"Okay, got it." Lu Feng replied and walked outside.
"Come here!" Gao Zhiwei said to the little girl.
"Is there something you need, Mr. Gao?"
"The Municipal Public Security Bureau called, but they didn't say what it was about?" Gao Zhiwei asked curiously.
"No, they just asked us to inform General Manager Lu to go to the bureau in the next day or two. It seems there's some meeting going on, but they didn't say anything specific. General Manager Gao, is there anything else?"
"That's all, you can go now!" Gao Zhiwei muttered as he sat down, unsure of what Lu Feng was up to, but his intuition told him that something big was about to happen.
Lu Feng drove to the Municipal Public Security Bureau and waited at the reception desk for a while. A young police officer in his thirties came out and led him to the back.
The last three floors were basically office buildings, with some duty rooms and the like. They led Lu Feng to a meeting room, poured him tea, and said politely, "Mr. Lu, please wait a moment. Director Zhou will be here shortly."
"It's nothing." Lu Feng picked up his teacup and took a sip.
After the police officers left, Lu Feng looked around the place. It was decorated in a very serious manner, with two rows of eight individual black sofas, and some flags, badges, honorary banners, slogans and the like hanging on the walls.
Judging from the appearance of this conference hall, it was of a high standard. As Lu Feng was looking around, the door was pushed open and a man in his fifties walked in. He had a square face and exuded an air of authority, followed by four or five people.
"You must be President Lu?" The other person looked at Lu Feng with slight surprise.
"Yes, what's your name?" Lu Feng asked politely.
"My surname is Wang, and I'm the head of our city's Public Security Bureau. Please have a seat. I always heard that Director Lu is young when I attend meetings, but I didn't expect him to be this young," Director Wang said with a smile.
"It's just small-scale stuff, nothing compared to what you've done," Lu Feng said as he sat down.
I just listened to those polite words. For the past six months or so, I've heard the name Jiaming Foods in private at every meeting I've attended, especially at provincial meetings. I heard Lu Feng's name quite often. At the private enterprise commendation conference, Gao Zhiwei attended in his place, but Secretary Jin specifically praised Lu Feng.
This is definitely not simple!
"This is a major operation, initiated by Panda Electronics Group and jointly carried out by police from twelve provinces as part of the Autumn Wind Special Operation. Our city has also received the mission. Although the main targets are not in our city this time, Jiaming Foods, as the main assisting party, still needs to ensure the safety of enterprise production, maintain production, maintain stability, and promote development—two guarantees and one promotion!"
"The Municipal Bureau's idea is to conduct a publicity campaign in the city after the Autumn Wind Special Operation, focusing on Jiaming Food Factory. What's your opinion, Mr. Lu?"
"Support, absolutely support. Jiaming Foods has handled quite a few cases this year. Thank you all for your support. At the end of the year, I will definitely send you a banner." Lu Feng said politely.
"Serving the people is our main responsibility. As the main manufacturer, we must prioritize cooperating with Jiaming Foods in this special operation."
Lu Feng nodded repeatedly, already understanding, and said, "After the operation is over, we will never forget the meticulous work done by the Municipal Bureau in the special operation. Although the front line is important, the stability and security of the rear is the key."
The people present smiled, and the conversation became much more relaxed. They talked about a theft case involving Jiaming Foods a few months ago. An hour later, Lu Feng signed a confidentiality agreement for the special operation and left the Municipal Bureau.
Twenty-four hours later, the first batch of goods arrived at the Zhengzhou factory. Johnnie To called to say that twenty-five trucks had arrived, all of them tightly wrapped. The delivery slips for the goods listed imported fabrics, dyes, textile machinery, etc. The companies involved were a mixed bag, mostly clothing companies.
Su Yourong arrived in Zhengzhou that day and forbade anyone from spying on the factory. She hired a lot of local people to do loading and unloading. She heard that the alley was made of wood and was very heavy. The alley was covered with foreign characters, including Japanese and Korean, and it was quite a mixed bag.
Johnnie To immediately became alert upon hearing this. Imported goods are scarce these days, and such a large quantity being brought in would be suspicious.
Lu Feng told him on the phone not to meddle in other people's business and to just do his own job. He couldn't guarantee what the consequences would be if he interfered.
He was forbidden to tell anyone about it. Although Johnnie To was curious, he didn't dare to ask too many questions. He sensed that this was a matter he shouldn't get involved in.
Within a week, Jiaming Foods' various factories began to open their warehouses, and large trucks arrived carrying goods, ranging from a dozen or so to as many as a hundred.
On October 26th, early winter, Lu Feng boarded a flight to Qingdao. This time he was alone. When the plane landed at the airport exit, Su Yourong was wearing denim overalls, her hair tied up, and a yellow beret. She looked dashing and heroic.
"Here you are!" She waved, her face full of smiles, clearly in a good mood these past few days.
Lu Feng walked over, and Su Yourong threw herself into his arms, taking his arm and saying, "Let me introduce you. Old Xu mainly deals in goods trade in the Jiaozhou Peninsula. He's a very influential person."
Lu Feng sized up the other person and said, "Hello!"
"This is General Manager Zhao..."
They were mostly people who were either on the other side of the river or on this side. On the way to the hotel, Lu Feng heard them say that they not only transported goods, but also people, and recruited people to work illegally on the other side.
A large ship with many shareholders. Some people rent out the cargo hold at one price and the passenger hold at another. In Su Yourong's words, this is not a ship, it is gold!
The hotel had a sea view room. As soon as they arrived, Su Yourong drew the curtains and said, "Let's go to sleep!"
