Lu Feng looked at the folder in front of him, flipped through it for a long time but lost interest. Company matters were not important at the moment; what mattered most was how to manage relationships with top management.
Liu Cheng brought up the global technology patent registration of the R&D company several times, but Lu Feng had been suppressing this matter. If the registration was not carried out, he was afraid that internal personnel would leak the information. If it was announced to the public, it would inevitably suffer a double blow from both the United States and Japan.
Don't be fooled by Lambert's current interest. If Jiafeng really makes a name for himself, things will be completely different. Not only might he not be able to take the money he earns in Europe, but he might not even be able to return.
Even if the case is handed over to the United States, Jiafeng would be completely ruined if he were detained in Europe for a few years. Lu Feng has to be wary of these things. Compared to many years later, the United States now has far fewer scruples in its actions.
Unable to reach Herman, Lu Feng first called John. John also said it was difficult, as the last time they had used Harry and Brice as an excuse to call them out, but the other party clearly looked down on Lu Feng and John.
After hanging up the phone, Lu Feng called Sean again. Sean was also helpless. As the largest conglomerate in Europe, Siemens was too huge, as big as Nokia before it was dismantled. Its electrical products were unparalleled in the world. Not to mention some companies, many small countries had to rely on Siemens.
"So what do we do now? Should I call him every day to make appointments?" Lu Feng said, somewhat annoyed. "They set me up like this, and instead of communicating to resolve the issue, they just want to team up with Wall Street to make a fool of me. It's a European company, after all. How can they side with outsiders?"
“Mr. Lu, you’re not a three-year-old. Capital doesn’t care about nationality. Let me tell you, Siemens had some grudges with Schroder Group in the past, right after World War II, so they don’t have that much influence anymore.” Sean said helplessly, “Now that you’re in this situation, even a god couldn’t save you.”
"No hope?" Lu Feng lit a cigarette, somewhat skeptical of this statement.
Sean analyzed the current situation for him. With such a behemoth as Siemens blocking the way, European countries would carefully consider some of its proposed industry standards. Jiafeng is making money now, so logically, after spending so much money on bribes, transferring some assets abroad should be a piece of cake.
Why are they blocking the way and not letting us leave?
“You still want to take advantage of me and leave me alone? You need to understand one thing: businessmen have no bottom line, entrepreneurs have no bottom line. Harry and Brice are inhuman!” Sean bluntly stated.
Jiafeng is too fat, and some big shots are envious of him. They won't let him leave until he empties his pockets. What's more, he's currently embroiled in a bunch of lawsuits, with Siemens blocking his way. What a convenient excuse!
"Hehehe!" Lu Feng sneered a few times. It's true that he has no one to back him up and is bullied by others.
Lu Feng suddenly thought of something and said, "You said I'm a piece of fat meat. If an even fatter piece of meat appeared, would they stop targeting me like this?"
"Fatter than you?" Sean was stunned. There was probably no one fatter than him in all of Europe. Even if there were, their businesses would be legitimate and not in a gray area.
"right!"
Which company?
"I won't tell you that yet. That's all. You go ahead and get busy!" Lu Feng said, then hung up the phone and sat there pondering.
According to Sean's analysis, a bigger fish must appear before these people will let him go. If he deliberately goes looking for it, this fish won't be easy to find. He can only say he's lucky that Elmi came; isn't this a big fish delivered to his doorstep?
Lu Feng's previous idea was to find a way to bring the two sides together, save face for himself, and get Siemens to loosen its grip and transfer the profits back to China. Now he doesn't think that way anymore. If they're going to play, they should play big. If they play small, both sides will feel like they're losing out.
Nokia wanted sales channels, so Lu Feng offered a promise: he would share Siemens' global sales channels with Nokia. Siemens wanted the technology and brand in the communications industry, so he would help them acquire Nokia. As long as the pie between the two sides was balanced in the short term, nothing else mattered. As for what would happen after Lu Feng left, he couldn't care less.
Having figured this out, Lu Feng's thinking became clear. He was quite experienced in acting as a middleman and making empty promises to both parties.
Lu Feng stood up and left the office, going directly to Manager Li's office, pushing open the door and walking in.
Manager Li was also taken aback when he saw Lu Feng walk in. He quickly stood up and asked in surprise, "Mr. Lu, is something the matter?"
"I have a favor to do. In a bit, contact a few media outlets and release some news. Say that our monthly profit has exceeded five billion pounds, and that we are expected to become the most profitable company in the UK by the end of the year. We will expand our business globally within three years. Basically, just brag a bit." Lu Feng said to Manager Li, "Remember, when you're interviewing, you need to be arrogant. Besides that, there are a lot of banquets going on recently. Pick one with high public attention for me to attend."
Manager Li was dumbfounded after hearing these two things. Lu Feng had always kept a low profile and talked about becoming a deep-sea behemoth in previous meetings. Why was he suddenly being so high-profile?
"Didn't you hear me?" Lu Feng asked when he didn't react.
"I heard that... Mr. Lu, didn't you say before that we shouldn't be too high-profile, that we're not suited to being high-profile?" Manager Li asked, puzzled.
"That was before. Things are different now. If you make money, you have to let the whole world know. You have to pretend, right? Just do as I say. Also, get all the lecturers to start praising me and encourage our agents." After giving his instructions, Lu Feng turned and left.
