Chapter 402 My name is Wang Gang

Ke Bing really couldn't find those two people. It was as if they had vanished into thin air. He tried every means to find them but couldn't. He attributed the reason he couldn't find them to Lu Feng hiding.

“Mr. Lu, there’s no point in talking like that.” Ke Bing threw his cigar into the ashtray, sat up straight, and said, “Either hand over the two people, or produce the ledger, or you’ll bear the consequences.”

Prince Hui and his group took a step forward. The man in the old leather jacket stared at Lu Feng with a fierce look in his eyes. He had wanted to deal with him on the train, but he didn't expect to have another chance after getting off the train.

As Lu Feng felt the water in the wooden tub cooling down, he looked at the scene and said, "If President Ke wants to take action, then go ahead. I came here today prepared to walk into the lion's den, but I don't want to be labeled a thief. I want to understand what happened. But I also hope you understand that I am not someone to be trifled with."

"Oh? You're an outsider, and you're all alone on my turf. Even if you call the police tomorrow morning, where's the evidence?" Ke Bing scratched his head and said darkly, "Good heavens, where's the ledger?"

"I'll say it one last time, there are no ledgers!" Lu Feng's voice already carried a hint of annoyance.

Ke Bing suddenly stood up, grabbed a bottle of red wine from the table, and smashed it on the corner of the table. With a crack, the bottle shattered. Holding the bottle neck, he pointed at Lu Feng and shouted, "You really think I'm easy to talk to? You've got some nerve, haven't you? Let me tell you, if you don't produce the account book, you'll be carried out tomorrow."

“You decide how I get out. I’m here to be fish on the chopping block, at your mercy. You do the first day, I’ll do the fifteenth,” Lu Feng said, staring at him.

Prince Hui took two steps forward and grabbed Lu Feng's clothes, about to pull him away. Several people in old leather jackets also stepped forward. A beating was inevitable. Ke Bing had been driven crazy these past few days. He couldn't live without the account book for 24 hours a day.

Before they could drag Lu Feng away, the door was suddenly opened, and a thug rushed in, panting heavily, saying, "Mr. Liang... the police are here to arrest someone."

"What?" Prince Hui abruptly released Lu Feng and turned around to ask, "Why are you arresting him? Tell him we are..."

"We've said everything we need to say. They've declared that even if it were the King of Heaven himself, we'd arrest them today. Those who were released this morning have been brought back. The brothers are starting to panic!"

Ke Bing looked at Lu Feng, who sat there calmly and composedly, without a trace of panic on his face, as if he had everything under control, especially given what had just happened.

Ke Bing didn't take Lu Feng seriously at all. At this moment, no matter how much money Lu Feng had or how big his company was, it was all useless here. He wasn't afraid of Lu Feng, but he was afraid of He Jiale!

Upon further reflection, Ke Bing realized that Lu Feng's earlier statement, "He came here to be fish on the chopping block," made him increasingly suspicious. He thought that Lu Feng had come here to be beaten, and that if he made a move, he would definitely be arrested and interrogated upon returning.

Ke Bing stared at Lu Feng with a look of suspicion and uncertainty. Lu Feng stared back at him without fear. Since he was already in a difficult situation, he might as well make things clear quickly and not delay his trip to Shenzhen to renegotiate.

Lu Feng really didn't expect that just arresting a few people would cause Ke Bing such complicated thoughts. He had seen many such situations before and was mentally prepared that he would at most get a beating.

If he really gets beaten up, he can't run away. He Jiale is now going crazy trying to find fault with him. Isn't he just walking into the line of fire?

"It's alright, just cooperate with their work and go ahead," Ke Bing instructed.

"Huh?" The man didn't expect this reply. He thought that President Ke would send him back the way he came with just one phone call. He was a little embarrassed: "President Ke, why don't you make a phone call?"

"Fuck your phone! Get lost!!"

Ke Bing cursed twice. He had been getting yelled at by the phone these past two days. Why would he call them over something so trivial? Wasn't he just asking for a beating?

After the man left, Ke Bing looked at Lu Feng and his expression suddenly changed. He smiled and became exceptionally kind and amiable. He casually tossed the broken wine bottle into the trash can and said, "I'm sorry to have made you laugh, Mr. Lu."

Seeing such a big change in him, Lu Feng was a little puzzled, but it was naturally best that he could talk to him properly.

"Mr. Ke, I'll say it one last time: I don't know those two people, and the ledger isn't with me. If you try to take advantage of me, you'll end up with nothing." Lu Feng lifted his foot, and a waiter wiped it for him.

“I understand, I understand. We’re friends, and familiarity breeds contempt. I can see that Mr. Lu is a very easy friend to get along with. Today, I’ll treat you to a song!” Ke Bing said to Manager Bai beside him, “Call the people in.”

Manager Bai walked out in high heels and came back in a short while later, followed by a dozen long-legged girls who stood in a row in front of her.

Lu Feng had no time to ponder these things. He couldn't get too caught up in the ledgers. He should ask more about the factory. He could tell that things were out of control. The word "ledger" itself indicated that things had gotten serious.

This is not a business confrontation at all, and Lu Feng doesn't want to get involved in this mess. He'll make things clear with Ke Bing today and then find a chance to leave.

A row of girls had already lined up and started greeting Lu Feng.

"Good evening, boss. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm number one, and my name is Nana."

"I am number two, my name is Ya Ya."

"I am number three, and my name is Qianqian."

Their voices were all incredibly sweet, each one more charming than the last, with a variety of coquettish tones that stirred the imagination.

This was perfectly normal in this situation. Lu Feng didn't even look up, and Ke Bing sat to the side without looking either, both of them preoccupied with other things.
