There was only one window, and the inside of it was covered with newspaper, so I couldn't see what was inside the house at all.
The window was not high, so Su Qingyun tried pushing and pulling it, but as expected, the window did not move at all.
She and Ji Yue observed that the broken window had no bolt at all. It was nailed shut from the outside, probably to prevent people inside from escaping through the window.
"How do we do it?" Su Qingyun spoke so softly that only his lips could be heard.
The nails were nailed in tightly. How could they possibly open the window with their bare hands?
Ji Yue was not in a hurry at all. He took something out of his pocket. When Su Qingyun saw it clearly, his eyes widened instantly.
"Why do you have this on you?" she asked in surprise.
Ji Yue actually pulled out a knife from his pocket. Weren't their luggage at the station? Where did this knife come from? No, why did Ji Yue bring a knife?
"I took it just now because I was afraid something might happen." Ji Yue explained.
The trip was so long, and he was afraid of encountering any accidents on the road, so he brought a small knife in his bag. Unexpectedly, it really came in handy.
Su Qingyun was stunned for a moment before realizing that the inspection of knives was not so strict in this era, and this was only a small knife.
"Then hurry up and don't waste time." Su Qingyun urged.
Ji Yue took a knife and started to pry the nails on the window, while Su Qingyun stood aside and watched Lao Wu's movements.
