"The sales of these products are average, so I told the factories below to produce and ship on demand, and not to hold inventory. We should produce for whichever distributor needs the goods, so as to avoid holding inventory and tying up funds," Wei Yandan replied.
“Okay, these products that aren’t selling well will be outsourced to other factories. Find an outsourcing company, and set aside one production line each in the factories in Dongguan and Suzhou to prepare for pager production.” Lu Feng closed the folder and said, “It should be ready by early March, no rush. You can leave work early too. By the way, the New Year is over, but the morning meetings still need to be held. Make it a habit. We need to identify and intervene in management problems early. I might be going to Tianjin for the next couple of days, so you’ll be in charge of the morning meetings.”
“Okay, Mr. Lu,” Wei Yandan replied.
"Alright, that's all." Lu Feng put the folder on the table, stood up and prepared to leave, but suddenly remembered something and stopped, saying, "Book me two tickets to Tianjin for tomorrow."
Back at the villa, Lu Feng found that the dishes had been cleared away, and Su Yourong was sitting there looking a little angry. Lu Feng didn't want to coax her, so he went upstairs on his own.
"You didn't even say a word?" Su Yourong couldn't help but ask.
Lu Feng stood on the stairs, turned around and looked at her, saying, "What do you want me to say?"
"Can't you tell I'm unhappy?" She was getting a little annoyed, and sat up straight, staring at him.
"If you're unhappy, just stay there. You'll be happy in a little while."
"You!" Su Yourong was furious with him and stood up, saying, "Who would suffer living in a house with you? I've been so kind to you these past two days, I've been so virtuous..."
"Stop, stop, stop!" Lu Feng interrupted her, saying, "What you're saying is no different from a serial killer putting down his knife and immediately claiming to be the best person in the world. We're all in the martial arts world, so stop pretending to be a submissive little wife. You've enjoyed being a virtuous wife these past two days. Now you can draw your eighty-meter-long sword and continue your adventures in the martial arts world."
Su Yourong was furious at his words. She stood up and walked upstairs. When she reached Lu Feng, she pushed him with her hand and said angrily, "Go upstairs! What are you doing blocking the way? Come inside!"
What are you doing?
"I'll get my revenge on you!"
At 11 p.m., Su Yourong lay lazily on the bed smoking and said weakly, "To make sure everything goes smoothly, I still called President Li and told him that we would arrive tomorrow. It's better to have a local help us than to be completely clueless."
"Alright, it's better than nothing. Go to sleep early." Lu Feng turned off the light by his bedside and started to sleep.
Su Yourong stubbed out her cigarette in the ashtray on the bedside table. She realized that she was not suited to be a housewife. A tiger is always a tiger. It may be docile like a cat for a short time, but it is not a cat after all.
The next day, around nine o'clock in the morning, Lu Feng and Su Yourong took a car to the airport. As the plane took off, Lu Feng looked out the window and realized that it had been a long time since he had been to the North.
“I haven’t seen President Li for a long time. Yesterday he said he had prepared a lot of local specialties to treat us.” Su Yourong closed the small window and leaned back in her seat, saying, “It reminded me of my glorious days over there!”
"Don't mention it! That's not called a glorious past, that's called a criminal history," Lu Feng said, closing his eyes to rest.
"I'm not called Su Yourong anymore, and besides, I still have you." Su Yourong turned her head to look at Lu Feng and asked, "If something happens to me, you'll take care of me, right?"
Lu Feng didn't speak, but everyone already knew the answer in their hearts. Some things didn't need to be made public.
As the plane landed and I stepped out of the airport, a cold front hit me. February in the north was still the dead of winter. People coming and going were bundled up in cotton-padded clothes. A gust of cold wind swept in, and cold air was blowing into the gaps around their necks.
Lu Feng felt a chill on his nose and tightened his wool coat. Su Yourong looked around and, seeing a group of people holding a banner that read "Warmly Welcome President Su Back to Tianjin," said, "I'm here."
More than twenty people walked over, creating quite a scene. Leading them was a man in his forties with a parted hairstyle and a thick Tianjin accent. He said, "Oh my, you're getting more and more beautiful! You're as charming as ever! Welcome, welcome!"
"President Li is as dashing as ever. Let me introduce you," Su Yourong said, preparing to introduce Lu Feng to him.
President Li glanced at Lu Feng, his smile vanished, and he tentatively asked, "Lu Feng from Jiafeng Electronics?"
