Chapter 1266 Long-awaited

Lu Feng took on the listing tasks of more than ten state-owned enterprises on site, and will act as their agent for the listing process.

The profits of securities firms are divided into several parts. One part is the business of helping companies go public, register, open accounts, raise funds, and lend securities. This part of the profits accounts for about 50% of United Capital's profits.

The other half of their profits come from investments. When they find a good stock, they buy a lot of it before it goes public, and then sell it to retail investors after the stock price rises. This is why many companies create hype in the days before they go public, and their stock prices rise one after another, but after a year or two, they have fallen so much that they can't even find their way back home.

Fearing that things might be delayed the next day, no one dared to drink too much, and the party ended hastily around 10 p.m. The next morning, as planned, Lu Feng arrived at the airport and boarded the plane.

Although it wasn't a private jet, the seats were quite comfortable, clearly having been modified. The plane took off at nine o'clock in the morning. Several executives around Lu Feng chatted idly, looking at who else wanted to list in Hong Kong, trying to win over as many as possible.

This was Lu Feng's first time traveling abroad with a delegation in his two lifetimes. He used to think he was on the same plane as the leaders when he saw the scenes on TV, but now he realized that there were thousands of people in the group, including staff and companies, and a total of ten planes. Their treatment was just modified seats, which were similar to first class seats.

Apart from a resupply stop along the way, the flight of more than ten hours was indeed uncomfortable. Coupled with the forced jet lag, Lu Feng slept on and off the whole way. It was only when the announcement that they were about to land that everyone woke up from their sleep.

The first day's itinerary was different: the leader's private plane went to Honolulu, while the business group went to New York. This was one of the few free days during the trip.

As the plane landed, it was already broad daylight outside. They had flown from daytime in China to daytime in the United States. After the plane came to a safe stop, buses were already waiting below, and the relevant departments arranged for them to check into the hotel.

Everything was as usual outside the airport. The welcoming ceremony was arranged at Xiangtan Mountain. Lu Feng and his group got off the bus and looked around at the crowd. Suddenly, they saw a sign written in Chinese that read: "Dear, I am here."

Standing beneath the sign was a graceful young woman, her eyes fixed intently on Lu Feng, glistening with tears.

Lu Feng stared blankly at her, a smile appearing on his face. He reached out and waved to her, but unfortunately, the distance was too far, and it wasn't the right time to go over and meet her.

From a distance, Zhang Fengxia looked a little plumper. The weariness on her face from when she was in Huasha was gone, replaced by a more charming air. In front of her was a baby stroller. She picked up Miaomiao and waved the little one's hand at Lu Fengzhi.

"Mr. Lu, who is he to you?" the person in charge asked as he walked over.

Lu Feng snapped out of his daze and said, "Girlfriend!"

"Then let's go meet him. The bus can wait a bit."

"No need, it won't take up everyone's time." Lu Feng said to him, "Once we get to the hotel, there's nothing to do, you can move around freely."

"That's true, let's get in the car!"

Lu Feng waved to her and got on the bus. Zhang Fengxia kept staring at the bus until it drove away. Holding Miaomiao's hand, she could no longer hold back her tears and choked out, "That's Daddy, remember to call him Daddy!"

At 10 a.m., we checked into the hotel. The person in charge of this business group gathered us together and gave a brief speech, hoping that everyone could adjust to the time difference as soon as possible and that we could have free time, as the next few days would be quite busy.

After the meeting ended, Lu Feng went downstairs without stopping, hailed a taxi, and told the driver, "Sky Apartment!"

The car sped away, and when Lu Feng stood downstairs, he was still a little nervous. He took a deep breath and prepared to go up, but was stopped by the security guard.

After a lengthy registration and notification process, Lu Feng finally went upstairs. The interior was quite luxurious, complete with a swimming pool, gym, and reception room, and offered 24-hour butler service, similar to a high-end commercial apartment in China in later generations.

Zhang Fengxia lived in a not-so-large house, a little over 180 square meters. When the door opened, Zhang Fengxia threw herself into Lu Feng's arms and hugged him tightly.

"Daddy! Daddy!"

A childish voice came from inside the house, and a little one slowly walked towards the door in a walker.

Lu Feng picked up Zhang Fengxia and carried her into the house. It took him a while to calm down. Looking at the little girl in front of him, Lu Feng couldn't help but smile. He felt a deep connection with her that he had never experienced before.

"You need to reverse your sleep schedule now, right?" Zhang Fengxia asked.

"Fortunately, I slept for a few hours on the plane, so I'll be fine until tonight." Lu Feng looked her up and down; she was still as beautiful as ever after not seeing her for a long time.

"That's good. It's almost noon. I've asked the apartment manager to buy groceries and cook for you." Zhang Fengxia said, then sat there, unsure of what to say next.

Having not seen each other for so long, their lives were no longer on the same track. They had already said everything they usually talked about on the phone, and now they looked at each other in silence.

The silence in the room was awkward; the two were so close yet so distant. Lu Feng broke the silence first, asking, "How are your studies going?"

“You’ve successfully obtained your graduation certificate.” Zhang Fengxia looked at Lu Feng and said, “You’ve lost weight and look much less naive. I remember the first time I met you, you were a young boy with an air of maturity. Now your appearance and demeanor are finally in harmony.”

"Really? You've aged so much?" Lu Feng looked at himself and said, "It's from staying up late all night, and I've definitely been busy."
