Chapter 79: Exchange of Information

In a remote farm primary school in New Zealand, the bell had just rung and students filed out. Teachers, holding books, also walked out of the classroom, chatting and laughing. A white-haired old man was grading papers in the office. He watched the teachers enter the office and greeted them with a smile.

"Teacher Wang, you haven't left yet?" The math teacher who taught the same class as the old man said with a smile.

The old man pointed to the homework book in front of him and said, "I'll finish correcting this little homework and then go back."

"You are the first one to come and the last one to leave every day. You are really responsible to the students."

"As a teacher, of course I have to worry more. These students are still young, and we must lay a solid foundation." Wang Biyun said, adjusting his reading glasses.

Seeing that her eyes seemed to be a little uncomfortable, the math teacher advised: "If your eyes are uncomfortable, go home early today. It's not good if your eyes are damaged by staying up all night."

Wang Biyun blinked her sore eyes. She glanced at the handwriting on the notebook and saw a faint double image. She thought for a moment and said, "Okay, then I'll go home today and come back early tomorrow to correct the remaining homework."

"That's right." The math teacher smiled with relief.

Seeing Wang Biyun walk out of the office, another teacher in the office said to the math teacher, "Tell me, how could such a good teacher end up teaching here? If Teacher Wang were still in university, I wonder how many talents he could have trained for the country."

"Who says it's not true? It's not just Teacher Wang, Teacher Wang's lover is an old hero who retired from the battlefield many years ago. Now he is doing farm work in our remote village. It's really fate."

The two looked at each other and sighed in unison. Bad luck and misfortune, this sentence might be referring to Teacher Wang and his wife?

Wang Biyun slowly walked towards home. She and her lover Qin Weiguo lived in the house allocated to them by the farm. Taking their status and age into consideration, the house was not big, but it was big enough for them to live in.

It was evening, the afterglow was setting, orange light enveloped the earth, and curls of smoke rose from every household. She walked slowly, quietly enjoying the rare leisure time of the day.

When Wang Biyun slowly walked home, the postman who had been waiting at the door for a long time breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Ms. Wang, you are finally back. I have a letter and a package for you today. Please take them."

"A letter?" Wang Biyun's eyes widened. "Where did it come from?"

"From Eastern Province." The postman took a look and said, "Oh, yes, there's also a remittance slip."

Eastern Province? Wang Biyun frowned in surprise. Didn't Xiaoqiu and the others just send something over? How come there's something else? Why is there a remittance slip?

"Okay, thank you." Wang Biyun took the letter and remittance slip, but before she could look at them, two huge packages were placed in front of her.

She tried to lift it, but it was a little heavy.

The postman said, "Let me take it in for you."

"Thank you very much." Wang Biyun said gratefully.

"It's okay!" The postman put the package at her house before leaving.

Wang Biyun looked at the two huge packages. She put the letter on the table beside her, untied the straps of the package, and looked through the contents.

She was stunned when she saw it. Why were there so many things?

Cotton-padded clothes, cotton shoes, malted milk, and various daily necessities are all available. Is this like moving the department store here?

Why did Xiaoqiu and the others send so many things? Didn't she live there? Wang Biyun was puzzled as she looked through the things, until she touched a thin photo, which was upside down. She turned it over in confusion.

At first glance, Wang Biyun's pupils trembled and her body suddenly stiffened. She even took off her reading glasses with trembling hands and put them on again, unable to believe what she saw.

This is……

Wang Biyun covered her mouth and looked at the three people in the black and white photo. There was a man who looked honest and simple, a woman who looked not young but still beautiful and gentle, and between them stood a beautiful and charming girl.

All three of them had bright smiles on their faces, and these smiles seemed to have substance, penetrating the photo and looking directly at her.

Wang Biyun could hardly stand. She slowly sat down, holding onto the table, and her trembling fingers stroked the face of the woman in the photo. In an instant, tears streamed down her face. This was her Yingying, her daughter Yingying! And her son-in-law Aimin, and her granddaughter Yunyun!

How could it be? How could it be their photos? Wang Biyun suddenly thought of something and snatched up the letter from the table. When she saw the sender's name, her tears flowed even more violently.

"Yingying, Yingying." Wang Biyun called her daughter's name, unable to control her emotions. She covered her chest and breathed rapidly.

After a long while, she finally calmed down a little. She carefully tore open the seal and took out the letter inside.

The letter was very long, with three pages in total. The handwriting was not neat and there were traces of tears on it. It was obvious that the writer was very emotional.

Wang Biyun was so excited that she couldn't make any sound. This was her Yingying's handwriting, she recognized it!

"Mom and Dad, hello. Please forgive me, an unfilial daughter, for only finding out about you after so many years..."

However, after reading the first line of words, Wang Biyun's heart almost broke. She wiped her face and continued reading.

She spent more than half an hour reading the three pages. After finishing, her tears were almost dry. She stroked the letter, folded it carefully and put it back into the envelope.

Thinking of her husband who was still working, she suddenly stood up, took the letter and walked out of the house quickly. It was completely different from her slow pace when she returned home just now. She almost walked two steps at a time to where Qin Weiguo was working.
