Lu Feng had already gone downstairs. As soon as he got here, he saw the honest guy from before carrying a water cup and walking silently toward the water station.
"Where are you going?" Lu Feng stopped him.
He looked up and glanced at it, then said in a muffled voice, "Fetch water."
"Who are you fetching water for this time?"
Seeing that Lu Feng had returned without President Liu by his side, Liu Tianpeng felt emboldened and asked, "You're still here? Are you trying to cause trouble?"
"Get you some water?" Lu Feng was speechless and said irritably, "Are you a water bucket? Keep drinking water?"
"None of your business. Didn't you call yourself the CEO of Jiafeng? Didn't you go to see my uncle?" Liu Tianpeng sneered. "What? You went to the office door and came back? Don't tell me my uncle is in a meeting and you can deal with me later. I can't wait to be dealt with. I want to be dealt with now. If you don't have the ability, then get lost!"
Before Lu Feng could speak, Liu Cheng rushed over. When the others saw that President Liu had actually come to the internship department, they all stood up hurriedly, looking a little confused. Why did he actually come?
Liu Tianpeng stood up, already sensing that things were getting out of his control. He still had a sliver of hope: that President Liu was just there for a quick look, that he was too busy to care about a group of interns, and that after President Liu left, he could explain it away by saying that his uncle didn't allow him to reveal his identity at the company.
However, his fantasy was shattered the next second. Liu Cheng said to him, "Can't wait to be punished? You have this kind of hobby?"
"President Liu, I... I was just kidding. You have time to come here for an inspection today?" Liu Tianpeng's eyes darted around as he glanced at Lu Feng and said, "This guy doesn't have an employee badge, yet he comes in asking all sorts of questions. My name is Liu Tianpeng, and I'm from the Talent Center..."
"Stop, stop, stop!" Lu Feng interrupted him, asking, "I have two questions for you. One is why did you ask someone to fetch water? You said Liu Cheng is your uncle?"
"I...I didn't say that." Liu Tianpeng looked confused, as if he had been wronged. He said, "I remember now. I met President Liu a while ago. He looks like my uncle. They misunderstood and thought President Liu was my uncle. As for fetching water, it was just helping each other out. I helped them too."
Lu Feng stared at Liu Tianpeng, whose face was full of slickness. Actually, Lu Feng didn't dislike him. Some people are just in the wrong place.
He's tactful and adept at using his position to pressure others; he could easily be put in the marketing department to expand sales channels or do other frontline work. But he made one mistake.
When facing Lu Feng and Liu Cheng, he still used tact to handle things. Liu Cheng said he was like Lu Feng, and Lu Feng had just thought they were somewhat similar.
However, at this moment, Lu Feng felt that the two were worlds apart. If Lu Feng were facing a leader who was too powerful for him to resist, he would simply admit everything frankly.
When dealing with opponents, one needs to be tactful and difficult; when dealing with subordinates, one needs to have control and a sense of responsibility. Only in this way can one win over subordinates. When dealing with superiors, there is no better choice than to be honest.
Being slick and insincere with superiors will only make them think you're unreliable, a slacker, and impossible to control.
Liu Cheng smiled and asked everyone, "You've all been here for a while now, haven't you? How do you feel about the company? You should have a good idea of which projects you think are suitable for, right?"
"President Liu, I'd like to stay here, or perhaps be sent abroad to a collaborative research lab."
"I also feel that I belong here."
“I am very interested in the recent signal compilation project.”
Everyone was talking at once, and they were basically all looking for lucrative projects. Not a single person wanted to go to a research institute. Most people wanted to work in international collaborative labs, starting with the United States, then Europe, and if that didn't work, Japan.
Looking at these people, Lu Feng had always held a sense of awe for scientific research, or rather, scientists held a high position and high moral character in his heart.
They believe these people have high ideals and aspirations, but reality is different from their imagination. Making money and personal prospects are their top priorities, while research and development are nowhere to be seen.
This two-way selection mechanism for interns will only cause talent to flow to comfortable positions. No one is willing to truly dedicate themselves to research and development. As I said before, Tesla is just a minority, while Edison is the majority!
"I...I want to go to the research institute," a hesitant voice said.
Lu Feng glanced around and realized that the one who had spoken was the honest-looking man. He asked, "Why do you want to go to the research institute?"
"There are few people." He was sparing with his words.
"You like R&D?" Lu Feng looked at him with shining eyes.
“No, it’s because I don’t have to interact with people or talk,” he explained.
Lu Feng nodded, realizing that this person had a severe case of social anxiety.
After chatting with the group for a few minutes, Liu Cheng introduced them to everyone: "Let me introduce you, this is Mr. Lu, the chairman of Jiafeng Electronics!"
"Hello, Mr. Lu!"
The voices of those who had spoken rudely to Lu Feng earlier were unusually weak; they didn't dare to look at Lu Feng at all. Liu Tianpeng was very shrewd. If such a big boss really wanted to deal with him, he would have done so long ago. Standing here and saying so many polite words, it was clear that the matter was over.
"Hello, Mr. Lu. I didn't know it was you just now. There was a misunderstanding." Liu Tianpeng explained with a smile, "I like to joke around, please don't mind."
“Young people are normal, but you can’t mention that your uncle is President Liu,” Lu Feng said.
"It's just a joke, nobody believes it." Liu Tianpeng's face was almost frozen from smiling.
