Chapter 637 Serving Tea to President Lu

Yang Yan had been observing the situation at Jiafeng Electronics. He felt as if he were dying working there, a case of "better to die for your fellow Daoists than for me."

Since things had escalated to this point, he felt that if he told Lu Feng he was leaving, Lu Feng would understand.

When Lu Feng heard that he actually wanted to leave at this critical juncture, he became a little unhappy and said, "President Liu, I've been a bit busy lately. You're always so hesitant and indecisive. What's going on?"

“President Lu, I’ve been here for a while now. Jinfeng Logistics has completed its personnel integration, and most of the management personnel in each department are in place. If I stay any longer, I’ll practically become the head of Jinfeng Logistics.” Yang Yan said with a somewhat embarrassed expression.

"Have you been listening to some rumors?" Lu Feng looked at him and said, "Don't listen to nonsense. Did someone tell you that Jiafeng Electronics is going to go bankrupt?"

Yang Yan could tell that Lu Feng didn't want to let him go, so he sighed and simply laid it all out: "President Lu, since ancient times, the common people have never fought against the officials. Given the current situation, I don't have a good outlook on things."

"Stop, stop, stop. Since you also think I'm not good enough, then you can sit tight and watch. It won't stop you from going to work at that company. I'm going to let you see right how I turn defeat into victory. Do you have anything else to say?"

"there is none left!"

Lu Feng stood up and said to him, "President Yang, you understand the principle of 'doing your job well,' right? I hope you can manage Jinfeng Logistics well, and leave the rest to me."

Yang Yan nodded, his face full of worry. He stood up and left, sighing as he went out the door. He had no confidence that Lu Feng could bring down the Hao brothers.

Now all we can do is wait.

Yang Yan shared the same thoughts as many other people in the local business community. This time was different from before; Huang Youwei was no longer supporting him. No matter how powerful Lu Feng was in the city, he couldn't withstand a single word from his superiors.

Around 3 p.m., Zhang Fengxia came in with a stack of papers, placed them on the table, and said, "But this has nothing to do with me. What should be printed on it?"

Lu Feng glanced at it and had to admit it was really professional, just like the real thing.

He took the prepared manuscript from the drawer and placed it on the table. The title was: "On the Serious Handling of Issues Related to Comrade Di Mingde (Internal Secret Document)".

Zhang Fengxia picked it up, glanced at it, and said with a smile, "Pretty professional indeed!"

"Print these out. Have you found Hao Zhiping's phone number yet?" Lu Feng asked.

"Here it is!" Zhang Fengxia handed over a piece of paper.

Lu Feng nodded and dialed the number on the form. Hao Zhiping was sitting in his office. He knew everything that had happened that day and could only sigh that he probably would never have the chance to get rid of Hao Zhihai in his lifetime.

Just as I finished my remark, the phone rang. I answered, "Who is this?"

"It's me, Lu Feng!"

Without saying a word, Hao Zhiping hung up the phone.

Hearing the phone call end, Lu Feng called back. Upon hearing Lu Feng's voice, the other party didn't say anything and hung up immediately.

For Hao Zhiping, the person he least wanted to see right now was Lu Feng. If his older brother found out that he had been in contact with him, he could forget about working in the logistics industry; who knows what kind of treatment he would receive.

Lu Feng made seven or eight calls in a row, but the other party didn't give him a chance to speak at all.

Lu Feng understood that the other party didn't want to have any contact with him at this time. After thinking for a while, he thought of Hong Xing. When he talked to Hong Xing last time, she told him that she went to Tianlang Ballroom every day.

Half an hour later, Lu Feng finished organizing the documents and put them into a briefcase. He then instructed Zhang Fengxia, "Go back and tell Xiaoyan that we won't be home for dinner tonight."

"Where are you going?" Zhang Fengxia asked, puzzled.

"Let's go to the dance hall!"

As evening approached, people came and went at the entrance of Tianlang Ballroom. It was a perfect time to escape the summer heat, and some girls, dressed in light clothing, walked into the ballroom with smiles on their faces, arm in arm with men.

Lu Feng parked his car on the side of the road for less than ten minutes, and three or four girls came up to chat him up. Lu Feng was getting annoyed with refusing them all, and his eyes kept scanning the crowd.

A moment later, Hongxing walked towards them in high heels, swaying gracefully. She was incredibly charming, and the men on the street were staring at her fiercely, as if they wanted to pop their eyes out.

"Hongxing'er!" Lu Feng called out as he got out of the car.

Hongxing looked in the direction of the voice, and when she saw Lu Feng, she was overjoyed and smiled. She stepped forward and said, "Mr. Lu, did you come here specifically to wait for me?"

"Otherwise what?" Lu Feng smiled at her and said, "I've been busy with mundane matters the past few days and have been quite irritable. Don't mind me."

"How could that be?" Hongxing was selective about who she was talking to. She wouldn't mind if it was someone poor, but she would mind a lot if it were someone penniless. She said to Lu Feng, "Go in and dance for a while?"

Lu Feng leaned against the car, looking her over, and said, "How about we go to your place?"

"Huh?" Hongxing didn't expect things to progress so quickly. A blush, which was unusual for her, appeared on her face as she said, "This is progressing way too fast!"

"The times are moving forward at an accelerated pace. Get in the car, I have something to tell you." Lu Feng said as he opened the car door and got into the driver's seat.

Hongxing swayed as she sat in the passenger seat, while several men squatting by the roadside smoking looked on with envy and resentment.

"Damn rich people!"

"Pah, so what if you have money?"

"Wait until I strike it rich someday."

"Don't worry, we brothers are destined to make a fortune in the future."

Sitting in the car, Lu Feng asked Hong Xing, "Can you call Hao Zhiping out?"
