The next day, Jiang Xiaoyan woke up at nine o'clock in the morning and called the factory to say that she would not be going there for the next few days. Breakfast was laid out on the table.
Duoduo laid out all her dolls, and there were a few little girls next to her, who didn't know who they were. The little ones sat there playing house with a bunch of dolls.
Lu Feng went downstairs and looked at his home. It was peaceful and warm. The TV was on, playing commercials. No one was watching, but the sound from the TV was needed as background music.
"Let's eat first. Didn't we say we were going to attend the electronics conference this afternoon?" Jiang Xiaoyan asked Lu Feng.
"I know, it's just a conference, nothing special. Don't take it too seriously. It's just a bunch of entrepreneurs arguing." Lu Feng sat down to eat, watching the TV intentionally or unintentionally.
Before Lu Feng arrived, the electronics conference wasn't a place for entrepreneurs to argue; it was more like a big gathering. But since Lu Feng came, the conference has become incredibly interesting.
New Year's greetings advertisements are playing on TV. Local TV ads are very cheap these days, and some small businesses will even have their employees film New Year's greeting videos.
"You should also make one of these New Year's greeting ads, so you can become a familiar face in the local area," Lu Feng said while eating.
"It's useless," Jiang Xiaoyan said without looking up.
After the previous advertisement finished playing, a young man dressed in red and green came out, cupped his hands and said, "Hello everyone, I am Guanwai Xifeng. I wish you all a Happy New Year and may the New Year bring you great prosperity..."
"What is this 'Westerly Wind Beyond the Pass' thing?" Jiang Xiaoyan glanced at the TV and said, "Local TV stations rarely watch, and anyone can go on to give New Year's greetings, so people can't remember them at all."
"You know what, this thing looks... kind of interesting!" Lu Feng clicked his tongue while looking at the TV and said with a smile, "It didn't say what he does or what company he works for."
"I heard he's a writer. I've seen him in magazines before," Jiang Xiaoyan said casually.
“This kind of author is the most despicable. He writes whatever readers want to read. If his writing doesn’t suit your taste, you can criticize him. Once you criticize him, he’ll behave.” Lu Feng chuckled and said, “You can do anything, just don’t write novels…”
"Let's not talk about this anymore. Where are you going for the New Year?" Jiang Xiaoyan asked.
Lu Feng really didn't want to go back, but he could also tell that Jiang Xiaoyan wanted to go back.
“There’s a lot going on at the company during the Chinese New Year, and you also have a factory,” Lu Feng said, looking down as he ate.
“My factory will be shut down in a few days. Go back home. It’s been a year since we last saw each other. Your parents miss you a lot. As for those relatives, they’re too busy flattering you to worry about anything.” Jiang Xiaoyan sighed and said, “I’ve already talked to your parents. We’ll be spending this year at your home.”
Since they had already acted first and informed him later, he had no choice but to agree. Lu Feng didn't want to go to Jiang Xiaoyan's house because her two older brothers were really annoying, but he didn't want to go back to his own house.
The main reason was that she didn't have much affection for Lu Feng's parents, and when she stood in front of them, she felt a little lost in the face of their intense gaze.
I stayed home in the morning, playing house with Duo Duo. The key point is that Lu Feng played the son, and Duo Duo and a few little girls from next door were all his mothers.
Being a father to this extent is truly amazing.
At 2 p.m., the annual electronics convention was held as scheduled. All local media followed the opening ceremony, and some well-known private entrepreneurs were also invited.
They originally wanted Lu Feng to appear at the opening ceremony, but Lu Feng refused, saying that he was now just a target and everyone wanted to take advantage of him.
Around 3 PM, Lu Feng's car stopped at the entrance of the venue. There were four people present today: Lu Feng, Zhu Lidong, Zhang Fengxia, and Feng Zhiyao.
As soon as he got out of the car, he was surrounded by a bunch of reporters who bombarded him with questions. Fortunately, the security guards on site were quite professional and escorted Lu Feng into the venue.
This year's event will primarily be held in a large venue, inviting entrepreneurs to give speeches and debate, outlining their perspectives on future development.
The venue was already packed with people, numbering in the hundreds. In the first row, there was still an empty seat behind Lu Feng's name tag, next to Li Quanliang of Changhong. Further to the left was Mr. Zheng, the CEO of Dejin and Desheng, who was attending for the first time this year.
These people were all competitors, but now they were sitting together, all looking at Lu Feng's position, while the host on stage began to give his opening remarks.
"Although Mr. Lu from Jiafeng Electronics hasn't arrived yet, probably due to some last-minute matters, let's start. It's that time of year again—the annual electronics conference..."
Several security guards cleared the way, and Lu Feng strode in.
"Mr. Lu is here." The host breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Lu Feng, as the organizers had been trying to contact him repeatedly.
As soon as the announcement "President Lu is here," everyone in the room turned around to look. Under everyone's gaze, Lu Feng walked towards the first row, stood in his seat, and glanced at Li Quanliang.
The other person stared at Lu Feng and said, "I thought you didn't dare to come."
"Me?" Lu Feng's smile was somewhat forced. He said, "If Sun Yuanqing were here, I would really have to consider it. As for you?"
The smile on Li Quanliang's face vanished instantly, and he sat there with a cold expression.
"Mr. Lu is so young!" said Mr. Zheng, who was standing next to Lu Feng, looking him up and down.
"Who are you?" Lu Feng asked, looking at him.
"The owner of Desheng and Dejin is surnamed Zheng!" General Manager Zheng smiled and extended his hand.
Lu Feng shook hands with him, but as soon as they touched, he felt a tremendous force in his palm. He frowned and squeezed back hard.
The two shook hands for about ten seconds before separating, both palms turning red.
