Chapter 1040 Meeting

Lu Feng's purpose tonight was very clear: to meet Hermann, find out his strengths and weaknesses, and if they could talk, they would; if not, so be it. As for why Siemens was doing this, Lu Feng could figure it out with his toes.

It wasn't until the banquet officially began and everyone had arrived that a tall man in his fifties slowly walked into the hall. Upon seeing him, the people around him rushed forward to exchange pleasantries and introduce themselves. As long as you had any connection with Siemens, it was practically a guaranteed job.

The world of fame and fortune is pretty much the same in any country. Lu Feng sat on the second floor, looking down at the scene below, drinking coffee without saying a word.

Herman glanced around but didn't see any important figures. Led by John, he headed up to the second floor. On the stairs, Herman asked in a low voice, "Harry and Bliss aren't here?"

"No, they've been quite busy lately. They were supposed to meet you, but they just called to say something came up and they can't make it." John said with a regretful look, "I just answered the phone and you arrived right after."

"Where's the secretary?" Herman looked displeased, and his steps on the stairs seemed to become heavy.

"No, but since someone came, your trip wasn't a complete waste." John was about to mention Lu Feng when Herman interrupted him.

“President John, you promised to introduce these two to me. I also told you on the phone that this time the standard for home appliances is not aimed at Jiafeng Electronics, but at providing a higher standard for home appliances throughout Europe. I don’t want the infighting between some factions to affect this matter.” Hermann said to John with a serious expression.

“I know that Siemens is a leader in various industries and has set many industry standards. This time, something really came up unexpectedly, and I’m truly sorry. However, the matter between you and Jiafeng is currently making headlines, and since the person in charge of Jiafeng is here, let’s sit down and talk,” John said.

Hermann now understood everything. He stared at John for a while and said, "You think we're targeting the Schroder Group?"

"No, no, no, I just thought we could sit down and talk. Since it's business, we can discuss it. Some of the rumors from the outside world aren't very pleasant. Sitting down would be a good way to clear up any misunderstandings and get to know each other." John noticed Herman's unhappiness and said, "You still have that much magnanimity, don't you?"

Since John had already said those words, it wouldn't be appropriate for Herman to just turn around and leave, so he silently walked upstairs.

In the second-floor reception room, Hermann sat down. A waiter walked towards Lu Feng's seat and whispered, "Mr. Lu, Mr. Hermann has arrived. Please come over."

Lu Feng stood up and walked towards the reception room. A waiter opened the door, and Lu Feng went in, smiled at the white man in his fifties sitting on the single sofa, and said, "You must be Mr. Herman?"

Herman stared at Lu Feng in disbelief. He guessed that the young man in front of him was Lu Feng, but deep down he was reluctant to admit that this young man could stir up such a storm.

"Let me introduce you. This is Mr. Lu Feng, the founder of Jiafeng Group." John introduced Lu Feng to Mr. Hermann, CEO of Siemens Group.

"Hello!" Lu Feng extended his hand and shook hands, then sat down on the single sofa opposite him.

The reception room was quite simple, with two single sofas as a set, and a small coffee table in the middle, on which were placed an ashtray, some fruit, and a bouquet of fresh flowers. Herman sat two or three meters away opposite him, while John sat in the seat of honor. Apart from the three of them, there was no one else, and the atmosphere was somewhat formal.

“I knew you were an Asian, but I never expected you to be so young. You must be the youngest billionaire I’ve ever met in the last ten years. The last one was Bill Gates.” Herman showed some admiration for Lu Feng.

"I wouldn't dare compare myself to Bill Gates. I'm not as lucky as him. I wasn't born in the US," Lu Feng said, lighting a cigarette. "Otherwise, things wouldn't be so difficult!"
