Chapter 22 Return to School

After the lively commendation meeting, the thing Su Qingyun had been looking forward to the most finally came. Her father was finally going to take her to school.

The school she attended before was the only middle school in the town. At this moment, the principal of the town middle school looked at Su Aimin and his daughter in embarrassment.

"Hey parent, aren't you making it difficult for me? You voluntarily dropped out of school, and now you want to go back. How can you just come and go as you please?"

He was deeply impressed by Su Qingyun. Although she was a rural student, she was spoiled and had a more pretentious temper than city girls. Many teachers had reported this problem to her.

When she first proposed to drop out of school, the teachers were secretly happy for a while. Why is she going back to school now?

"I know, Principal." Su Aimin said with a smile, "Our child dropped out of school due to health problems. Now that she's recovered, she naturally wants to go back to school. Principal, you can't reject a student who is so determined to learn, right?"

Dedicated to study? The principal was amused by these words. At first, many teachers had complained that this student was not in good condition in class and his grades were not satisfactory. How could he become so dedicated to study after being sick?

"I know that my previous attitude towards studying was wrong. I will definitely correct it in the future." Su Qingyun lowered his head and promised, with a very humble attitude.

The principal looked at the girl with her head down, her eyelashes trembling, obviously nervous. He sighed and said that if the student really wanted to come back to school, they would not stop her.

"Okay, she can come back to school, but..." the principal changed the subject, "She'll have to start all over again from the freshman year. After missing so much class, she definitely won't be able to keep up with the sophomore year."

Su Qingyun was anxious when he heard this, "Principal, I can do it. I can keep up with the progress of the second year of high school."

"You can't just say yes." The principal shook his head.

Su Qingyun thought for a moment, pursed his lips and said, "Principal, can you give me a copy of the high school exam paper? I can prove it."

The principal was a little surprised, but still agreed to her request. Young people never give up until they reach their goal.

He found a copy of the opening exam paper for the second year of high school, which only had two subjects: Chinese and mathematics.

Su Qingyun glanced casually and started writing, while Su Aimin watched nervously from the side.

She was very quick, writing down each question without much thought. The principal frowned slightly. This attitude...

Even if you don't know how, you can't just write randomly, right?

In less than forty minutes, Su Qingyun put down his pen and did not write his Chinese composition.

"Take a look."

The principal had given up hope. He took the test paper, glanced at it casually, then his gaze stopped. He then suddenly sat up straight, put on his glasses, and looked at it carefully.

Su Aimin was made even more nervous by his attitude, even more nervous than when he was speaking at the commendation meeting. He asked cautiously, "Principal, is there something wrong?"

"Don't talk yet!" the principal interrupted him. He didn't have time to listen to him now.

Su Qingyun pulled her father's sleeve and blinked gently, "Dad, believe me, it's okay."

Su Aimin had no choice but to wait patiently.

After a while, the principal put down the test paper, breathed a sigh of relief, and looked at Su Qingyun with excited and eager eyes.

"Principal, can I start my second year of high school now?" Su Qingyun smiled and asked deliberately.

"Yes, of course!" the principal said repeatedly.

The two papers were written with rigorous sentences and tight logic, and he couldn't find a single mistake! This girl was actually a pearl hidden in the dust! She was a genius!

Her previous results might have been because she simply didn't put enough effort into it. That's what geniuses are like; once they get serious, no one can compare to them.

It’s a pity that there is no college entrance examination now, and we can only go to university through recommendations from workers, peasants and soldiers.

Su Aimin was still a little confused, "Principal, what's the matter with Yunyun?"

"Very good, very good!" the principal praised emphatically. "Welcome her back to school!"

Su Aimin breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Yunyun studying so hard recently, he was afraid that her efforts would be in vain.

"Mr. Su, you have a very outstanding daughter." The principal's eyes were full of sighs and regrets for the genius.

Su Qingyun met his gaze and understood what he meant. She smiled meaningfully, "Principal, things are unpredictable. Tomorrow's sun will be different from today's, let alone tomorrow's sky."

The principal was stunned for a moment, then suddenly laughed and said, "You're right! No one knows what will happen tomorrow."

Su Aimin looked at the two of them, bewildered. What kind of riddle was this? Regardless, Yunyun's return to school was the most important thing.

After returning home, Su Aimin couldn't wait to report the good news to his whole family.

Qin Ying happily hugged her daughter and praised her repeatedly.

"The principal even praised Yunyun." Su Aimin looked proud.

Wu Guixiang smiled happily, "I knew our Jiabao could do it."

"Of course. Yunyun can even handle a tractor, so what's the big deal about studying?" Su Congwu is now convinced of his sister.

He was the only one in the family who knew how difficult it was to improve the tractor. It was no exaggeration to say that his sister was a genius.

Why didn't I notice it before? Su Congwu thought for a while and put the blame on Lin Jianfeng. It was all his fault. He led Yunyun astray!

"Yunyun's schooling is settled, but as for joining the army, when does she have to report to the factory?" Wu Guixiang asked.

"It's said it will take a few days."

Wu Guixiang thought for a moment and said, "Then let Congjun and the He family's daughter settle their marriage first. This will also resolve one issue, and Congjun won't be worried when he goes to work."

The girl from the He family is the one who is engaged to Su Congjun.

"Mom is right, it's time to settle down." Li Xiu Lian nodded, she also had the same idea.

"That's gotta be a good one."

"I'm fine with anything." Su Congjun felt a little embarrassed as the whole family was discussing his marriage together.

Su Qingyun laughed at the blush on her elder brother's dark skin. How could her elder brother be so innocent?

Zhang Xinlan pondered for a moment. If Congwen got engaged before going to work in the army, then he would be joining the army soon...

"His father, why don't we arrange something for Congwen, and let him get married before he joins the army." She couldn't stop Congwen from joining the army, but no one would object to finding a wife for him, right?

"Mom, could you please stop worrying about me?" Su Congwen said helplessly, "I'm going to the army soon, and I might not be back for several years. If I get engaged now, wouldn't that delay the girl's marriage?"

"Don't make trouble!" Su Aidang frowned and blocked the words Zhang Xinlan was about to say.

"Okay, okay, Congwen is a man with his own ideas, don't worry about it!" Su Dalin frowned. Now, Su Congwen, who was determined to join the army, was his treasure.

After Su Dalin spoke, Zhang Xinlan dared not say anything more. She was just resentful in her heart. The job was his, and he also got the wife. He really had all the good things.
