Chapter 466 Believers

Zhu Lidong and Zhang Fengxia exchanged a glance. They dared not interfere in the company's macro-level planning, and more importantly, they didn't know how. They couldn't understand what Lu Feng was doing.

“Mr. Feng, you are an investor. Every company is different.” Zhu Lidong walked up to him and said, “It’s not that we don’t want to oppose him, or that we don’t want to have a meeting to discuss it, it’s just that it’s unnecessary.”

“Why not? The bigger the company, the more every decision affects the company’s direction. The more necessary it is to have a thorough discussion before reaching a conclusion. This is the way large companies survive. That’s how those century-old companies have all come to be.” Feng Zhiyao said somewhat unconvinced.

“That’s what we thought at the beginning too. I’ve also studied corporate management and things like shareholder systems,” Zhang Fengxia said. “The problem is, he’s always right. His decisions have never been wrong.”

Never missed a beat?

The first thought that popped into Feng Zhiyao's mind was, "Impossible, absolutely impossible!"

Zhang Fengxia knew Feng Zhiyao best; he was just like her back then. She had learned a lot about business models in school and thought that everything she knew was correct. But then she met Lu Feng, who destroyed everything she had learned over the past ten years, leaving not a trace.

“Just stay by his side. It won’t be long before you become his follower.” Zhang Fengxia glanced at her watch and said, “I’ve prepared a car for you. Get to the hotel and rest early.”

believer?

Feng Zhiyao scoffed with such disdain that he, a graduate of a prestigious university, would become a believer for someone who hadn't even finished elementary school?

Isn't this ridiculous?

Little did he know that years later, what he would boast about most was, "I met President Lu right after I graduated!"

When he got home, it was almost 10 p.m. Jiang Xiaoyan knew he was coming home late and had already gone to bed. Lu Feng took a shower and sat in the living room smoking.

"You're back?" Jiang Xiaoyan came down from the second floor.

"Weren't you asleep?" Lu Feng asked.

"I knew it was you when I heard you make a sound. You must have had quite a few drinks. I made you some porridge, but it's probably a bit cold now, so I'll heat it up for you." Jiang Xiaoyan said as she headed into the kitchen.

"Don't heat it up, I don't want to drink it!" Lu Feng said hurriedly.

"Can your stomach handle drinking so much? This is good for your stomach." Jiang Xiaoyan busied herself with her work, muttering to herself, "Drink less, and if you can't drink, just avoid it. Besides, with a boss like you, who would dare to force you to drink?"

Lu Feng found a small stool, sat in the kitchen, and watched her chatter on and on, chuckling as he stared at her pretty face.

What are you grinning about?

"You still have to find a good-looking wife. Even when she's cursing, she's so charming," Lu Feng flattered.

"You don't even know how to compliment someone properly. Go outside and wait, it'll be warmed up for you right away."

"No way!" Lu Feng pulled up a small stool, sat forward a bit, hugged her thighs with both hands, and rolled around with his head against her buttocks.

"You...you really...did I fart?!" Jiang Xiaoyan was both amused and exasperated by his behavior, and couldn't help but say, "You're such a big boss, and you're just farting after a few drinks?"

After warming the porridge, the two sat in the living room. Lu Feng drank the porridge, and outside the French windows, they could see the dark sea horizon, with moonlight shining on it and occasionally reflecting a silvery light.

"When are you going back?" Lu Feng asked without looking up.

"We'll celebrate the New Year on the 22nd, and go back around the 10th," Jiang Xiaoyan calculated.

"It's too early, let's do it on the 20th."

“I’ve already bought the plane tickets for the 18th. Your parents moved to a new house this year. Last year I told them to move to a small villa. Those old staff dormitories are no good, they’re too crowded. I gave them some money, and they moved into a small villa this year.” Jiang Xiaoyan looked at Lu Feng and tentatively said, “I also gave my parents some money so they can move to a better house.”

"Sure, no need to tell me. My money is your money," Lu Feng said casually.

Lu Feng knew that Jiang Xiaoyan was hesitant to give money to her family, fearing that he would think she was secretly using her family's money to subsidize them. As long as Lu Feng didn't have to face her two older brothers directly, spending a little money was no big deal.

“I think you’re particularly understanding right now,” Jiang Xiaoyan said with a smile.

"Come on, give me a kiss!" Lu Feng turned his face to the side.

Jiang Xiaoyan leaned over, took a sip, and immediately felt embarrassed. She stood up and said, "Let's rest after we've finished drinking."

Lu Feng stood up and said, "You go to sleep first. I'm going out for some fresh air. I'm feeling a bit unsettled. I had a little to drink and can't sleep."

Jiang Xiaoyan was somewhat reluctant, but Lu Feng pushed her upstairs and sat on a recliner in front of the villa. In the quiet of the night, it was all his own time.
