Chapter 66 The Show Begins

This was the most peaceful time the two had sat down together in the past year; the rest of the time, they were basically fighting.

"Where did you meet them from?" Qian Zhongnan asked with some suspicion.

“My friend slept with him. He called me a few days ago and mentioned it. I met him two years ago when I went on a business trip to the south!” Bai Yuanfang said frankly.

Qian Zhongnan thought for a moment and asked, "Have you slept with him?"

"You still care about this?" Bai Yuanfang said dismissively.

“What I’m trying to say is, if you’ve slept with someone, this matter will be even more secure. White Rabbit is such a big group with a huge market. You should quickly fix your face and get things done.” Qian Zhongnan stood up and said, “If it works out, I’ll lend you three million, even if it’s just a loan.”

Bai Yuanfang looked at the cigarettes on the table, picked one up and took a smoke. It was a bit choking. She thought the other person still cared, that he still cared about this family, at least about the children. For a moment, a fire ignited in her heart, but it was extinguished completely.

"snort!"

Bai Yuanfang sneered, a hint of determination in his eyes. He took a deep drag on his cigarette, coughing repeatedly, but finished it nonetheless. He stood up and walked out of the private room without looking back.

Lu Feng glanced at the time on the wall; it was already 11 p.m. He organized his thoughts and decided to use the high profits of the White Rabbit Group to lure Qian Zhongnan into giving up his company shares. In order to gain greater cooperation, Qian Zhongnan would definitely make concessions.

The door opened, and Bai Yuanfang walked in carrying a bag. Lu Feng looked at her and felt that she seemed to have become somewhat cold. Lu Feng asked, "How did it go?"

"That's great!" Bai Yuanfang walked to the coffee table, threw her bag on it, plopped down next to Lu Feng, and suddenly threw herself into his arms, whispering, "Don't you think all men are heartless?"

Lu Feng was a little flustered by her and said, "No, I'm just trying to help you."

"You're so good to me. If only I had met you a few years earlier, I would have known we were a perfect match from the first moment I saw you." Bai Yuanfang's voice was gentle, but suddenly turned cold: "I want him dead, I want his family destroyed, I want him to have nothing left."

The hatred that came from the depths of her heart sent a chill down Lu Feng's spine. He reached out and put his arm around her back, saying, "Take it slow, get some rest. We'll prepare tomorrow, and then we'll make our move the day after."

"You won't lie to me, right?" Bai Yuanfang's eyes sparkled. She longed for sincerity. She had been lied to too many times. She had been beaten black and blue and had witnessed all the ugliness. When he asked her with concern if she had slept with someone else, her heart still burned with warmth. She desperately craved sincerity.

Lu Feng looked at her; this habitual liar had actually stumbled over his words this time.

While she was still in a daze, Bai Yuanfang wrapped her arms around Lu Feng's neck and kissed him, trying to find his lips, and murmured, "I know you're a college student. I didn't go to school much, but I'm a good person. I'll buy you anything you want."

Lu Feng turned his head, her red lips brushing against his face. He thought to himself, "How bored she must be without the internet now. If this were thirty years from now, and she made a short video, the first comment would definitely be: 'Sis, I don't want to work hard anymore.'"

"It's time to rest!" Lu Feng stood up, looking slightly disheveled, and went back to his room. Leaning against the door, he thought to himself, "Women who have been hurt in love are terrifying."

The next day, Bai Yuanfang was busy renting a car, looking for bodyguards, and continuing to build momentum in the business world. Lu Feng, on the other hand, was much more relaxed. He called Gao Zhiwei, who said that the factory was still operating normally, but production was still insufficient.

After hanging up the phone, Lu Feng cursed Ren Qianbo a few times. Where did that bastard go? The most suitable factory is now his, and it can even help him solve his debt problems. But he can't get in touch with him.

In an office inside the city hall of Baiyuan City, a man in his forties sat with important local newspapers on his desk and some smaller newspapers next to him, all of which were turned to reports about Weng Bufan.

The man looked at it for a while, then picked up the phone and said, "Secretary Li, come in here for a moment!"

A few minutes later, a man in his thirties, wearing a white shirt, knocked on the door and came in, saying, "Secretary Zou, you wanted to see me?"

"The White Rabbit Group came to our area for an inspection without even notifying us?" Secretary Zou asked, puzzled. "Have our city's private enterprises become this powerful?"

Secretary Li walked closer and glanced at the newspaper, then said with a smile, "You can't believe the news in this kind of newspaper. But I've also heard recently that this Weng Bufan is coming. Even if it's true, isn't that a bit too high-profile?"

"That's interesting, go on."

"As a state-owned enterprise, this kind of supply channel should be a market behavior. Now it's full of innuendo. If this continues, someone will lose their job. So it's fake!"

“I know it’s fake. I know this person in the newspaper.” Zou Xiongfei took the newspaper and pointed to Lu Feng’s photo. “About two weeks ago, I went to Yegang Group for a day to exchange ideas on steel production. General Manager Huang there mentioned this person to me.”

Secretary Li frowned slightly and asked, "Why did you come all the way to our city?"

"General Manager Huang praised him highly and even showed me a newspaper with his picture on it. He said that the man owns a children's food factory and had just finished competing with a local factory in the market. Now, free market competition is encouraged, so this is a good example."

Zou Xiongfei picked up the newspaper, looked at Lu Feng's photo for a while, and said, "What is he trying to do? Coming to our city to play tricks. By the way, General Manager Huang told me that this guy has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. In my opinion, he's probably eyeing our pillar industry."
