Chapter 5 is all about deception.

Zhou Jianguo felt sullen the whole way. He never thought that he would be tricked by Lu Feng. He was too proud to show it, so he could only sulk.

At the entrance of the video arcade, Lu Feng had his arm around Sun Longbin's shoulder affectionately. These guys were all simple and honest, and Lu Feng, being an old hand, knew exactly what they wanted to hear.

In less than twenty minutes, his relationship with Sun Longbin improved rapidly. Taking advantage of his drunkenness, Sun Longbin patted his chest and said, "Brother Feng, it's worth it to have you as a brother. If you need anything from me, just let me know."

"Binzi, your dad is the village chief, right?"

"yes!"

"Does your village have any fruit trees?" Lu Feng asked, looking at him.

“Yes, our village has lots of fruit trees, they’re everywhere on the hillsides.” Sun Longbin stared at Lu Feng and asked, “Brother Feng, what do you mean?”

"I'm thinking of getting some fruit!"

“It’s no big deal. What do you want to eat? Just tell me, and I’ll get you half a sack.” Sun Longbin was exceptionally generous.

"You're asking for a lot. I'll buy it. You go back and ask your dad to prepare some for me. Any kind of fruit will do." Lu Feng didn't say much more and stepped into the video arcade.

Video arcades and arcade games were definitely the trendiest things, and it was also the first time that Hong Kong films entered the mainland market. Combined with ice rinks, they were definitely a holy place for couples to go on dates, and also a gathering place for young gangsters.

In a few years, DVDs and VCDs will replace video arcades, and game arcades and internet cafes will begin to gain favor among young people. After that, mobile phones and the internet will explode. Lu Feng once did a business projection for the 1980s and 1990s.

Every new technology that emerges creates a new batch of millionaires. Behind all this is not only technological iteration, but also talent iteration. Lu Feng also wants to directly enter the 'high-tech' industry that will explode in a few years, such as DVD players and Walkmans.

Unfortunately, he was as poor as a ghost. Now he only had one goal: to get this small cannery up and running. Lu Feng's mind was not on the movie.

It wasn't about those alluring girls in the dim light!

There's not much money in rural areas nowadays. People exchange grain for goods and then sell the grain to local grain stations. Even if Lu Feng provides a free venue, he can lends out fruit on credit, process it into canned goods, and exchange it for grain from the rural areas. If the grain station can't let him convert the fruit into cash, the cash flow will break down.

Lu Feng, who has been in business for many years, knows all too well how fatal it is to have a long capital recovery cycle!

Lu Feng had to win over the local grain station manager to convert the grain into cash as quickly as possible. He had no interest in watching the movie anymore. He turned to look at Da Tou next to him, who was the most honest-looking one among them.

"Brother Feng, why are you looking at me? Are you watching a movie?" Big Head asked, puzzled.

"Big Head, come on, come with me outside." Lu Feng patted Big Head on the shoulder, stood up, and walked out.

Just as they reached the entrance, the ticket girl stopped them and said, "Five cents each!"

"The guy who came with us will pay the bill." Lu Feng pointed to Zhou Jianguo sitting in the front row, chatting enthusiastically with two young girls: "He'll pay!"

After leaving the video arcade, Da Tou asked, "Brother Feng, what's up? We'll have to spend money to go back in."

"I know, take me to the grain bureau!" Lu Feng said as he walked towards his bicycle.

"What are you going to the grain bureau for?" Big Head was a little unhappy about being disturbed from watching the movie, and muttered, "Why don't you ask Brother Zhou or Brother Bin to take you there? They have motorcycles, but I have to pedal."

"Stop talking nonsense and hurry up!" Lu Feng sat back and fell to the ground, causing the back seat to fall off as well.

"My back seat is broken, you'll sit on the crossbar!"

Lu Feng sat on the crossbar, while Da Tou rode the bicycle. Their posture was somewhat ambiguous. Lu Feng could see Da Tou's head if he turned his head, so he quickly turned back to avoid looking.

Lu Feng was nicknamed "Big Head" because he was honest and simple-minded and didn't overthink things. If Zhou Jianguo and Sun Longbin were to take him there, he was afraid the two of them would figure something out.

Halfway there, Lu Feng suddenly said, "Let's go back to my house first!"

Da Tou was very dissatisfied, but he still rode towards Lu Feng's house. When he got home, the first thing Lu Feng did was to find the suit he wore at his wedding.

Putting on leather shoes, tucking a bag under his armpit, and fixing his hair, Lu Feng looked at his somewhat stylish reflection in the mirror, took a deep breath, and muttered to himself, "When you're broke, you have to cheat to get things done!"

I had just stepped out the door and taken a few steps when I heard a pretty woman's voice behind me.

"Lu Feng? Where are you going?"

Lu Feng turned around and saw a woman wearing a floral dress. She was about 1.65 meters tall, around 26 or 27 years old, and had an average appearance, but she had an indescribable flirtatious air about her.

The woman's name was He Yanli. She also lived on this floor and was a widow. Although it is said that widows often have a lot of gossip around them, hers was particularly plagued by gossip.

"I need to take care of something. Sister He, you didn't go to the factory?" Lu Feng asked politely.

"Don't call me Sister He, you're too formal. You looked really dashing last night. Judging from your outfit, you look like you're about to do something big." He Yanli smiled like a nightmare.

Lu Feng exchanged a few polite words, not wanting to get entangled with her any further. He figured any man on this floor who spoke to her would inevitably end up in a fight with his wife.

After going downstairs, Da Tou was dumbfounded when he saw Lu Feng's demeanor and asked, "Brother Feng, where are you going?"

"From now on, don't call me Brother Feng, call me Young Master, understand?"

"Huh? Why?"

"Why so many reasons? Just call!"

Big Head was a little confused, but he still called out, and Lu Feng sat on the crossbeam and sped off towards the grain bureau.

At the entrance of the grain bureau, Lu Feng straightened his clothes, confirmed with Da Tou again, and stepped inside. As soon as he entered, he saw two people playing ping-pong.
