a while, the bodyguard was attracted away by something, and Ji Jinhe took the opportunity to slip into the room.
While closing the door, Ji Jinhe opened the photo album on his mobile phone, where a room map was quietly displayed. Ji Jinhe followed the map and arrived at the door of a room on the second floor.
He took out a key he had just taken from the room from his pocket. It was a specially made key that could open most doors on the market.
Xu Zhenqu probably didn't think of putting up defenses on the door, so Ji Jinhe opened it easily.
Entering Xu Zhenqu's secret study was easier than Ji Jinhe had imagined. Perhaps because he was not on guard, or perhaps because he was arrogant, Xu Zhenqu did not hide very well.
Coming to the computer, Ji Jinhe issued a command, inserted the USB drive while wearing gloves, and the computer started to jump automatically.
A progress bar suddenly appeared, indicating that the moving work was proceeding slowly.
Ji Jinhe took the opportunity to look around the study, where there were some certificates and trophies, most of which belonged to Xu Jinlin and Xu Jinxi.
Ji Jinhe guessed that Xu Zhenqu might show off his outstanding children when talking to others.
There were more photos of Xu Zhenqu with different people hanging in the room. Ji Jinhe recognized some familiar administrative staff among them.
She took out her cell phone and took a picture of the wall. Then, feeling uneasy, she took a careful picture of the entire study, without touching anything.
Ten minutes later, the progress bar finally reached one hundred.
Ji Jinhe took out the USB drive and left the study.
She was not curious about the rest of the house, so she walked to a window that could see the downstairs and looked down.
The two bodyguards returned to the door again. Cheng Feng saw her but felt it was not easy to attract the bodyguards away again. If it happened too often, it would arouse suspicion.
Ji Jinhe didn't want to alert the enemy, so he went to a window at the back of the house and looked down. It was about six or seven meters from the ground.
The height is okay, Ji Jinhe thought, and he put his hands on the window and was about to climb up.
Cheng Feng, who was outside the wall, was terrified. What was this ancestor trying to do?
Ji Jinhe stood on the window and estimated the height. He thought that if he jumped from this height, he would not die, but he might be disabled.
Ji Jinhe touched the protruding decoration next to him and slowly moved down.
Cheng Feng was anxiously watching from outside the fence. The Xu family's wall was wrapped with electronic fence wires and he couldn't climb over.
Otherwise, Cheng Feng would have gone in to pick up this ancestor long ago.
Cheng Feng watched Ji Jinhe carefully stepping on the decorations next to the wall, and his palms couldn't help sweating.
Before being sent to Ji Jinhe, Qi Xiuxu repeatedly instructed to protect Ji Jinhe's safety.
Fortunately, Ji Jinhe got through the whole journey safely. When there was only one meter left, Ji Jinhe planned to jump down directly to save trouble.
Ji Jinhe was in a blind spot and didn't notice that there was a stone lying below. When he jumped down, one of his feet stepped on the stone.
A piercing pain came, and Ji Jinhe sprained his ankle.
After Ji Jinhe jumped down, he was blocked by the wall. Cheng Feng couldn't see inside and had to come in through the main gate.
There is a path in the garden leading to the house in the backyard. The main entrance of the house just cannot see the path, so Ji Jinhe plans to walk there.
Halfway through the walk, Cheng Feng caught up.
When Cheng Feng saw Ji Jinhe's limping figure, his heart sank. The target of the mission was injured under his nose. How would he explain this to Qi Xiuxu?
Although he was roaring in his heart, Cheng Feng did not show it on his face. He walked over and acted as a qualified crutch from a safe distance.
Before Ji Jinhe arrived, he received news that Xu Zhenqu had temporarily transferred most of the bodyguards in the villa in order to build momentum for Xu Jinxi.
Xu Zhenqu's campaign was naturally not just for Xu Jinxi, a big part of the reason was to build the power of the Xu family.
Therefore, Ji Jinhe took this opportunity to go to his study to transfer the evidence. The surveillance had been temporarily turned off by the hackers sent by Ji Jinhe.
Everything was going smoothly, except for her feet.
Ji Jinhe looked at her ankle which was getting more and more swollen and felt that things were not going well.
Therefore, she didn't notice that Cheng Feng secretly took out his mobile phone to send a message after helping her into the car.
Miss Ji was injured, so he naturally had to tell the boss as soon as possible.
Ji Jinhe didn't expect Cheng Feng to complain. She bent down and touched the swollen ankle. She hissed in pain and then stopped moving her foot.
Thinking back to what happened just now, Ji Jinhe felt extremely regretful as to why she had done that desperate move.
She has always followed the principle of less trouble is worse than more, but now she is hurt by it.
Cheng Feng slowly started the car. He drove very fast on the way to Xu's house. Ji Jinhe was afraid that Xu Zhenqu would come back early, so he hurried back to Xu's house.
Now that the work was done and Ji Jinhe was still injured, Cheng Feng drove slower.
By the time they arrived at the hospital entrance, Ji Jinhe was already feeling drowsy.
Ji Jinhe slowly opened his eyes and felt a figure walking quickly towards the front of the car. He looked very familiar.
Ji Jinhe opened his eyes wide and saw that the person coming was Qi Xiuxu.
Ji Jinhe looked at Cheng Feng fiercely, his tone full of disbelief: "You told my brother?"
Seeing his boss coming, Cheng Feng got out of the car respectfully and replied to Ji Jinhe: "Miss Ji, this is my duty."
Qi Xiuxu had already walked to the side of the car. Cheng Feng greeted him respectfully and stood aside.
Sitting in the car, Ji Jinhe felt the cold aura emanating from Qi Xiuxu for the first time in a long time.
The door beside him opened, and Qi Xiuxu stood outside and asked, "Can you still go?"
Ji Jinhe looked at it eagerly and said, "Yes." But he needs support, otherwise he can't walk.
Qi Xiuxu glanced at Ji Jinhe's swollen ankle without saying a word. He put one hand around Ji Jinhe's waist and the other hand around her knees, then picked up Ji Jinhe sideways.
