Chapter 29 Secretly Calculating

The two sat opposite each other, neither of them spoke. In this noisy cafeteria, the atmosphere between them was eerily quiet. Looking at Su Qingyun eating leisurely, Xia Qiu finally couldn't help it.

"What do you want to do?" She didn't believe that she was just sitting here to eat.

"What?" Su Qingyun was puzzled.

Xia Qiu's delicate brows furrowed, and her eyes widened. "I know we didn't get along because of Lin Jianfeng before, but you don't have to hold a grudge until now, right? I'm also a victim deceived by him. The worst that can happen is that I apologize to you."

"Lin Jianfeng?" Su Qingyun almost forgot the name. "We're eating, why are you mentioning him? It's bad luck."

The very name made her sick.

Seeing her disgusted look, Xia Qiu opened her mouth and stammered in silence. Before, she thought that Su Qingyun could jump into the river for Lin Jianfeng, and she still couldn't let him go in her heart, but now it seems that Su Qingyun's attitude towards Lin Jianfeng is as if he has abandoned him.

However, this was all Lin Jianfeng's fault. Xia Qiu felt sick whenever she thought that she had once liked such a man.

She nodded as well, muttering, "It's really unlucky."

A smile flashed in Su Qingyun's eyes. This was Xia Qiu's personality. She wanted the one she loved to live and wanted the one she hated to die. She was a girl who dared to love and hate. In this era, she was very special and cute.

With a common target of dislike, the atmosphere between the two of them inexplicably eased a little.

Su Qingyun put down her chopsticks after eating for a while. The portions in the cafeteria were really generous. In order not to waste food, she finished a whole plate of rice.

"Why don't you eat this?" Xia Qiu glanced and saw that there were still a few slices of meat on her plate.

"I don't eat fatty meat." Su Qingyun really couldn't accept fatty meat.

Xia Qiu looked at her like she was stupid. "How could anyone not like meat these days?" How on earth had Su Qingyun grown up?

She only ordered two vegetarian dishes. Although the Xia family was well off, Xia Qiu had two older brothers, so they naturally wouldn't pamper her too much. It was enough for her to have meat dishes twice a week.

"Do you want to eat it?" Su Qingyun asked hesitantly, then denied it, "Forget it, I've eaten it." It's not good anyway.

"What's the big deal?" Xia Qiu rolled her eyes. This was a dish, not her leftovers.

She took her plate without any hesitation, picked up the pieces of meat on the plate, and put them into her mouth. The rich fat filled her mouth with the aroma of meat, and Xia Qiu squinted her eyes in satisfaction.

Su Qingyun looked at her satisfied expression and smiled. She finally understood why so many people like to watch food broadcasts. Watching people eating delicious food will improve your own appetite.

Friendship between girls might just come and go so quickly and strangely. After Xia Qiu ate a few slices of her meat, she said awkwardly, "Su Qingyun, actually... you're not a bad person. How about we shake hands and make peace?"

Su Qingyun blinked, "Is there any conflict between us?"

Xia Qiu was stunned for a moment. Strictly speaking, there was really no conflict between them except Lin Jianfeng. It was just some ignorant anger. After figuring this out, she also laughed.

"Would you like to go home together after school?" The journey might not be so difficult if there was someone to accompany you.

Xia Qiu nodded happily.

After school, the two girls went home together, chatting and laughing all the way until they got home quickly. Xia Qiu waved to her and said, "See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

Seeing his daughter come back, Su Aimin quickly asked, "How was your first day of class?"

Su Qingyun was a little helpless, "Dad, this is my first day of school this semester, not my first day of school in my life."

"I'm just worried that you won't be able to adapt." Su Aimin thought that Yunyun dropped out of school and then went back to school again, and there would always be people talking about her, so he felt a little worried.

"By the way, why did I see you coming back with that girl from the Xia family?" Didn't that girl always have a problem with Yunyun? When did their relationship become better?

"Yeah, we're in the same class." Su Qingyun pushed away his worried father who was asking questions, "Dad, I still have homework to do."

"Okay, okay." Su Aimin shut up when he heard that.

"Then hurry up and make it. We'll have dinner later. We'll have dumplings at home tonight, with your favorite pork and cabbage filling. Your grandma made them especially for us."

Qin Ying came over and asked her, "Yunyun, are there any questions you don't understand? Mom will help you." She was also a graduate of a decent high school, so tutoring Su Qingyun shouldn't be a problem. Since her daughter wanted to study hard, she naturally had to help.

"No need, Mom, I can do it myself." Su Qingyun tilted her little face up and smiled obediently.

"That's good."

"Last time, the principal of that town's middle school said that Yunyun was very outstanding and smart." Su Aimin added.

Qin Ying glanced at him sideways and said proudly, "My daughter will naturally look like me."

So it was all her credit? Su Aimin winked at Su Qingyun cautiously, but didn't dare to refute her at all.

After dinner in the evening, Su Qingyun waved to her father, and the father and daughter shrank aside and whispered.

Su Qingyun asked her father: "Dad, how much do you think it will cost to buy a bicycle?"

Su Aimin thought for a moment and said, "The prices of bicycles vary from brand to brand, but they're all around 150 yuan. But money isn't the most important thing. The hardest thing to get is industrial coupons. Without them, money is useless."

Although Su Aimin only sold some mountain products and poultry, he had a thorough understanding of the prices of all kinds of commodities. He had been wondering if there was a chance to make a big deal.

He looked at his daughter and asked, "Why are you asking this?" Yunyun didn't want a bicycle, did she? This was a bit troublesome.
