After the instructions were given from above, the people below naturally worked actively. It didn't take long before the formalities for the house at No. 12 Oak Alley that Su Qingyun and his family had purchased were completed. The freshly issued title deed was also delivered to them, and the payment promised to Mrs. Mo was also paid. So far, their family had officially settled down in Beijing.
They left the guesthouse and moved into the new house. Looking at the spacious, bright, tidy and clean new house, the whole family breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that everything was finally settled.
On the day of moving, Su Qingyun brought back a letter from home. The letter was sent directly to her school. The entire letter was written in Wu Guixiang's tone. The handwriting was indeed crooked, like that of a beginner. Su Qingyun estimated that the handwriting should have been written by her grandfather. Calculating the time, the letter was sent out almost not long after they set off.
"What a coincidence." Su Aimin smiled. "I just wrote back to my mother and the others with our current address. I want them to know where we are so they know where we are if they come in the future."
"It's such a big deal, I should tell my family, but..." Qin Ying paused, looking over the house, a little hesitant, "Should we tell them that we bought the house?"
"How is that possible?" Su Aimin denied it without even thinking about it. "Just say it's a rented house. Don't write any specific details. Just tell me the address." Anyway, his parents didn't know much about the situation in Beijing, so he could just fool them for now and talk about it when they really come.
"I think so too." Qin Ying nodded in agreement. No one in the family was stupid. You have to know that they bought a house in Beijing, so there would probably be a lot of problems.
Seeing that his parents had reached an agreement, Su Qingyun picked up his pen and wrote a reply, telling them about their recent situation in the capital and attaching the address at the end. That was pretty much it.
As the letter was sent out, Su Qingyun and his classmates' university life was about to get back on track, and the first thing to come was the opening ceremony.
"Are you asking me to speak on behalf of the freshmen?" Su Qingyun looked at Zhang Sida who was sitting in front of her and confirmed again.
"Yes." Zhang Sida smiled. "It's you. The principal specifically mentioned this during the meeting today."
"Just think about it for a bit and write two pages of manuscripts, explaining your study methods and experiences. It's not difficult." Zhang Sida said with a relaxed tone. He smiled, "You've seen such grand occasions before. This will be a piece of cake for you."
"Okay, professor, I'll go back and think about it." Su Qingyun could only agree.
"Yeah." Zhang Sida watched her leave with satisfaction. What a good student she was. Fortunately she didn't fly away.
Su Qingyun returned to the dormitory, thought about it, took a notebook and began to write the speech.
"An An, the classes in your College of Arts look really interesting. Unlike our College of Education, there are too many classes and they don't seem very interesting."
"We are in different majors. Look at Jingjing. They have more classes at the School of Architecture. It gives me a headache just looking at them."
The three girls from Room 204 came in talking and laughing. When they saw Su Qingyun writing something in the dormitory, they fell silent for some unknown reason.
The three of them looked at her from behind and exchanged glances. Their roommate was pretty, and her clothes and appearance showed that her family was well-off. She also studied an unpopular major. She didn't socialize much with them. She was not a local but didn't live in the dormitory every day. Although they didn't know why, she just felt mysterious.
"Qingyun, what are you writing? Class hasn't started yet, has it?" Yao Anan broke the silence and asked, trying to get closer.
"Just write something casually." Su Qingyun smiled.
Li Jing curled her lips. She really couldn't stand such pretentious people.
"We haven't even started class yet, and you're already so serious! It seems your materials science major is quite difficult," she said deliberately. "But as the saying goes, diligence makes up for clumsiness, and the early bird catches the worm. It's good to study more."
Su Qingyun glanced at her and nodded in agreement, "It's indeed quite difficult."
“…”
Hearing that she agreed with what she said, Li Jing felt like she had punched cotton. Could it be that this person really couldn't understand the hidden meaning of her words?
She wanted to say something, but Yao Anan and Fei Shulan pulled her sleeves, signaling her to stop, so she had to give up.
While Su Qingyun was writing, the three of them spoke in lower voices, whispering to each other about something. Su Qingyun did not participate. After writing a few points, she put down her pen, took her things and went to wash up.
As soon as she left, Li Jing muttered, "What a weird person."
"Actually, I think she's pretty good. At least she's not like the people in the next dorm," said Fei Shulan.
"Indeed." Yao Anan couldn't help but smile, "There was another quarrel in the dormitory next door today."
"Why again?" Li Jing instantly became interested.
The girls in their dormitory are all about the same age, have common topics, and generally get along harmoniously. But it's different in the dormitory next door. The four people in the dormitory next door have a big age gap and come from all over the world. They have only been there for a few days and have already had several frictions.
"That girl from the next dorm, He Hua, is already married and has a child? She brought her child to the dormitory today."
"What? She even dared to bring the child to school?"
"Of course not. It's more than that. The child is young and needs to take a nap at noon. Everyone in their dormitory went out shopping, leaving only He Hua and her son. She let her son sleep in her roommate's bed. When the roommate came back, the two were still fast asleep. This made them very angry. Tell me, how could this not be noisy? Her roommate even made a fuss and asked her to move out."
"Oh my God, I would be disgusted to death if it were me." Li Jing felt uncomfortable all over just thinking about it.
