Chapter 205 Hostility

Chapter 205: Hostility

Ye Fei recognized those eyes—they were a radiant, golden color, seemingly warm like the rising sun, yet they were permeated with an icy chill.

Without even guessing, Ye Fei knew that the red-robed woman, who resembled a Valkyrie, was right in front of her.

In the dead silence, a snap of fingers suddenly rang out, and a crimson flame ignited at the fingertips of the woman in the red robe, illuminating the entire space.

Ye Fei found herself in a huge cave, surrounded by hard stone walls. The temperature inside the cave was unusually cold, even somewhat frigid.

Then, looking at the woman in red robes sitting on the ground, the long spear was firmly planted in the ground. She sat cross-legged with her back against the spear, and there were dried bloodstains on the back of her hands.

She stared at Ye Fei with her golden eyes, her expressionless gaze cold and unapproachable, even carrying a hint of hostility.

Ye Fei assumed the woman in red was one of the group of people in white robes, so she didn't speak to her. Instead, she used the firelight to observe the entire cave.

The temperature inside the cave was too low, and she was only dressed in thin clothes. She had to find a way out of the cave before she completely lost her heat.

Ye Fei gently exhaled a breath of stale air and began to walk forward.

The woman in the red robe watched her frail figure walk further and further away, her eyes flashing slightly, but her indifference remained unchanged.

After walking for a while, Ye Fei discovered several forks in the road ahead.

She thought for a moment, picked up a few stones from the ground beside her, and then threw them into the forks in the path.

The stones rolled on the ground, making an echo. The echoes in the forks in the road ahead quickly disappeared completely, and Ye Fei knew that those were all dead ends.

The echo from the last fork in the road grew fainter but didn't disappear completely. Without hesitation, Ye Fei walked down that road.

After walking for a while, Ye Fei noticed someone following her. She turned around and saw the red-robed woman whose name she didn't know.

The two maintained a rather unfamiliar distance. Ye Fei remained silent, letting her follow behind him, and silently adjusted the mechanism of the hidden arrow in her sleeve to a position convenient for firing.

She knew this woman in red was very strong, but if she harbored any ill intentions towards her, she would certainly not hesitate to retaliate.

Soon, Ye Fei noticed that the road had become wider and wider, and light was shining in.

It's for export!

But Ye Fei didn't rush over because she keenly sensed other footsteps outside the cave entrance.

Ye Fei stopped in her tracks. There were no plants nearby, so she couldn't use them to help her senses. She raised her left hand, and a light blue five-petaled orchid climbed up her arm.

The woman in the red robe glanced at the orchid in her hand, a flash of surprise crossing her eyes.

The Imprisoned Bone Orchid silently crawled along the cave wall towards the cave entrance. Ye Fei sensed faint wisps of light-elemental spiritual energy outside the cave entrance through the Imprisoned Bone Orchid.

It was that group of people in white robes.

Ye Fei glanced at the woman in red robes behind her; the group of people in white robes must have come looking for her.

Thinking of this, Ye Fei put away the Imprisoned Bone Orchid and slowly walked out of the cave. The person behind her probably sensed something and therefore did not follow.

After stepping out of the cave, Ye Fei found herself in another underground cave.

The footsteps came from a man in white robes; he must have been alone, with no other companions around.

Upon seeing Ye Fei's appearance, the man in white frowned slightly and slowly walked over, asking, "Who are you? Why are you here?"

Ye Fei replied naturally, "I'm a mercenary here for training. Not long ago, the ground suddenly cracked open and I accidentally fell into a hole."

The man in white robes stared into her clear, innocent eyes, and his caution and hostility vanished. He no longer suspected anything: "I see. I come from the Holy Church and am a member of the Holy Order."
