The crowd slowly made their way out. Lu Feng ate a couple of bites of canned food, stood up and went to the restroom. When he came back, he sat down and stared blankly at the calendar.
Suddenly realizing he hadn't called General Manager Huang during the Chinese New Year, Lu Feng felt he should at least wish him a Happy New Year. Feeling a bit impolite, he quickly picked up the phone and made the call.
As a result, the other party told Lu Feng that Huang Youwei was no longer with the steel group and gave him his home phone number.
"Hey, Mr. Huang, Happy New Year! I'm here to wish you a Happy New Year," Lu Feng said politely.
"Happy New Year to you too! So you still remember me? I was just thinking of giving you a call. I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. How about we go out for a drink tonight? I have some good news for you." The voice on the other end of the phone was tinged with emotion.
"Okay, my treat, Tianyue Hotel."
"OK!"
Around 5 p.m., Lu Feng's car was already parked downstairs. In the past six months, he had become a regular at the Tianyue Hotel, and the receptionists at the entrance all recognized him.
"Mr. Lu is here! Long time no see, you've gotten even more handsome!" The girl smiled at him.
“Xiao Fang looks even more beautiful after the New Year. Tsk tsk tsk, with your height you should be a model. It’s a waste for you to stand here as a hostess,” Lu Feng teased.
The front desk manager walked over, glanced at Xiao Fang, and said with a smile, "Mr. Lu, please don't take it to heart. Please come upstairs. Which private room?"
"The usual place!" Lu Feng said as he went upstairs.
A moment later, the manager came over and scolded Xiaofang, "Laughing and joking with customers during work hours? Do you really think you're that pretty? Mr. Lu's wife is several times prettier than you. Don't think about such nonsense all day, understand?"
"Okay!" Xiaofang rolled her eyes and stood there without saying a word.
At six o'clock in the evening, Huang Youwei entered the private room. After exchanging a few polite words, he sat down. Lu Feng poured him a bottle of Moutai and said, "Now you shouldn't call me General Manager Huang anymore, you should call me Mayor Huang?"
"What?" Huang Youwei waved his hand, but his face was full of smiles. He leaned back in his chair and looked Lu Feng up and down, saying, "Tell me the truth, did you call Tingting?"
"No!"
"I don't believe it. Let me tell you, Ren Qianbo's factory has been seized by the court, and nobody knows where he went. Some say he's dead, some say he went abroad. You should just go about your business!"
"Not going to auction it off?" Lu Feng asked hurriedly.
"Probably not. I heard they only owe a little over ten thousand, probably absorbed internally. If you can buy it, buy it; if not, don't force it. You don't understand the ins and outs of this." Boss Huang said, downing his drink in one gulp, then looked at Lu Feng with displeasure and asked, "Why aren't you drinking?"
Lu Feng picked up his wine glass and drank it all in one gulp, then asked in a low voice, "Which city have you been transferred to?"
"What? You're coming with me? If you follow me, do you think I can protect you from being wiped out by Wahaha?" Huang Youwei smiled like an old fox, clearly very knowledgeable about the market. He picked up his chopsticks, took a bite of cold dish, and said, "All the assessments now are focused on attracting investment, understand? I'm a businessman too!"
"I know!"
"In the south, in a prefecture-level city in the Yangtze River Delta, I'm hoping that Mr. Lu will expand his business and build a few factories there as soon as possible, so that he can bring me some success."
"Don't worry, definitely. As long as you provide the land, the loan, and the tax exemption, everything will be fine!"
Huang Youwei stared at him blankly, then suddenly laughed and said, "You just love adventure!"
"You understand me again!"
“I don’t understand you, I understand people like you. Free land, low-interest loans, tax-free policies, aren’t they all prepared for people like you? I like people like you, but sometimes I also feel sorry for people like you.”
"I toast to you!" Lu Feng raised his glass and clinked it against his.
"You don't need to flatter me. I don't care how big this place is. If you want to go far, flattering Tingting might be useful. To be a small businessman, you only need to understand one street. To be a big businessman, you need to understand an entire province. To be an entrepreneur, you need to understand the trends of the times," Huang Youwei said slowly.
Lu Feng nodded and said, "The era has arrived, and so have the challenges. Whether it's a fish leaping over the dragon gate or a mantis trying to stop a chariot, we'll see today. In ten years, it will be the new century, and these last ten years are destined to be incredibly exciting."
Huang Youwei picked up his wine glass, looked at Lu Feng, and said, "Let me give you two lines of poetry: 'I will ride the waves for three thousand miles, and be confident that we have known each other for two hundred years!'"
"Two hundred years is too long, ten years is enough!" Lu Feng clinked his glass.
