Chapter 63: A backup plan

Chapter 63: A backup plan

Ji Jinhe nodded and pulled Qi Xiuxu into the company.

A group of people followed the two of them tremblingly. Mu Zhao walked around and came to the back of Ji Jinhe and next to Cheng Feng.

Cheng Feng tilted his head to look at her, "Why did you come to Hai City?"

"I'm Miss Ji's assistant. I'll be wherever Miss Ji is." Mu Zhao rolled his eyes slightly.

Her work mainly revolves around Ji Jinhe. When Ji Jinhe goes out on vacation, such as this cruise trip, she will not follow him.

But on other weekdays, she has to follow Ji Jinhe wherever he goes and be available at any time.

This might be the pain of a high salary, Mu Zhao thought.

A group of people walked to the front desk, and the receptionist nervously took out a bouquet of flowers and walked up to Ji Jinhe: "Mr. Ji, these are flowers sent by Minghai Bank."

Ji Jinhe lowered her eyes to look at the bouquet of flowers, guessing that someone must have received the news that Ji Jinhe would come to Yunqi, so she sent the flowers in advance as a gesture of goodwill.

Ji Jinhe has some assets deposited in Minghai Bank but not much. The other party's purpose of currying favor is obvious, which is nothing more than wanting Ji Jinhe to deposit more assets in their bank.

Qi Xiuxu lowered his eyes and looked at the bouquet of flowers, his lips straightened.

Mu Zhao sensed the strange atmosphere, looked around, and finally reached out and pushed Cheng Feng out.

Cheng Feng was forced to take a step forward, and for a moment everyone's attention was focused on him.

"Haha," he laughed awkwardly and reached out to take the bouquet of flowers. "Let me take it, let me take it."

Ji Jinhe raised her eyebrows and looked at Qi Xiuxu with a smile in her eyes.

Qi Xiuxu lowered his eyes to look at her, took her hand and said, "Let's go."

Ji Jinhe walked around the company, pointed out several areas for improvement, and then went to the top floor surrounded by the CEO and several managers.

Ji Jinhe had worked here for a period of time, so he was quite familiar with the place.

When passing by a place, Ji Jinhe pointed there and showed it to Qi Xiuxu, "That's the office they arranged for me on my first day here."

When Ji Jinhe first came to Yunqi, no one here took this parachuted-in vice president seriously. They even assigned her the most remote office because of her young age.

It was not until she made some achievements that the presidents and managers personally invited her to the best office and never dared to look down on her again.

To this day, although Ji Jinhe holds the title of chairman, her abilities are recognized by everyone. Therefore, when faced with decisions concerning the company's development, people in the company will be the first to hand documents to Ji Jinhe.

Almost all the companies under Ji Jinhe's name have this habit, which means Mu Zhao needs to report to her on the situation and development of certain companies every day.

Qi Xiuxu looked in the direction she pointed. It was an office opposite the tea room. The office was simply decorated and did not have many facilities.

His brows furrowed slightly, and he looked unhappy.

Ji Jinhe shook his hand and chuckled, "This is proof of my strength."

It only took Ji Jinhe half a month to move from the most remote office to the best office.

In the end, only a few important figures in the company were left following Ji Jinhe, and they came to the president's office.

Ji Jinhe was sitting in an office chair reading documents. The executive CEO nervously showed Ji Jinhe the performance figures for the year. Several managers standing by couldn't help wiping their sweat.

Qi Xiuxu sat lazily on the sofa beside him, his legs crossed and leaning against the backrest. His temperament was calm and reserved, and his dignity could not be concealed.

This executive CEO was promoted by Ji Jinhe when he stepped back as chairman. He had never met Qi Xiuxu but had seen him in financial news. He was so nervous that he was sweating.

The secretary brought in the tea sensibly. Just as Ji Jinhe was about to pick up the cup to drink, Qi Xiuxu stopped him.

Ji Jinhe turned around and looked.

"I couldn't sleep at night after drinking." A smile flashed in Qi Xiuxu's eyes.

Ji Jinhe also remembered the night when she asked Qi Xiuxu to play the piano to help her sleep. Her frown relaxed and she blinked at him.

When Mu Zhao heard Qi Xiuxu's words, he went out to pour a glass of orange juice. When he was about to come in, a woman suddenly rushed out from outside the door.

"Who are you?" the woman pointed at Mu Zhao and asked.

Mu Zhao frowned, protecting the orange juice from spilling, and winked at Cheng Feng.

The two of them had a rare tacit understanding. Cheng Feng stopped the woman from trying to break in and asked sternly, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"I'm your aunt!" the woman screamed. As she struggled, she saw Ji Jinhe sitting in the office inside the door. "Who is she? Why is she sitting in my husband's seat? Who is this bitch?"

A woman's voice came through the open door. Ji Jinhe threw the documents on the table with an expressionless face.

The loud bang startled the CEO and several managers. The executive CEO wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said, "I'm sorry, Director Ji, I'll kick her out right away."

After saying that, he strode towards the door. Soon after, the woman at the door struggled and was pulled away.

Ji Jinhe knocked on the table and asked, "What's going on?"

Several managers exchanged glances, and one of them hesitated and said, "That's Mr. Zhou's wife. She's quite suspicious and might have misunderstood you as..."

No one could or dared to say the following words.

The executive CEO was Zhou Yuyang. When Ji Jinhe came to the company, he was a newly promoted company manager. Later, Ji Jinhe personally promoted him to executive CEO. Several years later, he was married and had children.

Ji Jinhe no longer had the mood to continue looking at the documents, so he waved his hand and asked everyone to leave.

The office door was closed. Qi Xiuxu came over and hugged her, gently touching her head and saying, "People change."

"I'm not angry." Ji Jinhe looked up.

Qi Xiuxu chuckled and agreed, "Well, you're not angry."

Ji Jinhe: “…”

After a while, Ji Jinhe suddenly looked up, his eyes narrowed dangerously, "If you ever..."

Before he could finish his words, Qi Xiuxu covered his mouth. He seemed to laugh out of anger, "That will never be possible."

If Ji Jinhe doesn't take the initiative, he will always be a good brother and be her biggest supporter.

There was no plan in his life to marry and have children, and everything would be given to Ji Jinhe until his death.

Ji Jinhe blinked lightly, buried her head in his neck, and then someone lifted her head up again.

After a while, Qi Xiuxu rubbed the back of her head and said, "I'm going to go out for a while."

Ji Jinhe guessed what he wanted to do and sat back in his office chair with a hum.

Qi Xiuxu has unique management skills. Although the company has been transferred to Ji Jinhe, no one dares to take him lightly. After all these years, people still respect and fear him when they see him.

Qi Xiuxu just sat on the sofa and didn't say anything, but Ji Jinhe still noticed the sharp aura on his body for a moment.

After Qi Xiuxu left, Mu Zhao came back in with the glass of orange juice.

After Ji Jinhe finished most of the orange juice in one gulp, Mu Zhao slowly reported, "Miss Ji, President Jiang has found out that the Xu family didn't use all the funds for their participation in the Mingxi Project and they even have a backup plan."
