Chapter 899: Becoming a Disciple (Part 3)
There are two extremes in witchcraft: light and darkness, which are opposites.
Ye Fei recalled Xiao Qing, who had given her a prophecy. She was also a witch, but she studied witchcraft that leaned towards the light, and could only use it for exorcism, divination, and prophecy.
However, witchcraft that leans towards the dark side is mostly used for curses, poisoning, and summoning spirits.
Ye Fei didn't hesitate for long: "Master, I will learn witchcraft from you."
"You seem to have agreed without much thought," Shun stared at the girl for a long time. "Why?"
Ye Fei replied, "Whether it's light magic or dark magic depends on the user's purpose. If used for good, dark magic can uphold justice. If used for evil, light magic can harm others."
His eyes flickered slightly, and the next second, a hint of relief appeared on his handsome face. His voice, which had been cold and sharp, softened as if it were wrapped in frost: "I knew I hadn't misjudged you."
Yoruhi met Shun calmly: "Moreover, I want to explore more unknown areas with my own strength, and after I have completely mastered this ability, I will protect the things I want to protect."
Shun inexplicably felt a strange heaviness when Ye Fei said those words.
He paused for a moment, then asked, "Did something happen that made you think this way?"
Ye Fei lowered her eyes, a slightly bitter smile curving her lips.
After a long pause, she raised her eyes again: "I will explain this to you in detail later."
Shun didn't force her, but simply nodded: "Okay, I'll wait for that day to come."

Ye Fei moved into the log cabin.
"Master, where do you usually live?" Ye Fei asked, peeking out from the small wooden house.
Shun said calmly, "I live elsewhere, not far from you, so there's no need to worry."
He paused, his eyes narrowing slightly: "Get some rest early tonight. I'll begin teaching you tomorrow. Let me tell you in advance, my teaching methods don't include the word 'mercy'."
Ye Fei nodded obediently: "A strict teacher produces outstanding students, I understand, Master."
"Also—" Shun turned to look at Rongxi and Hualing, "Are these two your friends?"
"Uh, them..." Ye Fei didn't know how to tell her master for a moment.
Rongxi walked over with a smile, her eyes meeting Shun's: "I am the lord of the Arctic Ice Zone, and a friend of Xiaofeifei."
Shun raised an eyebrow: "Ice Phoenix, Banyan Breath?"
"It is indeed I," Rongxi said with a wicked smile.
Ye Fei frowned. Little Fei Fei?
She had forgotten that Rongxi and Hualing were both present when she told her master her real name.
The boy in white slowly followed, bowed to Shun, and said, "My name is Hua Ling, and I came here with Xiao Fei."
Shun then turned his gaze to the boy in front of him.
Strange, this boy seems a bit odd... He can't quite figure him out.
The only thing that can be confirmed is that this boy is definitely not human.
Shun temporarily put aside his thoughts, his voice clear and cold: "The cabin was prepared for my disciples. Men and women should not be too close, so I'm afraid there won't be a place for you to rest."
"You need not worry, we have our own accommodations," Hua Ling replied with a light laugh.
He said nothing more and left with a cold flick of his sleeve.
He only trusted the disciples he had recognized, and did not trust Rongxi or Hualing.
But the entire grove was within his detection range, and with him there, none of them could do anything out of line to his disciple.
