Lu Feng sat alone at the table, looking somewhat lonely. He didn't feel embarrassed at all. He picked up his chopsticks, took a bite of food, and said while eating, "You're all old foxes. You agreed to stand in a row and keep the formation. I thought you would take a step forward, but I didn't expect you to all take a step back."
“Lu Feng, we’re here to do business, not to be serious,” Li Dongsheng said as he sat down. “These days, it’s first come, first served, so don’t blame anyone else.”
"The market is just that kind of market. If it's not suitable, it will be eliminated. People say that water and fire are merciless, but the market is even more merciless."
"It's not that we're trying to scam you, it's that you've blocked your own path."
The crowd chimed in with their own opinions, their words full of mockery. It seemed he didn't understand such a simple principle, yet he expected these people to stand by him through thick and thin—it was a joke! Even a child wouldn't be that foolish.
Li Guangfa stood there with an arrogant expression, looking at Lu Feng and said, "I'm giving you one last chance now. A profit-sharing contract of 9.5% and 0.5%, and you'll still have half a point of unrealized profit. Whether Jiafeng Electronics can survive next year depends on fate. But if you want to sign this contract, we should settle our previous accounts."
Lu Feng raised an eyebrow, looked up at him, put down his chopsticks, and said in a deep voice, "What accounts are we settling?"
"You owe me for that slap you gave me!" Li Guangfa shouted, his expression grim.
"Isn't that all in the past?" Lu Feng looked at him and said, "Why didn't you fight back then? If you had, it would have just been a mutual fight. You didn't call the police or sue me, which means you gave up on the matter. Now you're trying to use this to pressure me?"
"I'll crush you!" Li Guangfa's face was so gloomy it looked like he wanted to devour someone. He pointed his finger at Lu Feng's nose and shouted, "What the hell can you do? Let me tell you, I'll return that slap tenfold today, and you'll have to kneel down and apologize to me in front of all these people."
"It was your fault to begin with, apologize to them!" someone egged on.
"That's right, offering drinks and apologizing, who does things like that? It's an opportunity for you, you won't lose anything!"
"President Lu is going to make a fool of himself today, everyone watch closely."
"He's so young, kneeling down is nothing to be ashamed of. If I were him, I would kneel down too. It's no big deal."
Lu Feng took the wine glass, poured himself half a glass of baijiu, raised the glass and waved it in front of Li Guangfa, and said, "You were indeed a scoundrel that day, but it was wrong of me to hit someone. I apologize for this. In front of so many people, I will drink a glass of wine as punishment to apologize to you."
After Lu Feng finished speaking, he raised his glass and drank it all in one gulp.
The crowd booed loudly; everyone was waiting to see President Lu kneel down and apologize, so why was he being so perfunctory?
"They made you kneel on the ground, raise your glass with both hands, and apologize like that, do you understand?"
"Yeah, that's way too perfunctory."
"No, start over. Besides, the sound was too soft; we didn't hear it."
Li Guangfa looked at Lu Feng with a sinister expression and said in a deep voice, "So you know how to apologize now, but it's too late. Now it's my turn to play you. I just said that you have to kneel down and apologize, raise your glass above your head, and say loudly, 'President Li, I was wrong. I'll drink this glass of wine, and this matter will be over.'"
Lu Feng couldn't help but laugh when he heard this rule. He leaned back in his chair, reached into his pocket, pulled out a cigarette and a lighter, lit one, and said, "I apologize to you because I feel that slap was really inappropriate. I have my own way of apologizing, and you don't need to tell me what to do. Don't be so unforgiving."
Li Guangfa chuckled twice, looking quite disdainful, and said to Lu Feng, "It seems you don't want that contract."
“I wouldn’t have agreed to the previous 90/10 split, and now that it’s down to only half a percent, I’m even less likely to agree,” Lu Feng said calmly, looking at him.
"Really?" Li Guangfa looked at the other three tables, then turned back and said, "Look at your colleagues, do you think you'll even survive next year?"
All the CEOs of manufacturers large and small companies present were staring at Lu Feng. This time, Jiafeng Electronics had really reached a dead end. If the fight were to start next year, they would be more confident than Lu Feng.
“You can’t be so absolute. Didn’t we say we were going to call those international businessmen over? Don’t waste your time on me. If you still want to fight me, let’s find a spacious place and have a real fight.” Lu Feng said, smoking a cigarette. “But let me tell you beforehand, at your age, you might not be able to beat me.”
"All you're left with is stubbornness, huh?" Li Guangfa was extremely annoyed. He knew that when the bosses arrived, Lu Feng would definitely try to curry favor and make contact. Li Guangfa felt that Lu Feng was plotting this. Since that was the case, he would let him know what despair was.
Li Guangfa waved to a man, gave him a few instructions, picked up his wine glass, and said, "The heads of the international business will be here soon. To be honest, I'm the only one who can introduce the international business to you so openly. This kind of magnanimity is not something that ordinary people have. What I hope for is that our home appliance trade will grow bigger and stronger."
The audience erupted in applause, creating a very enthusiastic atmosphere.
"President Li is truly benevolent and righteous!"
May President Li live a long and prosperous life!
The flattery was constant, and a smile appeared on Li Guangfa's face, clearly enjoying it.
People at the scene had already left their seats and were gathering towards the entrance. The first person to walk in was the executive director of Tianqi Consulting.
"Hello, hello!"
A crowd had gathered at the entrance, shaking hands with each other. Some introduced themselves, while others handed out business cards, as if it were an idol meeting a fan at a concert.
