After getting in the car, we headed straight to the Ronald Family Group building. Once there, we handed over all the documents to them and said to Ronald's father, "It's headquarters' requirement that we now take over all of the company's tungsten mines and will no longer entrust you with the agency. These are the handover procedures; just sign this document."
"What's wrong?" Ronald's father stood up in a panic and asked, "Did we do something wrong? We can definitely make up for last year's losses this year. The global commodity prices are very good this year."
"It has nothing to do with losses; it's just that headquarters believes it should be in control to facilitate complementarity with other industries," Ma Wanjun replied.
“We can help too, these are no problem, Mr. Ma, please have a seat. Please tell Mr. Lu that if you want something in return, that’s no problem either.” Ronald’s father said politely and knowledgeably, “This is South Africa, you’re so far away, no one knows how much of those mines have been mined.”
Ma Wanjun understood what the other party meant, and he had taken quite a bit of money since he arrived. However, he could no longer do that under the current circumstances. If he couldn't handle this matter in the next few days, headquarters would immediately send someone to replace him.
Ronald's father tried everything to persuade him, but nothing worked. In the end, he brought Ronald over, who kept calling Lu Feng "brother." When they couldn't reach an agreement, they even called Lu Feng.
"Who is this?" Lu Feng asked into the phone while sitting on the sofa.
"Mr. Lu, it's me, Ronald!" Ronald was very polite on the phone, first inviting him to his home, then rambling on about how much everyone missed him, until Lu Feng was getting a little impatient before finally getting to the point.
"No, the handover must be completed as soon as possible. 'As soon as possible' means within three to five days. I will send a team over in the next few days. If you haven't handed over the management rights of the tungsten mine by the time my people arrive, don't blame me for being impolite." Lu Feng's tone was quite unfriendly. He knew this family was reluctant to give up the profits from the tungsten mine, and now it was time to use this bomb. Lu Feng would not allow anyone to let this bomb go out.
"Mr. Lu, you can definitely trust me to do things for you. We're brothers, after all."
"Bro my ass!! If you don't finish the handover within a few days, do you believe I'll pay a few tribal chiefs to kill you?" Lu Feng cursed a couple of times before hanging up the phone.
It was already past 11 p.m., and Lu Feng had been receiving a constant stream of phone calls since he got home, using every connection he could.
Upon receiving the news, the New York Foreign Affairs Department immediately lodged a protest, demanding that the U.S. Maritime Department release Jiafeng Electronics' cargo and condemning the action. The protest was quite impolite over the phone, but how much of a difference did it make?
Don't think that just because Jiafeng Electronics is a private enterprise, even state-owned enterprises can only suffer in silence these days. But if they can't keep it to themselves, they might as well call and yell at each other.
At midnight, Ma Wanjun called and said that the other party wanted to authorize the paperwork because Duoduo was the owner of these mines and Duoduo's signature was required. Ronald was trying to stall for time.
"I understand. I'll write one for him now and fax it to you tomorrow."
Lu Feng hung up the phone and began drafting the relevant authorization letter. Lu Feng is Duo Duo's father and has guardianship rights. Since Duo Duo has no civil capacity, Lu Feng, as the guardian, can authorize the authorization on behalf of Duo Duo.
Lu Feng delegated full management authority over the mineral resources to himself on behalf of Duo Duo, and then delegated the authority to Ma Wanjun, allowing him to take over the management rights of the mineral resources there.
At 1 a.m., the Science and Technology Commission called to inquire about the impact of Lu Feng's incident.
"The impact is still significant. If we can't buy lithography machines in the next year, it's uncertain whether the chips can even be produced. And whether I can still control Jiafeng Electronics the year after next is also unknown," Lu Feng said somewhat dejectedly.
"We'll help you find the relevant model of lithography machine as soon as possible. Given the international pressure, we can't offer any substantial assistance. What are your plans?"
"I'll handle the international market. I've left myself some room for maneuver; tungsten ore prices are likely to skyrocket this year," Lu Feng said calmly.
