Haozi and his friends sized up the four men, sensing they were not to be trifled with, and asked, "Hey guys, where do you hang out? Do you know that guy surnamed Lu?"
"I don't know him. I don't belong there. My name is Hua Zi!"
"Why are you talking to him if you don't know him? Let me tell you, this is my territory, and we're the ones who call the shots." Rat patted his chest and pointed to Brother Long, saying, "This is Brother Long."
Cui Ning stared wide-eyed at the group and whispered, "What's going on now? Four more have arrived. Tonight, we won't even have a place to sleep next to the chamber pot."
Why worry so much?
Long Ge and his gang could also tell that this Hua Zi was not someone to be trifled with, so they became much more polite in their speech. Hao Zi looked at Lu Feng and the other man and shouted, "What are you standing there for? Come and see Brother Hua!"
Lu Feng stood up. Hua Zi glanced at him and said abruptly, "From now on, in this room, everyone must show me respect, headed by President Lu, understand?"
"What?" Mouse felt like he had misheard, his face full of disbelief. Lu Feng was just a sucker.
"Brother Hua, you're new here and don't know, these two are just chamber pot empties, you don't need to give them face."
"What did you say?" Hua Zi's man rushed over, grabbed Hao Zi by the collar, and shouted, "Who do you think you are, talking non-stop here?"
The mouse was lifted up like a chick, its whole body filled with indescribable fear. It stared wide-eyed at Brother Long, while its lackeys took a step back in fright.
"Brother, let go. Even when beating a dog, you have to consider its owner," Brother Long said, his voice icy. "I can see that you're here to avenge that Lu Feng, aren't you?"
"No, I just don't like you," Hua Zi said.
"Then you'd better think it over carefully. There are four of you, but I have nine. If I break your arms and legs, don't blame me for being ruthless. And this is here. If you leave with missing limbs, don't blame me for not warning you!" Brother Long pulled out half a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and said viciously, "You should go out and ask around. Five years ago, I carried a knife and hacked my way from Liuxiang to Ximen Street."
"Did you hear that? If you don't want to live, then make a move. My brother Long isn't someone to be trifled with. You'll have to think about the consequences yourselves." Haozi forcefully pulled away the hand that was grabbing his collar.
Hua Zi turned to look at Lu Feng and asked, "Mr. Lu, what do you think?"
“Brother, why are you doing this? This is our territory. So what if he has money? We’ll beat him so badly his own mother won’t recognize him. If he doesn’t pay, we’ll beat him up. What’s the harm in it anyway?” Brother Long shouted.
Lu Feng waved his hand and said, "Let him learn a lesson."
"Don't fight, don't ruin the harmony!" the mouse shouted.
"Brother, if you get caught fighting, you'll get beaten up by the prison guards, and the sentence will be heavy. You can't go down the path of crime!"
The group of rats were just petty thieves and dared not actually make a move. They all retreated, but Brother Long and his four or five men, seeing that they had nowhere to retreat, shouted and charged forward.
People from other rooms peeked out, and the scene descended into chaos.
Hua Zi and his three companions were extremely fierce, their punches landing squarely. Coupled with their large size, in less than two minutes Brother Long was lying on the ground groaning in pain, constantly calling for the prison guards, but no one responded.
"I was wrong, I'm sorry, please stop hitting me, I was really wrong."
Brother Long lay on the ground apologizing repeatedly. He already sensed that even if he was beaten to a pulp today, probably no one would come. As for Haozi and his gang, seeing Brother Long beaten like this, they all stood by the wall watching intently.
Hua Zi turned to look at Lu Feng, asking for his opinion.
Lu Feng stood up and walked over. Looking at Brother Long and Brother Hu lying on the ground, he reached into their pockets, took out cigarettes, lit one, and said, "Let's talk about what happened five years ago."
"What, five years ago?"
"Didn't you say you hacked your way from Liuxiang Street to Ximen Street five years ago?" Lu Feng reached out and lifted his shirt, saying, "Did you get this scar from that time?"
"Mr. Lu, I was just kidding you. Liuxiang Street is a food street. I run a few food stalls. I got in here after a fight. The scar on my stomach wasn't from someone stabbing me. It's a surgical scar from my appendectomy," Brother Long said pitifully.
Lu Feng was both amused and exasperated by the result. He was definitely Lu Feng of the slacker world, who had fooled everyone by bragging.
“I don’t want to argue with you. I won’t be here for more than a few days. Yesterday you made me sleep next to the chamber pot, and I did. From now on, you can sleep here. Also, smoking is not allowed here, and I’ve confiscated it.”
Lu Feng stood up and looked at Haozi and his group, saying, "Didn't you say that money is useless? I'll tell you now, money is more effective than fists in any era."
"Yes, yes, yes!" Mouse's eyes darted around as he cleverly said, "We were blind! Mr. Lu is clearly a dashing and extraordinary person. How can people of such low taste compare to you? Hurry up and make the bed for Mr. Lu! Get ready to wash his feet!"
Lu Feng slept in the innermost room, receiving massages and foot baths throughout the night. Cui Ning slept next to him, and the two chatted about the television for a while before falling asleep.
It was already late at night, and Brother Long and his men still had bruises on their faces. In the dim light, their resentful eyes looked particularly vicious.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Hua Zi asked Long Ge and the others after waking up.
"I just want to know, how much money did he give you?"
"Give me money? What? You're still not satisfied?" Hua Zi sneered, "Brother, don't cause trouble for yourself. There are some people you can't afford to mess with."
"He just has a little bit of money."
