Chapter 219 Returning to the Old Home

"Let's go and take a look." Xia Rong said.

"Okay." Qin Ying couldn't hold back her longing and wanted to go and see if her former home was still the same as she remembered.

The Qin family's house is about a hundred meters ahead, just around the corner.

Arriving at the door of her house, Qin Ying saw the scene in front of her and her eyes widened in disbelief. "How could this happen?"

What did she see? The same little white building, with a small garden behind a fence, lush flowers and plants swaying in the breeze, bringing bursts of fragrance, and everywhere was spotless.

How could this home be exactly the same as the one she remembered? It was as if time had stopped here for almost twenty years, yet this house still had a fresh breath of life, as if the next second, the gentle mother in her memory would walk out of the house and whisper, "Are you back?"

"Let's go in and take a look." Xia Rong said. She actually took out a key from her bag and opened the door directly.

The three of them entered the house, and Qin Ying was stunned after seeing the furnishings inside.

"How is it? Is it exactly the same as I remember? Has nothing changed?" Xia Rong asked softly.

"Yes, exactly the same." Qin Ying did not move his eyes away at all.

This statement was not an exaggeration at all. The interior of the house looked exactly the same as when she left home. The bookcases, tables, chairs, and decorative ornaments were all covered with a layer of white cloth. Even the photos of her and her parents when she was young were still hanging on the wall.

Nothing has changed. Qin Ying looked at all this and suddenly felt a sense of being torn apart by time and space.

Xia Rong's eyes were filled with relief. "That's good, that's good."

Over the years, Qin Ying is not the only one who misses the people and things in this house;

She often thinks of the time she spent with her good friend. Whenever this time comes, she will come here to take a look, tend to the flowers and plants, and clean the house. She wants to keep everything here clean so that when her good friend comes back, everything will be the same as before and nothing will have changed.

"Thank you, Aunt Rong, thank you." Qin Ying's nose felt sore and she almost cried. The reason why this house could be maintained like this, with even the furniture spotless, was without a trace of dirt. It was all because of Aunt Rong's help in taking care of it.

"It's just a piece of cake, it's not worth thanking me for." Xia Rong wiped her tears lovingly.

Even though Yingzi is a mother now, in Xia Rong's heart, she is still that young girl, and she really treats her as her daughter.

Qin Ying stared at every corner of the house, as if she wanted to engrave every detail deeply into her mind.

Neither Su Qingyun nor Xia Rong disturbed this warm moment, but at this moment, the door that was originally closed was pushed open again, and a voice broke the tranquility at the moment.

"Who are you?" The middle-aged man who came in stood straight and walked with great vigor. Even in middle age, he was still handsome and his eyes were like an eagle's.

He looked at the two unfamiliar figures in front of him and asked sternly, "Who allowed you to enter this house?"

The man glanced at Xia Rong beside him and was stunned for a moment, "Aunt Rong, you're here? Why did you bring outsiders into the Qin family?"

Although the tone was a little softer, one could still hear the hidden blame in it.

He knew that she often came to help clean the house, so he was not surprised that Xia Rong was here, but who were these other two people?

Xia Rong's face turned cold. "Don't call me that. I have nothing to do with you."

"Also, Lu Cheng, you are the only outsider in this room right now."

The man was the one they had just been talking about, Lu Cheng. He was tall and mighty, and had held a high position of power over the years. He exuded an imposing aura, and his eyes were sharp as he looked at the backs of Qin Ying and the other person.

"What do you mean?" Lu Cheng frowned, not understanding what Xia Rong meant.

Xia Rong looked at Qin Ying.

Qin Ying's body froze when she heard the voice. Even though she hadn't seen him for many years, she still recognized Lu Cheng's voice. Her body trembled slightly, and her eyes couldn't help but reveal hatred.

She was afraid to turn around, fearing that once she saw his face she would rush up and strangle him to death.

Lu Cheng noticed something was wrong. He stared at Qin Ying and said, "Turn around."

Qin Ying didn't move, but Su Qingyun beside her turned around and met Lu Cheng's eyes.

Lu Cheng's pupils shrank, his body shook violently, and a name blurted out, "Yingzi?"

There was no expression on Su Qingyun's face. Was she just like Grandma Rong, mistaking her for her mother?
