"A small matter? How small?" Mayor Zhou asked cautiously.
"It's just a minor financial dispute. Don't worry, it won't affect the company. I'm no longer in management," Lu Feng said casually.
"Okay, then make the preparations for tomorrow. They are expected to arrive at nine o'clock in the morning. We'll go to the airport together to pick them up. The local TV station and the provincial TV station will be reporting on it," Mayor Zhou instructed.
"Don't worry," Lu Feng said politely.
After hanging up the phone, Lu Feng picked up the folder on the table, walked out of the office and saw Duo Duo playing on the computer in the next office. He poked his head in and instructed, "Notify the reception team to hold a meeting."
A few minutes later, Sun Senlin and his group gathered in the conference room. Lu Feng made some minor changes to the inspection process and instructed Liu Cheng to bring some finished products such as wafers from the R&D company to show them the next day, and to briefly introduce the R&D company's philosophy and technical structure.
Just find a few more employees who don't have anything important to do to stand there and pretend there are more people.
As evening approached and the sun began to set, the intense heat in the air subsided. Jiang Xiaoyan parked her car downstairs and looked at her own window upstairs, feeling a sense of resistance. She didn't want to go upstairs. She used to find it annoying when Duoduo was around, but now that she was all alone in the house, it felt incredibly lonely.
"President Jiang is back? Why aren't you coming upstairs?" asked the old lady downstairs as she picked vegetables.
"It's a bit hot upstairs, let's stay here for a while," Jiang Xiaoyan replied.
Jiang Xiaoyan hesitated. She wanted to go find Lu Feng, but she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to escape his clutches that night. She was filled with worries. If she didn't study hard during the summer vacation, she would waste the time when school started.
With that in mind, Jiang Xiaoyan didn't hesitate any longer. She got into the car and drove straight to the villa.
At nine o'clock in the evening, Lu Feng drove Duo Duo to his doorstep and asked with a smile, "Have you had a good day?"
"I'm so happy! Dad, I want to play on the computer again tomorrow!" Duoduo exclaimed.
"Interested in computers? Let's go play tomorrow." Lu Feng readily agreed, and casually opened the car door, seeing someone standing at his doorstep.
Squinting to look closely, I realized it was Jiang Xiaoyan standing there, her face looking rather pale.
"Why are you here?" Lu Feng looked at her with surprise.
"You're only bringing the child back now? What were you talking about playing?" Jiang Xiaoyan's voice was filled with dissatisfaction.
When Duoduo heard her mother's voice, she was so frightened that she quickly shrank back and didn't dare to get out of the car.
"Look at you, all you do is scare the child. I took her to the company today. This little one is interested in computers, we can cultivate that interest, it's much better than playing the piano. Don't stand outside, I'll open the door for you." Lu Feng walked forward with a grin, reaching out to put his arm around Jiang Xiaoyan's waist.
Jiang Xiaoyan twisted her body to avoid it and asked, "What's a computer? What's the use of learning about it?"
"Come in and tell me, aren't you tired of standing?" Lu Feng opened the door, went to the car, and took Duo Duo out. He whispered, "Don't worry, Dad will take care of you."
"You're still protecting me, but you're being bullied by others." Duoduo clearly didn't quite believe him.
The family entered the house, turned on the lights, and sat down. Jiang Xiaoyan wanted Duoduo to continue practicing piano and enroll her in an intensive class during the summer vacation to make up for her basics. After hearing about the summer vacation plan, Duoduo shrank on the sofa and dared not speak, her eyes peeking at Lu Feng with a pleading look.
“The child is still young, let him play. Too much reading can turn him into a bookworm. Let’s not talk about this anymore. It’s already this late. If he washes up, it will be past ten o’clock. You can stay here, and we can take turns taking care of the child.” Lu Feng gave Jiang Xiaoyan a suggestion.
Duoduo huddled next to Lu Feng, hiding her little head behind his back, and asked in a low voice, "Daddy, are you sure she won't hit me?"
"Definitely not, I'm a man, she wouldn't dare to be presumptuous," Lu Feng affirmed.
"But I feel like my mom would beat me to death."
"Don't worry at all, Dad will take care of her tonight. Tomorrow, go play on the computer and do your research," Lu Feng assured him.
