Chapter 390 I'm Not a Thief

"We only have a few cents left, how are we going to survive!" The man's face was full of heartache.

"Let me see where it is. Everyone stay put and keep an eye on your belongings," a flight attendant said as she walked over.

Lu Feng saw the man diagonally opposite him return, seemingly having gone to the restroom.

The flight attendant checked the woven bag and found that it had been cut open, probably by tweezers or thread.

The woven bag was always placed in front of the elderly couple, and only Lu Feng and Bai Meihua, who were sitting opposite them, could get close to it.

"You two come here." The flight attendant called Lu Feng and Bai Meihua to the police station.

A male train police officer looked at Lu Feng and said, "Give me the money."

"I didn't steal it!" Lu Feng said helplessly. How did he end up being called a thief?

"What's your name?"

"Lu Feng!"

Where to?

Dongguan!

"Where are you going?"

"Discuss cooperation with municipal leaders!"

"Hmm?" The male police officer frowned slightly and said, "To be honest, you're not allowed to blow!"

"I'm not exaggerating. I had no choice but to take the train, and it was even a hard seat. I just went to the dining car to eat and chatted with your people for quite a while."

Lu Feng recounted everything in detail, and was searched again. They found no stolen money and had to let him go.

On the way back, Lu Feng was puzzled. How could it have been stolen? It was too amazing. He thought about how his aunt had always been the one holding her bag, and the only people who could have access to it were Lu Feng and Bai Meihua.

White plum blossoms?

Lu Feng covered his face with his hands, somewhat incredulous. She didn't look like that kind of person. But these days, there are all kinds of people. You can know a person's face but not their heart!

When Lu Feng returned to the carriage from the police station, he found that Bai Meihua had already returned. Everyone in the carriage was looking at him strangely, as if he were a thief.

The elderly couple cried until their eyes were red and sobbing, leaning against the wall. Lu Feng comforted them, saying, "Don't worry, we'll definitely find it before we get off the bus."

The flight attendant came in again and loudly reminded everyone to be careful with their belongings.

Bai Meihua looked at Lu Feng and whispered, "The train police told me to be careful, there are a lot of thieves here."

"Be careful tonight!" Lu Feng nodded.

At nine o'clock in the evening, the carriage fell silent again. Many people had covered themselves with their coats and gone to sleep. The aunt across from Lu Feng had offered to lend him a coat to cover himself with at night, but he was too heartbroken to do so now.

The wind blowing in from all directions was a bit chilly. Lu Feng pulled his suitcase over, opened it, and glanced inside. He was wearing short sleeves and could only put his hands in front of his chest. He drifted off to sleep.

Just as I was drifting off to sleep, I suddenly felt a warm blanket covering me. When I opened my eyes, I saw a floral coat draped over me.

"Did I wake you up?"

Lu Feng looked at the white plum blossoms beside him, the two of them sharing a coat, and smiled, saying, "It's quite warm, thank you. I'm going to the restroom."

Lu Feng stood up and looked across the street, only to find that the man was gone again. He glanced to the left and right, but didn't see anyone, so he stood up and walked towards the restroom.

Halfway there, the toilet door opened, and the man came out. When he saw Lu Feng, his eyes were somewhat gloomy. The two walked towards each other.

A middle-aged man was sitting in the third row, with a men's leather bag hanging around his neck, covered by his coat, and sleeping. His snoring was deafening.

The two of them had to step aside to make room for each other when they reached this spot. Lu Feng saw that he had stretched out his hand, which was holding a pair of matte-colored tweezers that were very long and sharp.

The tweezers cut a slit in the purse, reached inside, and pulled out a wallet.

Lu Feng reached out and patted his arm, then used the tweezers to push the wallet back in, simultaneously bumping into the sleeping man. The man quickly pulled his hand back, his eyes full of threat as he looked at Lu Feng.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye, and no one around noticed. Lu Feng walked towards the toilet, and the man followed.

As soon as Lu Feng entered the restroom, the other person followed closely behind, grabbed him by the neck, and pressed the tweezers in his hand against his chest.

"Do you want to die?" the man said menacingly. "Brother, you've crossed the line. You've messed with the business, do you understand?"

“I don’t understand what you’re saying.” Lu Feng looked at him and said, “Even thieves have their code of honor. You can’t steal money from poor people. Those old couple will have no way to survive after they get off the train.”

"You're really kind-hearted, aren't you? Why would someone as kind as you steal?" The man glared at Lu Feng and said fiercely, "Get out of here at the next stop and don't stay on my turf."

"What did you say? I stole that old couple's money?" Lu Feng asked incredulously.

"Who else could it be but you? Let me tell you, I've heard rumors these past few days that someone wants to take this line from me. We're all in this business, we all know a few people. Let me tell you, if you cause any more trouble, I'll chop your hand off!"

"I'm not a thief!" Lu Feng shook his head.

"You're not a thief? Then who is?" The man sneered, as if mocking Lu Feng, the thief, for not daring to admit it.
