Chapter 41 Provincial Newspaper Commendation

After seeing off the guests, Qi Heng finally had some free time to do his own thing. He took an eraser and was about to erase what Su Qingyun had written on the notebook. The next second, his hand holding the eraser froze in mid-air.

What's written on it...

Qi Heng's mouth dropped open, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. This, this, this... was this something Qingyun had written? She'd actually written out the analysis and processing methods for this data, clearly and easily understood.

Qi Heng immediately substituted the data into the calculation. Ten minutes later, he wiped his face shivering. It was right. The method written by Qingyun was correct!

He recalled that it only took a few minutes from the time Su Qingyun got the notebook to the time he started writing, and yet he was able to write such a complete and clear analysis method. Qi Heng took a breath of cold air. What a terrifying mathematical talent!

"What's wrong?" Qi Chu came out of the room and saw his son standing there with his mouth open, not moving.

"Dad, take a look at this." Qi Heng swallowed and handed the notebook to his father.

What? Qi Chu took the notebook in confusion, "Isn't this the data you brought back? What's wrong? This..."

Qi Chu's voice fell silent the moment he saw the contents of the notebook. He was always steady and rarely lost his composure. He pushed his glasses up, trying to see more clearly.

"Are these all written by Qingyun?" Qi Chu took a long time to find his voice, and was quite unbelieving.

"Yes." Qi Heng also found it incredible.

The father and son looked at each other and saw the amazement in each other's eyes.

Qi Heng thought for a moment and stood up. "I have to hurry to the research institute and show it to Yan Jun."

"Well, go ahead."

Qi Heng quickly rushed to the research institute and found Yan Jun, who was working on an experiment and was pulled out. He asked curiously, "What's wrong? Why are you so anxious?"

"Take a look." Qi Heng handed over the notebook, "The data analysis has been done."

"So fast?" Yan Jun was surprised. "Are you kidding? I gave it to you this morning, and you've already finished it in just a few hours? I'm telling you, Qi Heng, this can't be sloppy."

"Look first before you speak."

Yan Jun pursed his lips and opened the notebook. Gradually, his nonchalant expression became serious, his brows furrowed tighter and tighter, but the light in his eyes became brighter.

At the end, he smiled in amazement, "You're incredible, Qi Heng! You actually managed to do it in such a short time? It seems I underestimated you."

"You didn't underestimate me." Qi Heng looked up at the sky, his tone dark, "Can't you see that this isn't my handwriting?"

"You mean..."

"Well, I didn't do this data analysis." Although Qi Heng didn't want to admit that he was not as good as a high school sophomore, he was not willing to take credit for someone else's work.

"Who is that?" Yan Jun was stunned.

"You may not believe it when I tell you this. Actually, I don't quite believe it myself." Qi Heng looked at him seriously and said, "This data analysis was done by a sixteen-year-old sophomore in high school."

"And it only took her about ten minutes." Qi Heng added.

Yan Jun was silent for a moment, then reached out and touched his forehead, muttering, "You don't have a fever, so why are you talking nonsense?"

"Who told you nonsense?" Qi Heng glared at him, "Forget it if you don't believe it."

"Are you serious?" Yan Jun realized that Qi Heng was not joking and his face changed.

"Of course I'm serious. Do you think I'm so free?" Qi Heng rolled his eyes.

"Where is she? Where is she now?" Yan Jun reacted and asked anxiously. Such talents must come to their research institute.

"Don't think about it. She's gone. She should be getting on the train soon." Qi Heng saw what he was thinking. "She's still in high school. Why are you so anxious?"

"A girl?" Yan Jun was surprised again.

"What? Do you look down on girls?" Qi Heng squinted at him.

"Of course not. You just said she got on the train? Isn't she from here?"

"No, he is a young expert invited by our Department of Agriculture." Qi Heng told him what happened in detail. Yan Jun's eyes brightened the more he listened.

He thought for a moment and said, "Well, give me her address. I want to write her a letter." After writing letters or something like that, it becomes easier to talk to people after you get to know them well.

"What address do you want? Don't bother them." Qi Heng said vigilantly.

"What do you mean by harassment? I'm just trying to have a friendly discussion with someone." Yan Jun was furious when he heard this. "Give it to me now, or I'll go to your Agriculture Department and ask about it myself."

"Okay, okay, I'm really scared of you. Let me make it clear first, be more polite and don't scare me."

Qi Heng was so annoyed by him that he had no choice but to give him the address of Luoshui Village.

"I understand everything." Yan Jun patted his chest and assured.

Over there, the protagonist Su Qingyun and her father were still waiting for the train at the train station. She looked at the newspaper stand nearby and thought about it. It seemed that the commendation that Director Wang mentioned last time was today.

"Hello, I want a copy of today's provincial newspaper." Su Qingyun said.

"Okay." The boss handed her a newspaper.

Su Aimin looked at his daughter in confusion, "Why buy a newspaper?"

"Didn't I say that?" Su Qingyun blinked.

"What?"

Su Qingyun explained, "Director Wang from the Agriculture Department said last time that he would publish a commendation for my invention of the harvester in the provincial newspaper. I forgot to tell you."

"My goodness, you even forgot this!" Su Aimin was shocked and snatched the newspaper from her hand. "Look, girl, you can remember the numbers on a banknote clearly after just one glance, how could you forget such a big thing!"
