Ye Fei was very interested in the gemstone inlay and immediately grabbed Yun Fusang and ran downstairs, with Xie Qingui and Li Yuan following behind.
After going downstairs, Ye Fei saw several large wooden crates nearby, filled with gray stones of varying sizes.
“This is the rough stone.” Xie Qingui picked up one of the rough stones, which was only the size of a fist. “The size of the rough stone does not directly determine whether a gemstone exists. Even a rough stone as small as this may contain one or more gemstones.”
Ye Fei asked, "If two gems are cut from the same rough stone, will both gems have the same beneficial attributes?"
"Not necessarily." Xie Qin Gui shook his head.
How can you distinguish the beneficial attributes of different gems?
Xie Qingui said, "Crimson gems are for attack, dark blue gems are for agility, golden gems are for defense, turquoise gems are for control, and dark black gems are for immunity—a total of five types of gems, corresponding to five types of buffs."
Ye Fei finally gained some understanding of how to inlay gems into weapons. She looked at the raw stones in the box and raised her eyebrows.
Just by looking at them, each piece of raw stone looks almost identical.
Sure enough, it's impossible to tell whether it contains gemstones with the naked eye alone.
Xie Qingui and Yun Fusang walked to the other side of the wooden box and rummaged through the raw stones. Li Yuan stood beside Ye Fei, looking at her with a faint light in his eyes: "Do you want to give it a try?"
"Of course I want to! But I don't know where to start right now." Ye Fei sighed.
Li Yuan looked at Ye Fei's troubled expression and found it rather cute, so he reached out and pinched her cheek.
Ye Fei glared at him: "Don't make a move!"
"Choose one." Li Yuan raised the corners of his lips. "I'll pay for it for you."
Ye Fei: "..."
She stared at a sign on the wooden box that read, "One rough stone, one thousand gold coins."
No wonder so many people are willing to spend a fortune or even go bankrupt to gamble on raw gems. If they happen to get incredibly lucky and find a gem with excellent attributes, then it's a sure thing.
Just as Ye Fei was about to casually pick up a rough stone to test the waters, Qing Li's voice came from beside her ear: "Master, there is no gemstone in this stone you are looking for."
Ye Fei was slightly taken aback. It turned out that Qing Li was communicating with her through the mental space. She was somewhat surprised: "How do you know there are no gems inside this rough stone?"

Hearing this, Ye Fei silently put down the raw stone in her hand. Li Yuan asked in confusion, "You don't want it anymore?"

Under Qingli's direction, Yefei rummaged through the wooden box and found two raw stones at the bottom.

"Qingli, can you tell what color the gemstone inside the rough stone is with your ability to see?" Ye Fei asked again.
"No, Qingli only knows that there are gemstones hidden in these two stones, but she can't tell what color they are," Qingli replied truthfully.
Ye Fei glanced at the wooden crate that had been touched so much that it was now just a pile of scrap.
There are at least fifty raw stones in this wooden box, but only two of them contain hidden secrets... This is really too much.
