Inside the factory, each department held a morning meeting early in the morning. Especially after Lu Feng returned, everyone was on edge. Although Jiaming Foods had only been established for a short time, its internal rules and regulations were very strict.
For some, it was even harsh; the monthly performance targets were overwhelming, and the point system with a bottom-ranking elimination method was in place. Lu Feng explained in a meeting that this was some kind of entropy reduction and increase, but no one understood.
High pressure means high efficiency. To achieve high efficiency, you need high returns. The wages of the lower-level employees are one-third higher than those in other factories, and their benefits are also better. As for the management, as long as they perform well, they can get shares or even become partners.
Lu Feng simply combined the management systems of Huawei and Alibaba from later generations. He did dilute a lot of shares, but as the largest shareholder, he was always able to firmly control Jiaming Foods and ensure that employees were in the best condition to face their work. He understood the principle that if you want a horse to run, you have to feed it.
Zhang Fengxia had already arrived. She was curious about the energy of the factory's managers, feeling that they were all incredibly energetic.
He entered Lu Feng's office and looked through the folders on the table.
"What are you doing? Don't touch things! Get out here right now!" an older woman said anxiously.
"Huh?" Zhang Fengxia sized up the other person, who was just a cleaner, and said, "I'm just looking around."
"This is the chairman's office. Which department are you from?" The aunt looked her up and down suspiciously.
"I'm Mr. Lu's secretary. You can go about your business and don't need to worry about me."
The aunt turned and left, and Zhang Fengxia breathed a sigh of relief. The people here all seemed very well-behaved, giving her an indescribable sense of oppression. Everyone was doing their job, and she felt like a wanderer with no destination.
Having studied many classic business management principles, she found it hard to believe that a factory established for less than a year could have such amazing execution capabilities.
Flipping through some internal factory meeting documents, Zhang Fengxia realized that Lu Feng had basically handed over the factory's operations to Gao Zhiwei. She couldn't understand why someone like Gao Zhiwei would stoop to serve under Lu Feng.
"What do you do? Which department are you from? Where are your uniform and name tag?" Several security guards walked in and asked the four soul-searching questions.
Zhang Fengxia turned around somewhat awkwardly and looked at the cleaning lady at the door; it was clearly she who had called the security guard.
"I'm a friend of President Lu!"
"You just said you were the secretary," the aunt ruthlessly exposed her lie.
"I...I really...I came here yesterday, I went to ask in other offices, yesterday..."
"Come on, come on, let's go to the HR department and we'll find out. Nobody from our factory is allowed in, understand?" The security guard said, preparing to pull her out.
"What's wrong?" Lu Feng had just walked over when he saw the cleaning lady standing at the door.
"Mr. Lu, it looks like a thief has broken into your office."
"Huh?" Lu Feng shouted, picked up Duo Duo and rushed in. The office contained all the information about the sixteen branch factories, as well as product formulas, corporate plans, marketing plans and a whole bunch of other documents.
When he saw that it was Zhang Fengxia, he broke out in a cold sweat and said, "It's okay, I know this person, you can go out."
“I already told you it’s his friend’s,” Zhang Fengxia said helplessly.
"I clean this place every day, and I've never seen it before, so I'm sorry."
"Aunt Zhao, it's alright. You go ahead with your work. It's good to be a little vigilant. After all, the documents in my office are quite important, and some people are shifty-eyed. It's normal!" Lu Feng said politely, and Aunt Zhao went to clean other offices.
"What do you mean by 'shifty-eyed'?" Zhang Fengxia asked, looking at Duoduo. "Where's her mother? Is she here to take care of the child?"
"Don't even mention it, it's so annoying." Lu Feng put Duo Duo down on the ground to let her play by herself, then sat down in a chair and said, "Are you sure you want to stay?"
"I'll leave if you give me the money," Zhang Fengxia said, sounding somewhat unsure.
"Here's what we'll do. Go to the HR department later to complete the onboarding procedures. The monthly salary is three hundred, and you'll be considered a factory employee." Lu Feng pulled out a piece of paper, quickly wrote a recommendation, and handed it to her, saying, "Here you go!"
"Three hundred a month? Me? I have a Harvard undergraduate degree and a Yale graduate degree. You still owe me so much money. How can you be so shameless?"
Lu Feng looked up at her and said directly, "I know what you want. If you want to stay by my side, put away your arrogance. If you don't want to go, leave it on the table, leave your bank account number, and leave."
"I...I'm a pretty girl, can't you be a little gentler and coax me a bit?!"
"Trying to fool you?" Lu Feng sneered, leaning back in his chair. "Take a good look at my dark circles and my face that's practically giving me kidney deficiency."
"Ugh...disgusting." Zhang Fengxia turned around and left with a look of disgust on her face.
Lu Feng organized his thoughts. Next up were meetings with the design and R&D departments. There were quite a few meetings to attend today. Having been away from the factory for so long, he needed to get a general understanding of the situation, especially regarding the products and market after the New Year.
A dozen minutes later, Zhang Fengxia walked in, wearing a name tag on her chest. She sat down and said, "Can I ask you something?"
"explain!"
"How did you manage to trick Gao Zhiwei into coming here?"
"Fooling him? Couldn't it be because he's exceptionally capable, and out of admiration, he's willing to stay under my command?" Lu Feng said, looking at her.
"Tch!" Zhang Fengxia scoffed. "You? I'm already a hired employee. What's your task today?"
"You can't do much, so just spend the day playing with my daughter," Lu Feng said, starting to organize the documents on the table.
