Chapter 698 One Person, One Table (shuhaige.net)

Lu Feng put down the phone without taking it seriously, stood up and stretched. He still had some things to do in the afternoon, but he didn't want to get busy. All he could think about was going to see Duo Duo.

When Lu Feng arrived at the entrance of the Third Experimental Primary School, he went to the security guard's office and said, "Sir, could you help me find someone?"

"Will a teacher pick you up?" the old man asked, glancing at Lu Feng.

"No, I just wanted to come and see my child. Please take the trouble." As he spoke, Lu Feng handed over a pack of cigarettes.

"No, no, no, that's not nice," the old man said, declining. "I understand you parents. Which class is your child in?"

"I came back from abroad for personal reasons, and I really don't know which class my child is in. His name is Lu Duoduo, and he's in first grade." Lu Feng stuffed a pack of cigarettes into the old man's arms and said, "Thank you for your help. I haven't seen him for a while. Could you please ask him for me?"

The old man looked Lu Feng up and down suspiciously, then glanced at the car parked not far away, and said, "Come in, I'll ask him for you."

As he spoke, he placed a pack of cigarettes under the table.

After waiting for more than half an hour, the old man returned and waved to Lu Feng from afar, signaling him to go inside.

This school is quite good, with teaching buildings, staff buildings, and a well-equipped sports field. Its facilities are definitely top-notch. When you go up to the third floor, all you can hear is the chattering of children reading aloud.

Class 3, Grade 1.

The classroom door opened, and a female teacher wearing glasses walked out, followed by a child who looked much thinner and taller.

"Dad!" Duoduo's eyes lit up when she saw Lu Feng, and she rushed over to him.

Lu Feng reached out and picked her up, asking, "How are you? How's your studies going lately?"

"Duoduo is very smart, and her academic performance is very stable. She is good at early childhood education and has a solid foundation of knowledge. She is currently consistently in the top five in her class." The teacher said, looking Lu Feng up and down, and asked, "I don't think I've seen you at school before."

"I'm quite busy, so I came to check on things since I had some free time today." Lu Feng looked at the teacher and asked, "Um... could I ask for a leave of absence for her? Just two or three hours will be fine."

The teacher seemed somewhat hesitant, but still agreed.

Once outside the school gate, Duoduo looked very happy. After getting into the car, she asked, "Dad, where did you go? Mom said you're very busy with work and she was afraid of affecting you, so she moved out to live here."

“Yeah, I’ve been too busy lately, it’s all international stuff, this sheikh and that country leader, can’t you believe how annoying these people are?” Lu Feng smacked his lips and said, “Your mom is just worried about it affecting me, it’s okay, it’s only temporary.”

"But the house we live in now is really run-down, it's like...like the one from when I was a kid, it doesn't even have air conditioning," Duoduo said, sounding a little aggrieved.

“This is all thanks to your parents’ hard work. You’ve always been pampered since you were little, so you’re going to have to endure hardship. It’s a good way to toughen you up.” Lu Feng patted her head and said, “When you turn eighteen, you’ll be all grown up and can spend money however you want.”

"Really?" Duoduo's eyes widened with anticipation.

“When has your father ever lied to you? Once you’re over eighteen, you’re an adult. You can do whatever you want, and your mother and I will never interfere.” Lu Feng said as he started the car.

"I want to spend the New Year's red envelopes myself. I want to watch cartoons and eat snacks every day."

"No problem, I've saved all your New Year's money for your dowry, don't worry." Lu Feng turned to look at her and asked, "What do you want to eat? Dad will take you."

"KFC!!!" Duoduo shouted at the top of her lungs.

"good!"

The car sped towards KFC. After a hearty meal, they packed a large bag of food to take back and share with their classmates and teachers.

The car stopped at the school gate. Duoduo was still burping. Lu Feng looked at her, feeling a mix of emotions. He smiled and said, "Don't tell your mother that I came to see you."

"Why? Why aren't you going home tonight?" Duoduo asked, puzzled.

"This is our secret, okay?"

"no problem!"

"Come on, pinky promise!"

"Pinky promise, a hundred years from now."

The car door opened, and Lu Feng watched her get out. The teacher was already waiting at the school gate. After watching her enter the school, Lu Feng said to the female teacher, "When my wife comes to pick up the child tonight, don't tell her that I came. There are still some conflicts in the family."

"No problem, but Duoduo is a very lively child. We still hope that the family can be more harmonious, which is conducive to the healthy growth of the child," the teacher suggested.

"I know, I'll try my best to cooperate with the school." Lu Feng forced a smile at the teacher and said, "Thank you!"

"You're too kind."

Duoduo walked to the middle of the playground, turned around and looked at Lu Feng, and shouted, "Dad, remember to come see me!"

"I'm back to see you!" Lu Feng waved to her.

It was already evening when Lu Feng returned to the company. He had eaten quite a few chicken wings and wasn't too hungry. There was a pager meeting scheduled for the evening, but Lu Feng postponed it to the next day. He glanced at the time; it was six o'clock in the evening. He changed his clothes and prepared to go to the banquet.

Inside the suite at Tianhao Hotel, Mr. Lü looked at the night outside, feeling somewhat bored. He had arrived in Shenzhen this morning, and he would never have come if it weren't for the fact that more than a dozen large electronics factories were located there.

Moreover, he believes that the export business of electronic products from mainland China will not be very large in the next few years, accounting for too much of his company's revenue. The main reason he came here is to meet some friends from the mainland.
