Chapter 1296 Who can let go?

Lu Feng was speechless at her question, and somewhat embarrassed and angry, he said, "What business is it of yours what my family's affairs are? Aren't you doing all this just to get into this family?"

"Pah! If this house is your private kingdom, then I don't want to go in!" Su Yourong cursed into the phone. "Since you can't control yourself, then please be a loner. You have no special privileges here, and we don't accept your 'rich man's unspoken rules'!"

Su Yourong hung up the phone immediately after speaking.

Jiang Xiaoyan and Zhang Fengxia moved to the villa that Jiang Xiaoyan had bought earlier that very night. Duoduo didn't know what had happened or why they suddenly had to move.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Duoduo asked.

"Don't ask too many questions, little one. Go back to your room and go to sleep. You'll be in school as usual tomorrow!" Jiang Xiaoyan told her to go back to her room and sleep.

Not getting an answer, Duoduo went back to her room, slightly annoyed.

The children had all gone to sleep, but Jiang Xiaoyan and Zhang Fengxia couldn't sleep. They looked at each other, both feeling uncomfortable. When would this chaos end?

Perhaps Su Yourong was right; she needed to make a scene to show him that these women weren't to be trifled with. Or perhaps she was wrong; he had never taken these women seriously, seeing them no different from the other women in his eyes. If he lost Third Sister today, he could always find Third Sister tomorrow.

The two agreed to Su Yourong's request partly out of spite, wanting to see how much they meant to Lu Feng. In a relationship, once material things have reached their peak, the next step is the relationship itself.

Love or not love often lies in choices made at such moments, and throughout history, this has been the only way for women to prove their love.

Lu Feng tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. He went downstairs, turned on the light, and saw that the clock on the wall showed it was already two in the morning. The empty house made him feel uneasy.

He picked up his phone from the coffee table and called Jiang Xiaoyan, but no one answered. He then called Zhang Fengxia, but still no one answered!

"Hold!!"

Lu Feng swore and smashed his phone.

"Go ahead and do it! Go ahead and do it to the fullest!!"

He cursed a couple of times, then his mood plummeted again. He felt he was also at fault and that perhaps he should adjust his mindset to face his family and responsibilities.

Unable to sleep, I wandered around the house. I went to Duoduo's room and saw that the lamp was still on. I sat in her seat and stared blankly out the dark window.

Lu Feng casually opened the drawer and found a notebook inside. He thought it was a lyric book, but when he opened it, he found it was a diary.

Lu Feng carefully looked through the documents. The earliest one was from March 1995. It said, "Dad is not here again, Mom is at the factory and hasn't come back yet. I don't know where to go."

The diary entries were spaced out over a long period, mostly recording her boredom, with the rest being about things at school and her thoughts to her mother.

The most recent entry was from a few months ago. In her diary, Duoduo wrote that Aunt Su came to visit, and she had gained a little sister. She didn't feel unhappy at all; on the contrary, she was happy because there were more people in the family, and the adults had smiles on their faces instead of being away from home all day.

Lu Feng felt melancholy as he read the diary. He closed it and put it back in its original place, thinking that perhaps he really hadn't given enough to this family.

Over the years, he has been saying that he will be less busy when he is less busy, but he is always busy. The company is developing rapidly, and if he wants to catch up with the top international manufacturers in a short period of time, he will need to put in several times more time and effort than they do.

It was late at night. Lu Feng walked out of the gate and looked at the dark sea. He was deep in thought and asked himself, "What is the point of living?"

In his previous life, he couldn't understand this problem. In this life, he thought he had found it. But Jiang Xiaoyan, who used to be starving and destitute, has now become a wealthy woman and laid the foundation for the semiconductor market. His early passion has been almost exhausted, and this problem has resurfaced.

In his previous life, Lu Feng firmly believed that life had no meaning, and even humanity itself had no meaning. All morality and laws were merely shackles placed on people for the convenience of management, including products like the family.

However, at this moment, he felt that his child had become the most important thing to him. He had to admit that having more people in the family made it more lively and happier, a feeling that money couldn't buy.

He had also tried being surrounded by people, with everyone fawning over him, but that feeling was fake. He knew why these people were smiling, and they understood that as long as they could fool everyone and make money, everything would be fine. Whether it was genuine or fake, it didn't matter.

Lu Feng felt like he couldn't breathe. The things he had always believed in were crumbling. In his previous life, he didn't get married, didn't believe in family, and thought that all happiness in the world could be bought with money. However, everything in this life was contradicting him.

He felt a pain. If it were according to his usual personality, he would never be attached to anyone around him. No matter who left, it would not move him in the slightest. Only in this way could he eliminate people who could not bring him any benefit when managing the company.

Lu Feng once jokingly said that he was a born capitalist, relentlessly pursuing capital and making the world his home.

Memories from both lifetimes flooded back, leaving him somewhat disoriented. He chain-smoked, telling himself he couldn't accept any threats, and that he could survive without anyone, no matter who it was.

But deep down, a voice told him that he needed this home, that he needed to go home and not face a cold house or female companions brought back from drinking parties, but his family and children.

Lu Feng sighed deeply. He knew he was being threatened and that he had truly found a weakness this time.
