Everyone knows that management salaries are high, but no one expected them to be this high. The companies recruiting here are all small factories, and even the general manager doesn't get much. There's a factory next door that's recruiting a marketing manager, and they're only paying 1,200 a month.
For job seekers applying to places like this, a salary of 1,500 yuan is already the ceiling. Finding talent with a monthly salary of over 5,000 yuan is like finding a needle in a haystack.
This is why so many people are so surprised.
Lu Feng shouted through a megaphone, "Anyone? Anyone who has been in charge of a relevant field is eligible."
"We're also looking for a general manager, in the cosmetics field. As long as you're capable, salary isn't a problem..." A woman with a rather shrill voice shouted loudly through a megaphone.
Jiang Xiaoyan hadn't expected there to be competition even when hiring someone. She glanced at Lu Feng, reached out and pulled him down, saying, "Come down, what kind of image does a big boss like you have standing on the table?"
Lu Feng turned his head to look at the woman next to him and deliberately shouted, "My salary is higher than hers!"
The woman seemed to be deliberately being sarcastic, shouting, "My salary is definitely higher than yours!"
Lu Feng sized up the woman. She was around thirty years old, dressed very smartly, and had a heroic air about her. She was clearly a woman who was not to be trifled with.
If Jiang Xiaoyan looks like a soft mink coat, then she is a cactus, prickly to the touch.
The woman also sized up Lu Feng. Her assessment of Lu Feng and his wife was that they were completely unsuitable for business. She could tell at a glance that Jiang Xiaoyan was the kind of person who was easily bullied because she was kind.
"We're hiring! Yanran Cosmetics Factory is looking for a general manager. Salary is not an issue."
“I’m also hiring, and Huasha Cosmetics Factory is also looking for a general manager. Paying her a higher salary won’t be a problem.”
Lu Feng picked up a megaphone and shouted, "There's a saying that goes, 'It's endlessly fun to argue with others. Arguing is the happiest thing in the world.'" Jiang Xiaoyan laughed from ear to ear.
"Stop arguing, it'll only lead to a fight."
The ordinary workers had already hauled away truckload after truckload. It was almost noon when Lu Feng bought a few baked buns from the doorway and packed three servings of freshly stir-fried dishes to go.
Whether or not they can recruit people is not important; what is important is the startup process. To put it bluntly, Lu Feng is just using the money to play along with Jiang Xiaoyan.
He didn't expect to find a general manager in this job market who could oversee a factory; that was unrealistic. People who had been general managers all had their own networks of contacts. They could leave one factory in the morning and go to work at another factory in the afternoon.
"This dish is quite delicious." Jiang Xiaoyan put a bite on Lu Feng's plate while eating and said, "The steamed buns are delicious too."
“Starting a business is all about living a life of hardship, eating whatever you can find. We’ve been through tough times together, haven’t we?” Lu Feng said, looking at her.
Several small business owners who were squatting on the ground eating nearby almost cried when they heard this. They were complaining about how hard it was to start their own businesses.
Two people are eating three hot dishes and two cold dishes. The plates and bowls on the table are almost overflowing. How can they complain about this?
The woman next to her, who was wearing bright red cosmetics, noticed that her subordinates kept glancing at Lu Feng. She glanced at them and almost cried out. Good heavens, there were three hot dishes and two cold dishes; they were practically waiting for someone to stand there and serve them their meal.
“Just eat your food. Look at them, do you think they’ll ever amount to anything? Let me tell you, if you want to be successful, you have to endure hardship. How can you succeed by just eating and drinking all the time?” the woman lectured.
"I'm just an employee," the employee said, glancing at his rice bowl.
“Not all employees are the same. Don’t just look at the present. Think long-term. What about three, five, or ten years from now? You’re envious of his hot and cold things now, but later he’ll envy your villa, your car, and your position as general manager. Fortune changes, you know?”
The little girl was stunned by what he said, as if the hardships she was enduring now would lead to a life of luxury tomorrow.
Lu Feng overheard a bit and looked at the female boss with some surprise. Her brainwashing skills were absolutely top-notch. She's not going to be an ordinary person in the future!
Around 3 p.m., a woman in her thirties walked in. She was wearing a business suit, high heels, and a black bag slung over her shoulder. Her hair was tied up, giving her a professional and capable look.
Compared to the laborers squatting by the wall in the talent hall waiting for work, she stood out conspicuously, clearly a talent at the leadership level.
The woman wandered around the various recruitment booths at the job market. Most of the positions were for factory workers, security guards, laborers, and skilled workers. There were very few management positions, or people who were out in the market.
The employers who were hiring her didn't greet her because of her outfit; they knew that a woman like that wasn't suited for their jobs.
After wandering around for a while, the woman stopped at a stall that advertised for a vice president, with salary negotiable.
"Department vice president or company vice president?" the woman asked.
The boss, a fat man in his forties, looked up and sized him up before saying, "Hey, the deputy general manager on assignment, we're from a plastics factory, making sewer pipes. Our main job is market expansion. The base salary is eight hundred yuan..."
The woman understood immediately upon hearing this; he was just a senior salesperson. Without saying anything more, she turned and left.
From her morning plans to her midday enthusiasm, Jiang Xiaoyan thought she had made a great start and was about to dominate the business world. However, after waiting for a long time, she couldn't recruit a single person and sat there yawning.
"Tired?" Lu Feng looked at her and smiled, saying, "Why don't you go back to eat and sleep?"
"What time is it? Didn't you say starting a business is tough?" Jiang Xiaoyan was reluctant to admit she was tired. She stood up and stretched, saying, "I grew up doing farm work. I'm not that delicate."
