Su Qingyun: "..." Then why were you so confident just now!
She looked at the untied rope, then looked at the deep lake, and swallowed silently. Is it too late to get off the boat now?
"Don't move, I'll do it." Ji Yue said to Su Qingyun, his voice still quite steady.
Ji Yue looked at the oar in his hand. He tentatively moved his arms, causing ripples on the water, but the boat didn't move...
Su Qingyun became even more silent.
"How is it? Is it okay, Ji Yue?" Cheng Jialiang's voice rang out. He and Fu Jun swung their arms together, and the boat moved out instantly.
Looking at Ji Yue and his crew's still-unmoving boat, Cheng Jialiang laughed unceremoniously, "Can we leave? It's still not too late for us to switch places."
"No need." Ji Yue said stiffly with a gloomy face.
"Then we'll go first." Cheng Jialiang smiled brightly, and he and Fu Jun swung their arms together. In a few strokes, they rowed a long way, leaving only the aftermath of the ripples at the stern.
"Will it really work?" Su Qingyun asked again.
"Okay." Ji Yue gritted his teeth.
He calmed down and carefully observed the movements of other rowers around him, learning the key points of the movements, the speed and strength of the arm swing. When he was almost there, he tried to move the oars again, and the boat moved slightly.
Ji Yue continued to swing his arms, and the boat finally moved forward slowly. He breathed a sigh of relief almost inaudibly, and Su Qingyun behind him also breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally it moved.
At two o'clock in the afternoon, the sun shone warmly, and a breeze blew, rippling the surface of the lake. Su Qingyun felt the wind coming towards him and closed his eyes comfortably. He had been too busy recently and rarely had such a leisurely moment.
It seemed good to relax like this, and she felt as if her heart had calmed down.
Ji Yue gradually found the knack of rowing, and the movements of his hands became easier. In the interval, he looked back at Su Qingyun and saw that she had her eyes closed, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and a peaceful smile on her face. The corners of his mouth also curled up.
Cheng Jialiang, who was in the front, turned around and looked at Ji Yue's boat moving slowly forward. "Why are these two so slow? What are they dawdling about?"
"Why do you care about other people's business?" Fu Jun was speechless and rolled his eyes.
"I'm curious." Cheng Jialiang said, "Aren't you curious about what Ji Yue means to that classmate Su?"
"I'm not curious."
Fu Jun's expression didn't change much. Anyone with a discerning eye could see that Ji Yue treated classmate Su differently. Why were the two of them joining in the fun and disturbing others?
"No, eh, wait." Cheng Jialiang wanted to say something, but suddenly stopped and his eyes fell on a ship in front.
"Look who that is?" Cheng Jialiang whispered excitedly.
Fu Jun followed his gaze and saw two girls on a boat in front. They were rowing in beautiful long skirts. They were frail, with slender arms. They didn't row with much strength, and the boat was moving slowly.
"Sun Yingying, why is she here?" Fu Jun said with some surprise.
"Sun Yingying is here, Ji Yue is here too, and there's also a classmate named Su. This is going to be interesting." Cheng Jialiang's tone was that of someone who was just looking for fun.
Fu Jun frowned and said nothing.
Sun Yingying, who was standing in front of him, seemed to sense something and suddenly turned around, just in time to meet Cheng Jialiang's gaze. Her eyes widened in surprise and she asked, "Cheng Jialiang, why are you here? And Fu Jun? Are you guys here to go boating too?"
Looking at the two people, she suddenly thought of something and her eyes wandered behind them again, but she didn't see the person she wanted to see. She lowered her eyes in disappointment.
"Who are you looking for? Sun Yingying." Cheng Jialiang smirked, "Are you looking for Ji Yue?"
"I...I didn't." Sun Yingying blushed suddenly and stammered.
"He's behind." Cheng Jialiang smiled and pointed behind him, his eyes full of interest in watching the fun.
Fu Jun sighed, what a coincidence.
Sun Yingying was stunned and looked behind her. She soon found Ji Yue's figure. Before she could smile, she saw the girl behind him.
The girl in a white floral shirt and indigo pants had a warm smile on her face. She sat next to Ji Yue in a white shirt and black pants, and they matched well with each other inexplicably. The two of them were close to each other, obviously having a close relationship. They had smiles on their faces and were whispering something.
This scene was extremely glaring to Sun Yingying. Her face darkened instantly. Who was this girl? Why did she look so close to Ji Yue?
