Lu Feng parked his car on the side of the road and walked into the alley. The barking of dogs could be heard from time to time in the distance. The lights in the surrounding houses were all off, except for the lights in the direction of his own house.
When I got home, I saw Aunt Liu still sitting there, seemingly unaware that Lu Feng had returned.
"Go to sleep if you're tired." Lu Feng looked at her and said, "Didn't I already say that I don't need to leave any food for you if I come back late? You should get some rest too."

Lu Feng also sensed her unusual behavior and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Is there something you want to tell me? Aunt Liu, if you feel there's anything wrong with the house, or if you feel wronged, just say it. Although you're a housekeeper, in Xiaoyan's and my eyes, you're an elder. Don't be too distant."
"No, everything's fine." Aunt Liu took a deep breath and said, "Um... Mr. Jiang isn't here, he's gone out."

Lu Feng tried to contact her, but Zhang Fengxia didn't have a pager or a mobile phone, so he couldn't reach her at all. Besides, they were both adults, so nothing serious was likely to happen.
The phone rang at home, and Lu Feng answered it casually, saying, "Who is it?"
“It’s me, Fengxia. You just got home?” Zhang Fengxia asked.
"Where did you take my wife? It's the middle of the night." Lu Feng asked, puzzled. "She's pregnant."
"I know, we were chatting today and the topic of staying in a hotel came up, so I drove her out to get something to eat and we strolled around the night market. Now we're staying at a hotel," Zhang Fengxia said casually.
"Stay in a hotel?" Lu Feng said speechlessly, "What kind of nonsense is this?"
"Oh, you don't understand, two women going crazy together. By the way, I need to ask you for leave. I'm not going to work tomorrow. I had a blast tonight, and I'm going to have fun for a few days." Zhang Fengxia said firmly, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.
"Ask for leave?"
Lu Feng felt that she was acting very strangely. She had been working diligently for the past two years, and it was impossible for her to take leave just because she was having fun.
However, Lu Feng couldn't say anything, so he could only say, "Okay, don't take her drinking, come back tomorrow."

Jiang Xiaoyan couldn't hear anything at that moment. She didn't dare to think about how to face Lu Feng's parents, and she didn't dare to think about everything she would have to face after returning to her hometown.

“I told him we’re out having fun, so you should take care of yourself. When we get back, it’ll be a new day. I know him well; he’ll only care about you.” Zhang Fengxia held Jiang Xiaoyan’s hand tightly and asked, “Don’t do anything foolish, okay?”

Zhang Fengxia whispered a lot in her ear, telling her that this is a new era and that she cannot live in the old-fashioned thinking of the past. She also said that women can choose not to have children, and that marriage should be based on love, not on having children.
