Chapter 84 Even though you have an attitude, you still hurt me

Fu Shangbei chased to the door and stretched out an arm to stop his angry wife. She looked cute and pitiful when she was angry. The man said softly, "You have to hold me in your arms every night to fall asleep. You can't sleep if I sleep in the guest room."

"Did you misunderstand something?" Yan Nuo extended her index finger and placed it on the man's chest, saying sarcastically, "It's not that I have to hold you in my arms to sleep. I can also hold a big white bear and sleep."

"I can't sleep without you." The man changed his tone, reached out and held the finger, and gazed tenderly at his wife's gentle face: "Honey, I apologize for asking for divorce just now. Actually, I haven't finished what I said just now."

"If you haven't finished, then don't finish. What you said wasn't nice anyway."

"...Can you give me a chance to explain?"

"Then I'll give you a chance and force you to finish." Yan Nuo retracted his fingers, put his hands in his pockets, turned around and walked back to the stool in front of the piano and sat down, with an expression of "Go ahead and talk, I'm listening", so pure, so tolerant.

"Thank you, my wife, for being understanding and willing to give me a chance to explain." Fu Shangbei curled up the corners of his lips. He was finally able to fight for not sleeping in the study. He was so happy that he half squatted down, took Yan Nuo's hand, and squeezed it softly.

"Explain quickly and don't touch me." Yan Nuo rolled his eyes at the man unhappily.

Fu Shangbei coughed lightly and said seriously, "The doctor said there's nothing wrong with my body, but my mental issues... He was surprised that I haven't had an attack in the past three months. He thinks my mental issues are gradually getting better. This has never happened before. I used to have an attack every month, and I had to rely on myself and acupuncture to alleviate it."

"So what have you done in the past three months? Do you remember? Will you be able to recover if you follow these three months?" Yan Nuo was very concerned about his condition, and even when he was angry, he couldn't help but show his concern.

Fu Shangbei raised the corners of his lips and looked deeply into his wife's eyes: "I have only done one thing in the past three months, which is to end my personal life and start a new life with you. Maybe you are the key to solving my psychological problems."

"Is this true? You're not lying just to avoid sleeping in the guest room, are you? How could I be the key?" Yan Nuo frowned in confusion.

"It's because of you that I know how difficult my illness is. It's because I live with you that I've gotten better. Even if you ask me for a scientific explanation, I can't explain this phenomenon."

"Then, can that room be demolished?" Yan Nuo was still very skeptical about this statement, mainly because the explanation was too bizarre. She hadn't done anything during this period, so how could it become the key factor in curing his psychological problems?

"Not yet... I'm afraid I'll have problems later..." Fu Shangbei lowered his eyes sadly, lost for a few seconds, and then cheered up again: "If I can't completely overcome it after the baby is born, then I won't live here."

Curing an illness cannot be accomplished overnight. Yan Nuo understood this and stopped asking about it. It would be better not to rub salt into his wounds easily.

"Another thing, do you still want a divorce?" Yan Nuo's eyes were cold.

"No, I won't leave." How could Fu Shangbei dare to disobey her? This little girl seemed easy to talk to at ordinary times, but when she got angry she became very fierce and could even drive him out of the bedroom. It was so scary.

"Although you have an attitude, you still hurt me. I was heartbroken when I heard you say you wanted a divorce." Yan Nuo looked sad and hurt.

Fu Shangbei stared blankly at his wife's sudden change from indifference to sadness. After confirming that she was pretending, he boldly revealed, "Why didn't I feel your heartache?"

"It's my heartache, not yours. It's strange that you can feel it."

"...Then what do you want me to do?"

"I won't give you a back massage anymore."

"So, you don't need to massage my back, and my heart won't ache anymore? You don't want to fulfill that promise anymore, right?"

"I'm so tired." Yan Nuo pouted proudly.

"Okay, I won't do that anymore." Fu Shangbei smiled fondly, "I'll give you a back massage and leg massage from now on, how about that? Can you forgive me?"

"Okay, I forgive you." Yan Nuo yawned and blinked his dry eyes.

Fu Shangbei said distressedly: "Can we go back to the room and sleep now?"

"Yeah." Yan Nuo lay in the man's arms. Without the psychological pressure, sleep came to her like a mountain in an instant.

"Go to sleep." Fu Shangbei picked her up and held her sideways.

Jiang's mother, who had been pretending to wipe the table in the living room, felt relieved when she saw the couple coming out of the piano room. She tactfully got up and went into the kitchen to heat two cups of milk and brought them upstairs.

"Master, drinking some milk will help you sleep better."

"Yeah." Fu Shangbei took the milk, put it on the bedside table, picked up a cup and walked to Yan Nuo: "Wife, drink it before going to sleep."

"That's too much. I'll drink half. Next time, tell Jiang Ma not to pour so much. Half will be enough. Otherwise, I'll have to go to the bathroom again after finishing it."

"Okay, I'll tell Mother Jiang later." Fu Shangbei responded.

Yan Nuo lowered his head and drank half a cup of milk in one breath, wiped his mouth with a tissue, and lay down in the quilt. Fu Shangbei drank the remaining half and the other cup as well. He walked out with the two empty cups, handed them to Jiang Ma, and repeated what Yan Nuo had just said.

Jiang Ma nodded. "The daily milk intake is fixed. This is the advice from the nanny. The eldest young lady should drink half a cup at noon and half a cup at night. This way, she will get enough nutrition every day."

"Then do as you say." Jiang Ma went downstairs. When Fu Shangbei returned to the bedroom, Yan Nuo was already sleeping soundly in the quilt, with a slight curve at the corner of his mouth.

A faint chuckle escaped from Fu Shangbei's nose. He lifted the quilt and lay down in it, gently hugging the sleeping person.

Yan Nuo moved over naturally, put her hands on the man's waist, touched him, and found a comfortable position to hug him.

Four days later, it was time for the prenatal checkup.
