Chapter 159: Killing Each Other

Chapter 159: Killing Each Other

The place where Yan Haiyang fell happened to be the company's main gate. A person suddenly fell from above early in the morning. Many employees who walked to the door were stunned and ran into the company in fear. The security guard at the door was also shocked. He had been working here for more than ten years and had never seen a case of jumping from a building. As part of his duty, he could only suppress his fear and turn the body over.

The security guard was very familiar with the three Yan brothers. After recognizing Yan Haiyang, he immediately notified his superiors.

In the president's office, the secretary was angry because Yan Haiyang didn't come out of the lounge for a long time. He knocked on the door and shouted "Mr. Yan", but no one responded. At this moment, the cell phone rang. It was the security department calling. After answering the call, the secretary rushed open the lounge door with a pale face. Seeing the open window, his heart sank.

"What? He's dead?" Shen Shian, who had just returned to his apartment, received a call from the police station. He was a little confused by the news that Yan Haiyang had fallen to his death: "Was it suicide or homicide?"

"The evidence collected from the crime scene, the testimonies of the witnesses, and the results of the forensic examination all indicate that the fall was accidental. He was supposed to be at a meeting, but he locked himself in the lounge. His secretary called him several times but he kept stalling. He didn't want to face the debt collectors, so he escaped through the window. Who knew he would fall directly from the building?"

"Can you send me the evidence and medical examination?" Due to his profession, he was used to keeping clues in everything.

"Send me your email address and I will try my best to send you what I can." said the police officer.

"Thank you." Five minutes later, Shen Shian received a compressed package in his mailbox. After decompressing it, he saved the file and called Yan Nuo while reading it.

"Hey, Brother Shi'an, good morning!" Yan Nuo's voice was full of energy.

"Good morning, sister-in-law. I just received the news that Yan Haiyang passed away. He fell from a building and died." Shen Shi'an said straight to the point.

Naturally, this news surprised Yan Nuo: "Did he fall from the building accidentally?"

"Yes, he shouldered all of the Yan Group's debts and was overwhelmed. He hid in his office and tried to escape through the window, but he slipped and fell out."

"Maybe this is the price he should pay." Yan Nuo had no feelings for this uncle, so his death naturally wouldn't cause any ripples in her heart.

However, she was worried about one person.

The three Yan brothers were either imprisoned or died, leaving only a group of women and children in the Yan family. The gears of fate began to turn, and Yan Sidi was afraid that she would be in danger.

"Brother Shi'an, thank you for telling me this news. I have something to do, so that's it for now. You've been so busy lately, so you should take a rest." Yan Nuo said considerately.

Shen Shian hummed, "I've dealt with all the threats to you. I can really sleep soundly now. That's it, hang up now."

After ending the call, Yan Nuo called Dahai to prepare a car to return to Yinwan Mansion.

Arriving at Yinwan Mansion, Yan Nuo hurried into the villa. Yan's mother, who was sitting in the living room arranging flowers, saw her anxious expression and asked hurriedly, "Miss, what happened?"

"Yan Haiyang accidentally fell to his death this morning. He fell from the president's office of Yan Group and died." Yan Nuo said calmly.

Death is indeed a heart-wrenching thing, but Yan's mother still had to slap her thigh and say, "He deserves it!"

"Miss, now that the three of them are gone, you can live your life well." Yan's mother took out the calendar and turned it over: "The day after tomorrow is a good day. We can go to pay our respects to Mr. and Mrs.

"Well, I'll come back the day after tomorrow to prepare the sacrifice with you. Mom Yan, where is Sister Jiang? Is she here?" Yan Nuo asked.

"Xiao Jiang is in the basement sorting out cardboard boxes. A friend of hers brought her three chickens from the countryside. She plans to raise them in the mansion and fatten them up so she can slaughter them and make soup for you. One of the chickens is a little small, so Xiao Jiang plans to make a comfortable coop for it. The three chickens are now kept under a tree in the back garden. Do you want to go and see them?"

Yan Nuo smiled and said, "Hehe, I'm glad I saw them at the dining table. Now I need you and Sister Jiang to help me with something."

Naturally, Yan's mother agreed to her request and went to the basement to call Sister Jiang up.

After pouring tea for the two, Yan Nuo said, "The Yan family is in danger now. I want to take you to the old house to see if Yan Sidi has been sent to exchange for money. If she is in danger, I hope you will come forward to rescue her."

"Yan Sidi?" Upon hearing this name, Yan's mother and Jiang Jie were both disgusted and didn't want to help at all.

"Miss, every time you go to the Yan family, Yan Sidi is always making trouble for you. Why do you still want to help her? If Zhang Xiuli wants to send her out, then just send her out. It's what she deserves. Who told her and her mother to bully you?" Sister Jiang's face was almost cold, which showed how much she repelled Yan Sidi.

"Jiang Jie, I used to hate Yan Sidi too, but I changed my mind later. This year, when we were paying respects to my parents, I saw Yan Sidi doing the same."

"She also went to pay tribute to the master and his wife? When?" Yan's mother didn't know about that yet.

"After I came down the mountain, I left something at the cemetery. When I went back up, I saw Yan Sidi holding carnations and coming to pay respect to my parents. She came up the mountain from the small path."

When Yan Nuo spoke, Sister Jiang believed him without hesitation. What she didn't believe was Yan Sidi. "She actually brought flowers to pay tribute to the master and his wife. What does she want to do?"

"Yes, my parents have been dead for ten years. Even the old lady doesn't remember their memorial day, but Yan Sidi does. For her kindness, I can't just ignore her. I'll help her as much as I can." Yan Nuo is just like that. If others treat her well, she will return the favor tenfold.

"Then let's go." Yan's mother and Jiang Jie agreed.

At this time, the Yan family’s old house was filled with crying.

Zhang Xiuli came back from the hospital with a bandage on her head, crying while holding her youngest son.

Old Mrs. Yan had been crying for a long time. Now she has calmed down and is sitting on the sofa with a gloomy face, not wanting to talk.

Her third daughter-in-law knelt at her feet and cried bitterly: "Mom, it was Second Uncle who wanted to take the money and flee the country, which caused Haiyang to fall to his death. If Second Uncle had had some humanity and turned himself in, Haiyang would not have died, and you would not have lost an innocent son. There would be no one to support you in your old age."

The last sentence stung Old Lady Yan. She slapped her hard and said angrily, "Are you happy that I have no one to take care of me in my old age? Haiyang is my son, and Haisong is also my son. What qualifications do you, an outsider, have to sow discord between the two brothers?"

The third daughter-in-law was furious: "Do I need to stir up trouble? I just went to the company and asked the secretary. Second uncle transferred the company's debt to Hai Yang's name last night. He wants Hai Yang to die. How can Hai Yang afford to pay back the debt?"

"It's just a transfer of debt, what does it mean? I don't believe my son would be so heartless as to harm his own brother. You vicious woman, you can't even rest in peace after his death, and you're talking nonsense here! If you say something like that again, I'll kick you out of here."

Old Lady Yan was disgusted by the third daughter-in-law's words. How could she not know the character of the children she had raised? The second, third, and fourth children grew up together, valued friendship and loyalty, and were like brothers. How could they possibly kill each other?
