Chapter 273: Level Assessment
Ye Fei looked at the young man and blinked her eyes: "Is it not allowed for a thirteen-year-old to be assessed for an alchemist's level?"
The young man wiped his sweat and chuckled dryly, "Sure, of course... This way, young lady."
Ye Fei followed the young man to another hall, where several alchemists were gathered together discussing something. Upon seeing the young man leading Ye Fei over, they immediately stopped their discussion.
"Senior Brother Bai, what are you doing here with a little girl?" The speaker was a young man with a baby face. He stroked his chin and looked Ye Fei up and down, as if trying to find something out about her.
"This young lady is here for a level assessment." The young man smiled at the baby-faced girl, then lowered his eyes to Ye Fei and said, "I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Bai Yueze."
"What?! She's here for a level assessment?!"
The baby-faced girl stared wide-eyed at Ye Fei with disbelief, saying in an incredulous tone, "Little girl, are you here to make fun of us? You look like you're not even of marriageable age yet, how could you possibly be an alchemist?"
The other alchemists standing next to the baby-faced woman also looked at Ye Fei with questioning eyes.
Ye Fei wasn't angry. She said calmly, "I've disappointed you. I am indeed an alchemist."
After saying that, she turned to Bai Yueze and said, "Young Master Bai, I have things to do later, so please take me to complete the level assessment as soon as possible."
A hint of surprise flashed in Bai Yueze's eyes; he was captivated by Ye Fei's calm and composed aura.
Alchemists are the most sought-after and respected profession among spiritual masters today. For this reason, alchemists are generally quite proud and find it difficult to accept those who question them.
But the girl was too calm when faced with the questions; there was no anger, resentment, or unwillingness on her face.

Bai Yueze led Ye Fei to a room, knocked on the door, and then opened it to let Ye Fei in.
Ye Fei entered the room, which was quite spacious. Several bookshelves and display shelves were placed in front of the light blue walls. The bookshelves were piled high with books, which were undoubtedly ancient alchemical texts or medical books. The display shelves were filled with rows of immortal flowers and herbs.
The entire space was filled with a pleasant medicinal fragrance. An old man in a black robe stood by the window with his back to Ye Fei, only turning around when he heard the door open.
Bai Yueze bowed to the old man in black and said, "Grand Pharmacist, this young lady needs to undergo a level assessment."
The Grand Pharmacist had a very imposing appearance, with thick eyebrows and a white beard. His seemingly weathered eyes were filled with a sharp glint, and just one glance from him could make you feel intimidated.
Ye Fei didn't know who this old man was, but to have his own private room in the Pill Refining Association meant he must have a very high status.
She clasped her hands in greeting to the Grand Pharmacist, her eyes slightly lowered: "Hello, my name is Ye Fei. I am here today to take the alchemist level assessment. I hope you will give me your guidance, senior."
