Chapter 343: I'll be with you
Upon hearing that familiar voice, Ye Fei breathed a sigh of relief and whispered, "Jing Shen, it's me."

A handsome face emerged from the cave; it was Mu Jingshen. However, his battle robe had obvious scratches, and there were several bright red bloodstains on his face, suggesting that he had just experienced a major battle.
Mu Jingshen immediately sheathed his sword. When he saw Ye Fei's face, the coldness on his face vanished completely: "Xiao Fei... are you alright?"

“She is the ruler of the demon realm, the Holy Emperor Chi Ye.” Ye Fei said briefly, then helped Mu Jingshen up and added, “She is looking for a medicinal herb to treat internal injuries, and she is traveling with us for the time being.”
"Holy Emperor Chi Ye..." Mu Jingshen's eyes showed a hint of surprise. Wasn't the legendary Demon King Chi Ye supposed to hate humans? Why was he with Xiao Fei and Rong Yu, and even looking for medicinal herbs along the way?

"There is an Ice Bone Spirit Ginseng in that cave."
Ye Fei's eyes lit up upon hearing this: Ice Bone Spirit Ginseng! These were some of the extremely cold medicinal herbs that Lian had previously listed for her!
She immediately turned back and slowly approached the cave. A bone-chilling cold hit her, making her shiver involuntarily.
Just as she was about to step into the cave, her arm was grabbed. Ye Fei turned around and saw that it was Chi Ye.
Chi Ye stared intently at her: "Why do you want to go in?"
“There’s a medicinal herb inside that I desperately need,” Ye Fei answered directly, not intending to hide anything from Chi Ye.
Chi Ye raised his eyes and glanced at the cave that exuded an infinitely cold aura, frowning: "The cold air in this cave is too strong. You are not an ice-type spirit master. With your cultivation level, you will only freeze to death if you go in."
"I must go in." Ye Fei stared intently at Chi Ye, her dark eyes flashing with an undeniable determination.
Chi Ye pursed her red lips, and after a long while, she sighed, "Alright, I'll go in with you."
Ye Fei shook her head: "No need, you can actually wait for me outside..."
“With me by your side, you won’t suffer from the icy energy entering your body.” Chi Ye glanced at her and then stepped directly into the cave.
