Chapter 1200 Management Transfer

Lu Feng accompanied local leaders on an inspection tour of the entire industry chain, including the packaging plant, wafer fab, testing plant, and lithography plant. He also had a meal with the heads of local supporting companies.

In the following days, I went to Nankai University, Tianjin University, Tianjin University of Technology and other universities to study and signed a talent transfer plan, which was the "guaranteed job placement" in the late 1990s.

The group's senior executives have all disappeared, and the headquarters building is about to be relocated in a few days. Things are getting a bit chaotic, and the management is privately wondering what has happened recently.

Goodley strolled around the company. He was moving to a new office in a few days. Now, wherever Goodley went in the company, people would greet him, and in English no less. It was like a goat farting on a sheep's back, stylish and flamboyant.

"Secretary Gu!" the administrative manager called out to Gudley, and the two went into the office.

"Something up? You have to come to the party tonight, it's been so boring for you these past few days," Goodley said, sitting down.

"I don't care, it's you I'm concerned about. Haven't you heard anything lately? President Lu has been back for a while now." The administrative manager said in a low voice, "Yesterday, President Wei, President Zhu, and President Du all went on business trips. We don't even know where they went. They bought their own plane tickets without us having to buy them."

"Is it that mysterious?" Goodley frowned and said, "President Lu went to Tianjin, right?"

"Yes, it was President Liu who accompanied him. I guess they went to visit the chip factory. I also heard from the finance department that since President Lu came back, the R&D company and the group headquarters have started to drift apart. No matter what the handover is, they have to have contracts, documents, and authorizations first. Some people in the departments complained that the process is too complicated, just like with an external company." The administrative manager muttered.

"Isn't this a well-thought-out plan? He knows it in his heart. How many months are left this year? Those two billion in profits won't just appear out of thin air. Let me put it this way, as long as the company is acquired, given my position in the Schroders Group, I will definitely be the person in charge here," Goodley said smugly.

"That's right, your level is much better than Lu Feng's group. European companies are all the same size. You were a leader there. Managing Jiafeng here is a piece of cake for you, right?" The administrative manager flattered, "When you get promoted, you should give me a boost. This administrative job is not very interesting. It's all about managing miscellaneous things."

“Easy. Our management style will absolutely not be like Lu Feng's group. It will be absolutely fair, and we will let capable people take the positions, not those with connections or those who know how to flatter.” Goodley stood up and said, “Fairness! Freedom!”

These words brought a smile to the face of the junior administrative manager, who had always felt that he was in this position because he was being suppressed. With his abilities, he would have been in charge of a province's market long ago.

That position is incredibly lucrative, unlike here. On the surface, I'm just a manager, but everyone I talk to is a leader, and I'm constantly being assigned all sorts of miscellaneous tasks.

As Goodley left the office, he already knew that Lu Feng wouldn't just take the money and leave. He wanted the R&D company more, and this matter needed to be reported in advance. Whether or not he could get the company was not up to him.

According to Goodley's idea, the R&D company should absolutely not be given to Lu Feng, otherwise the entire group would become an empty shell.

Back in his office, Goodley calculated the time difference and called John.

After listening to the phone call, John silently calculated in his mind that the agreement he signed with the Silicon Valley company covered the entire Jiafeng Group. If the R&D company were to be privatized, it would be very detrimental to their subsequent negotiations.

“This won’t work. The best solution is to give him one or two hundred million US dollars and let him relinquish his shares!” John said on the phone. “By the way, after taking control of the company, we need to take back the management’s shares. We’ll say it’s a company restructuring and have them sign an agreement to voluntarily relinquish ownership, replacing it with compensation!”

“The management is easy to deal with, but the biggest problem now is Lu Feng,” Goodley said with a headache. “He’s obviously prepared for this. If things really escalate and drag on, it won’t work.”

"That's up to you. Nothing in this world is that simple. If he's unwilling to let go, then you should find a way to make him let go," John instructed. "Besides, there are still a few months left."
