At 10 a.m., Jianjian and her two companions had already arrived at the booth in the coffee shop. A few minutes later, President Yang walked in with a hangover on his face, and the three of them hurriedly went to greet him.
"Mr. Yang, please have a cup of coffee first to get rid of the smell of alcohol. Mr. Li will be here soon."
"Please have a seat."
Mr. Yang sat down and looked around. It was clear that he was a little uneasy and didn't really trust Jianjian and the other two.
Lu Feng parked the car at the entrance, stepped out, and wore a light blue suit that looked exceptionally refined. He had black-rimmed glasses on his face and a business watch on his wrist. While he didn't look drastically different, he exuded a strong business aura.
Stepping into the coffee shop, I glanced around and saw that Jianjian and her friends were the only ones at the table.
"President Li is here!" she shrieked.
Mr. Yang looked up toward the doorway and saw Lu Feng, so charismatic and out of place with his surroundings, like a colorful person walking into a black and white world.
He felt slightly relieved; at least he wasn't the kind of person who looked like a fraudster at first glance. His attire and demeanor were unlike anything most people possessed.
"Let me introduce you. This is General Manager Yang," Yuanyuan said first. "This is General Manager Li, a returnee from overseas."
"Hello, I'm Li Nianzu, the Marketing Director at Goldman Sachs," Lu Feng introduced himself.
"Hello, hello." General Manager Yang extended his hand and shook hands, saying, "I am the general manager of Tianyun Logistics. My name is Yang Tianchi. They told me about it yesterday, but I don't really understand it."
"Please sit down. Let me give you a brief introduction. I am an overseas Chinese who works at Goldman Sachs. Due to my ethnicity, I was sent back to China to develop the investment market here. We have been targeting various stocks on NASDAQ and the NYSE for many years and have a great deal of data on currency exchange rates and commodity trade."
As Lu Feng spoke, he took out a stack of papers from his bag, which were printed with various patterns.
"Our company raises funds globally and conducts tens of millions of transactions every day. Whether it's stocks, funds, or foreign exchange, a lot of capital is needed to leverage them. With guaranteed funds, you can earn a considerable income."
"Most importantly, we have underground money exchange transactions, which allows us to get the latest data immediately. Compared to retail investors, we are more professional. You should also know about the huge profits in this area. How much money we make is our business, but we can give you a fixed interest rate of 15%."
"One day?" Mr. Yang still couldn't believe it. Fifteen percent a day? Even bank robbers would be envious of that speed of making money!
"Yes, this is the recent market. It reached a high of 24% some time ago. The market is quite volatile, so I don't need to explain too much, right?"
“I know, every second is a transaction!” Mr. Yang nodded.
"How much money would you like to invest?"
"I don't have much on hand right now, so... I'll just invest 10,000 for now." As he spoke, Mr. Yang took out a wad of cash from his pocket.
"Why is it only ten thousand?" Jianjian said with some disappointment.
"You have a shortfall of 700,000, right? Just invest a few million and you'll plug the hole, won't you?"
The three men's urging immediately aroused Mr. Yang's suspicion, and he immediately placed his hand on the money. Lu Feng cursed the three men in his heart for ruining things, and said, "How much to invest is the customer's choice. You are just taking a commission. Mr. Yang, don't listen to them. They are the ones who get paid, so of course they want to exploit more."
Mr. Yang smiled, agreeing with Lu Feng, and his expression relaxed somewhat.
"Let's sign a contract, a fund escrow agreement. It's like this: because this money is going international, and they're cracking down on that now, it's only because we have strong connections that we can secretly go through Citibank in Hong Kong and then transfer it to the US account. So we can only sign this kind of contract. But don't worry, not a penny will be lost."
Lu Feng explained.
This is a standard fund custody contract. The contract states that Yang Tianchi entrusts 10,000 yuan to a company in Shenzhen called Tianqi Technology for safekeeping for a period of no less than 30 days and no more than 90 days, during which no interest or fees will be charged.
Furthermore, the company has absolute control over the funds and can use them for any purpose without having to provide any explanation to the client.
Mr. Yang frowned as he looked at the contract. He read it over and over again, and he could only see two words between the lines: robbery!
"It's a fund transfer, so it has to be written like this. Actually, this contract is just a formality. We need your authorization, and we hope you can understand. We'll open up this channel as soon as possible," Lu Feng said sincerely.
As Mr. Yang looked at the contract, two little voices were fighting in his mind. The rational voice told him that he couldn't sign the contract, because signing it would be like losing money. The other voice said that since he had already come to this point, it was better than mortgaging his entire fortune to fill the hole.
Let's take a gamble!
It's just ten thousand yuan, it's gone if it's gone, but what if it's real?
Seeing his hesitation, Lu Feng kept talking about his company and giving him hints, using Goldman Sachs as his backer and offering high returns to lure him in.
This contract was actually a trap set by Lu Feng. He needed to make these people trust him unconditionally so that they would eventually sign a huge contract.
Mr. Yang took a deep breath, and in an instant seemed to have made up his mind. He took the contract and signed his name.
"And here, sign your name, and leave your fingerprints!"
A few minutes later, after the contract was finalized, Lu Feng extended his hand to shake Mr. Yang's hand and said, "It's a pleasure doing business with you. Welcome to Goldman Sachs Investment, the world's largest investment event. Come on, let's have a toast!"
