Chapter 165: Follow Back to the Village

"It seems that you have a good relationship with this girl." Ji Yue said this deliberately.

"Girl?" Su Qingyun stopped and looked back at him doubtfully, "He's a boy."

"I wouldn't say we have a very good relationship, but we are colleagues in the same group after all. His sister injured her foot and he was busy with work in the fields, so I just helped out. It's not a big deal." She explained casually.

Ji Yue's eyes deepened. Why did he always feel something was weird?

"By the way, didn't you ask me last time to go to the fields to check out the sowing situation?" Ji Yue mentioned it casually. "I thought about it and realized that I really need to go and take a look. Blindly making a seed drill without even checking the actual situation on the fields is no different from just talking about it on paper."

"So, I'm still thinking about when to go and see it?"

"Sure." Su Qingyun nodded without thinking too much, "You can go anytime. My mother will definitely be happy to see you."

Her mother often asked her to invite Ji Yue to dinner at home. If she didn't have classes at school every day, her mother would often go to the town to visit Ji's house.

"Then let's do it today." Ji Yue said quickly.

"Huh?" Su Qingyun was stunned for a moment before he could react. "Today? So soon?"

"Is it inconvenient?" Ji Yue lowered his eyes. "I was thinking, since we've mentioned it, it's better to go today than today. It's okay to go and have a look early. Besides, you bought so many things today, I'm afraid it will be difficult for you to take them back, so I'll go with you."

"Is that so? Fine." Su Qingyun nodded. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Then let's not go to Uncle Wang's place today. Otherwise, I'm afraid it will be dark by the time we get back."

"Okay." Ji Yue had no objection, "I'll go back and tell my mom later."

Su Qingyun quickly found all the items on Li Wenjun's list. After paying, she and Ji Yue walked out of the department store. Ji Yue looked at her bicycle parked next to her and said, "Let me give you a ride."

"good."

Ji Yue: "Give me what you have in your hand."

Su Qingyun handed it to him.

Ji Yue divided the packages equally and hung them on both sides of the handlebars of the bicycle.

"It will shake like this, so just let me carry it." Su Qingyun said.

"It's okay, I can keep my balance." Ji Yue said indifferently, "It's heavy to carry, and there's still such a long way to go."

"Okay." Su Qingyun did not insist.

Ji Yue got on the bike and Su Qingyun sat on the back seat.

"Are you seated?"

"alright."

Ji Yue kicked out, and Su Qingyun was prepared and leaned back, her hands tightly grasping the base.

Ji Yue pedaled the bicycle vigorously. He was strong and the bicycle was moving very fast. The wind blew up a corner of his coat, and his voice came, "Qingyun, why don't you hold on to my clothes?"

"Okay." Su Qingyun pursed her lips and carefully grabbed a corner of his clothes.

She smelled the pleasant scent of soapberries in the air. Was this the scent of Ji Yue? Su Qingyun didn't know why, but her face suddenly felt hot.

The town government staff quarters were not far away and they arrived there quickly. Su Qingyun was waiting for Ji Yue outside. She was afraid that if she followed Ji Yue upstairs, Aunt Ji would have to get things for her again.

But what she didn't expect was that five minutes later, Ji Yue came downstairs with several large bags in his hands.

"Why did you take so many things?" Su Qingyun was surprised.

"My mom asked me to bring them." Ji Yue said with a smile, "She had prepared these things a long time ago and wanted me to bring them over someday. Today just happened to be my chance."

"Okay." Su Qingyun said helplessly, "Aunt Ji is just too enthusiastic."

"There's no need for our two families to be polite." Ji Yue's eyes softened a little.

"Then let's go quickly, the sun is about to set." Su Qingyun looked at the time and saw that it was getting late.

"good."

Ji Yue rode his bicycle and rushed to Luoshui Village at a faster speed. Su Qingyun sat behind him, holding the corner of his clothes tightly.

The wind blows across the boy's face and then caresses the girl's flying hair. The scene is so peaceful and beautiful that people can't look away.

"Xu Wen, I'm leaving first." Li Wenjun said to Xu Wen in the experimental field of Luoshui Village.

He put down the farm tools in his hands and wiped the sweat from his face with a towel.

"It's not time to get off work yet, where are you going?" Xu Wen asked curiously.

In order to better integrate into the local community, they all follow the village's working hours. Now it is not time to get off work yet, where is Wenjun going?

"I asked someone to buy some things in town. I'm going to the village entrance to wait and get them so that I can distribute them to everyone while everyone is still working in the fields," Li Wenjun explained.

Xu Wen knew that Li Wenjun wanted to thank the villagers, so he asked, "Who did you ask to bring it to you?"

"Student Su Qingyun." Li Wenju paused, his expression somewhat unnatural.

"She?" Xu Wen's eyes widened instantly, and then he looked at Li Wenjun with a subtle look, "Wenjun, could it be you?"

There were so many people in the village, so why did he ask a little girl to bring him something? He didn't believe it if he said he didn't have any ulterior motives.

"What are you thinking?" Li Wenjun blushed for a moment, but retorted, "I just asked her for help because she has a bicycle, which is more convenient, and she goes to school in town every day."

"Oh—" Xu Wen said in a strange tone with an ambiguous expression, "Is that so?"

"Then what else could it be?" Li Wenjun looked away with a guilty look. "I won't tell you anymore. I'm leaving now. I'm afraid she won't be able to carry all the things she bought."

"Go ahead."

"good."
