Chapter 204: Your Majesty, the Empress is in Trouble
The woman in red robes sneered: "Dream on. You think you can kill me with just a few of you?"
"Don't be reckless!" Another man in white robes pointed at her hand holding the spear, blood slowly trickling down her wrist. "If we join forces again, we can easily defeat you!"
The woman in the red robe narrowed her golden eyes dangerously, her gaze filled with intense hatred: "Your Holy Church puts on a holy facade, but the despicable things you do behind the scenes are no less than those of the demons! Besides, the Mirror of Myriad Manifestations is my symbol, so how can you talk about returning it!"
"We have no choice but to obey the Holy Leader's orders!"
The white-robed man was radiating light-elemental spiritual energy, which visibly condensed into long arrows: "Since you are so stubborn, we will personally send you to your death and then steal your Mirror of Myriad Manifestations!"
The woman in the red robe smiled slightly, then with a flick of her wrist, she plunged her spear into the ground: "My fate is in my own hands, not yours!"
"Qingzhu, heed my command and come to protect me!"
A roar came from underground, and a giant emerald green python burst out of the ground. It was tens of meters long and had nine black eyes on its head. It coiled around the woman in red robes and opened its mouth wide at the five men in white robes, its white fangs gleaming with a cold light.
The enormous python stood tall, its body blotting out the sky and emitting a strong, bluish-green venom. Wherever the venom passed, withered branches and leaves lay barren, and not a single blade of grass grew!
Ye Fei instinctively tried to run away, but then suddenly remembered that there was a white fairy orchid known as the Ten Thousand Poisons Meteorite growing in her mental space.
"Qingli, can the white orchid resist this snake venom?" Ye Fei asked.
Qingli nodded: "Of course! Master, don't worry!"
"Oh no! It's a Nine-Eyed Green Python!"
"Defend! Defend!"
An urgent shout shattered the momentary stillness, and the five white-robed men immediately brandished their scepters. Light-elemental spiritual power enveloped each of them like a pillar of light, preventing the poisonous gas from getting close.
With a wave of her hand, the woman in the red robe caused the python to raise its massive tail and slam it onto the ground with a loud crack!
The cracks spread out like a spider web from the python's center. The five white-robed men were startled by this sudden turn of events and all of them lost their footing and fell deep into the ground.
"Master! Run! This tree is going to fall!"
Qingli cried out anxiously. The tree beneath her feet was about to collapse due to the spreading cracks. Yefei quickly swung out the Prisoner Orchid in her left hand. The long branches rushed up quickly, trying to entangle the stones in the nearby open space.
However, Ye Fei miscalculated—the length of the Prisoner Orchid was limited, and the stone and the branch were just a little short of each other…
"Damn it!" Ye Fei cursed. She immediately put Qing Li into her mental space and frantically searched for a place to stand, but the ground on all sides collapsed completely. Where was there any space for her to use the Phantom Step?
Ye Fei's figure was exposed to the red-robed woman's eyes.
They stared at each other for a brief moment, then simultaneously fell to the ground—
After the earthquake had completely subsided, a tall figure appeared in the open space.
"Oh no..."
Jiang Bai stared at the seemingly bottomless pit before him, a hint of urgency on his face.
He immediately turned and left, taking out a communication stone from his pocket to send a message: "Your Majesty, the Empress is in trouble!"
...
Ye Fei slowly opened her eyes.
Her back was injured by the hard stone, and the stinging pain made her frown.
She struggled to her feet, but all she could see was darkness; it seemed she had fallen into a hole in the ground.
Just then, she suddenly sensed someone behind her. She quickly turned around, but instead of seeing anyone, she was greeted by a pair of piercingly cold, bright golden eyes.
