Chapter 77: Hearing the News

"What's wrong with this kid today?" Su Aimin murmured in surprise. Seeing Li Xiulian and her husband coming out of the house, he smiled and said, "Brother and sister-in-law, you come and pick one too."

Inside the room, Qin Ying and her daughter sat by the bed.

"What are you so anxious about, kid?" Qin Ying wondered, reaching out to stroke her daughter's wet hair. "Why are you sweating so much?"

"Mom, listen to me and tell you something." Su Qingyun looked at her mother seriously, "Don't get too excited."

"What's the matter?" Qin Ying was even more confused. What did Yunyun want to say in such a mysterious way?

"Didn't I go to my classmate's house for dinner today?"

"Well, then?"

Su Qingyun paused and organized his sentences. "My classmate's parents knew my grandparents, and they also knew you. His mother was a former student of my grandma, her name was He Qiu, and his father was Ji Yu. Mom, do you remember him?"

Qin Ying didn't say anything, and there was no fluctuation in his expression, but his eyes were confused and dazed.

"Yunyun, what did you say?"

Su Qingyun understood that her mother had not yet reacted.

"Aunt He Qiu and Uncle Ji Yu live in town. They said they'd come to see you in a few days. They also have news about your grandparents."

Qin Ying's eyes were dull and her face was full of helplessness. Su Qingyun waited patiently for her mother to digest the news.

After an unknown amount of time, Qin Yingcai suddenly seemed to react. She suddenly grabbed Su Qingyun's wrist, her voice trembling and difficult, and she said in disbelief: "Yunyun, you...what did you just say? There is news about your grandparents? How could it be? How could it be?"

It is normal for people to have the first reaction after being extremely surprised or happy to be negative.

Su Qingyun held her mother's hand and spoke word by word, "Grandma and Grandpa are now on the farm in New Province. Although life is hard, they are all safe."

She took out a note with an address from her pocket and handed it to Qin Ying. "This is the specific address of grandma and grandpa. Mom, we can contact them now."

Qin Ying looked at the note and tears instantly flowed down her face. She took it with trembling hands, and could hardly hold the light note.

Tears blurred her vision, and she wiped them away hastily, her eyes wide open as if she wanted to take every word written above to heart.

"Sister Qiuqiu, Brother Yu, it's them! It's actually them!" Qin Ying covered her mouth, her voice hoarse.

It took her so many years to get this short address. Qin Ying was extremely panicked in countless dreams at night. In the past few years since she lost contact with her parents, she could only hypnotize herself not to think about any terrible guesses and brainwash herself that they would be fine. However, the worry that she had never let go of in her heart could not be deceived.

But at this moment, the heart that had been hanging in the balance for many years finally relaxed, and all the suppressed emotions burst out. Qin Ying could hardly sit still, and she squatted on the ground with her whole body limp, crying loudly, the sound of her outburst was almost heartbreaking.

Su Qingyun remained silent, then squatted down and kept patting her mother's back to comfort her. If she suppressed her emotions for too long, she would get sick, so it would be better to cry.

Qin Ying cried so sadly that Su Qingyun couldn't help but shed tears.

"What's wrong? Wife!" As soon as he reached the door, he heard Qin Ying's heart-wrenching cry, and Su Aimin pushed the door in anxiously.

As soon as he entered the door, Qin Ying calmed down a little. This was still at home. If her family saw it and smelled it, she didn't know how to respond.

"Close the door." Qin Ying choked and tried to calm down.

Su Aimin closed the door casually and looked at the mother and daughter with the same tearful faces. He asked nervously, "What happened?"

"Could it be that I was away for a few days and you two, mother and daughter, missed me so much that you're so happy to see me back?" Su Aimin deliberately interjected.

"Go to hell!" Qin Ying glared at him with tears still on her face.

It's good that she smiled. Su Aimin felt relieved. In all these years of marriage, he had never seen his wife cry like this.

"Yunyun, what exactly happened?" he asked Su Qingyun.

Su Qingyun smiled and told her father the good news, "Mom is really happy. We have news about grandma and grandpa."

"Really?" Su Aimin was surprised, then joy crept onto his face. "Great! Where are they?"

He was no less happy than Qin Ying. As Qin Ying's husband who had slept with her for more than ten years, Su Aimin understood her worries very well. Although he had no chance to meet his father-in-law and mother-in-law until now, it did not prevent him from being happy for Qin Ying. Now, she could finally put her worries aside.

Qin Ying handed over the note, "Here it is."

Su Aimin took a look and was stunned for a moment, "New Province? So far?"

"What does it matter?" Qin Ying's eyes welled up with tears again. "I am lucky to know that they are safe. I dare not ask for more."

"That's right." Su Aimin sighed. He gently wiped the tears from Qin Ying's face and said in the softest voice he had ever used, "Don't cry. Your parents must have been thinking about you all these years. We should get in touch with them as soon as possible."

"Yes, yes, yes. I'll write a letter right away." Qin Ying finally calmed down. She thought about what she needed to do. "I still need to send some things over. I need money and notes. It's cold over there, so I'll send some thick cotton clothes."

"Take your time, don't panic." Su Aimin said gently.

"Yeah, I know." Qin Ying said, "I'm just too happy."

Su Aimin suddenly realized something, "Oh, that's not right. Where did this address come from?"

Su Qingyun raised his hand silently, "I'm from here."
