Chapter 76 Zuo Weimin Revisited

"What's wrong?" Bai Yuanfang asked, puzzled.

"It's nothing. I just suddenly remembered that Xiaoxue is quite pitiful. I'll go find her and help her out." Lu Feng said as he walked inside.

A row of girls sat not far ahead, somewhat haphazardly, like the dormitories of these dancers. Lu Feng walked over and asked, "Is Xiaoxue here?"

"Xiaoxue, someone is looking for you!"

A moment later, Xiaoxue came out. When she saw Lu Feng, she was a little surprised. She was carrying a brand new schoolbag with several books inside.

"Mr. Weng, is there something you need?" Xiaoxue asked somewhat flusteredly.

"Nothing, I just wanted to chat with you for a bit." As Lu Feng spoke, he turned to look at the door and saw that Zuo Weimin's car was already parked there. He reached out and pulled her to a corner, asking, "Which middle school do you go to?"

"No. 1 Middle School!"

Which class are you in?

"Class Nine!"

“Mr. Weng, please come tomorrow. You really don’t need to worry about Mr. Xie. He only comes once a month. It just so happens that we ran into each other today. I’m so sorry!” Xiaoxue lowered her head, as if she had done something wrong. She looked up at Lu Feng and said, “Why don’t you leave the money for tomorrow first? I’ll wait for you. If you have something to do, I’ll do my homework over there.”

Doing homework?

Lu Feng looked at the schoolbag with some suspicion. He did find it touching that a child from a poor family would be in such a place just to go to school, but the schoolbag was too new and the books were too few.

“Okay!” Lu Feng nodded, took out a set of math papers from his bag, flipped to a random page, pointed to the equation on it and said, “Explain your solution to this problem.”

"ah?"

"This is... something I haven't learned yet."

"You're already a senior in high school, and you still haven't learned how to solve a linear equation in two variables?" A smile appeared on Lu Feng's lips.

"Mr. Weng, what's your educational background? How do you know anything about equations?" Xiaoxue looked somewhat embarrassed.

“My educational background doesn’t matter. I know that Mr. Xie definitely didn’t finish junior high school.” Lu Feng sighed as he spoke, looking at her pure face and big, dark eyes. He suddenly remembered Liu Piaopiao’s line in “King of Comedy”: “If I were really a student, I wouldn’t be working here as a hostess.”

She smiled slyly, like a little fox, slung her backpack over her shoulder, waved to Lu Feng, and said, "The guests are still waiting, I'll go upstairs first, see you again if fate allows."

Lu Feng waved his hand, watching her skip and hop upstairs. He felt a little disappointed. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he felt like he had been played, like a promiscuous scumbag who had stayed for love only to find out that the other person was a scumbag.

"The hawk-handler got pecked in the eye by the hawk, damn it!" Lu Feng cursed, pointing at one of his eyes. He saw Zuo Weimin and Bai Yuanfang asking each other something, then got into the car and prepared to leave.

As soon as Zuo Weimin left, Lu Feng went out and said, "Let's go back to the hotel."

"That man is from Master Jin's side. It's interesting that he bypassed Master Jin to come find you. Are his men planning a rebellion?" Bai Yuanfang muttered.

"Who knows? They're all eyeing money like crazy now," Lu Feng said as he sat down in the passenger seat.

Under the bright moonlight, the car sped along. The night was a bit chilly, so Lu Feng tightened his clothes, his breath turning white. He fiddled with the air conditioner a few times, and finally, there was some warmth.

Bai Yuanfang was still muttering about her matter. All she wanted was a share of the factory's equity. She currently owned 49%, but she was still short 2%. She hoped Lu Feng would speed things up so that the two of them could start living happily ever after soon.

Lu Feng couldn't listen to anything; only one thing was on his mind: if Zuo Weimin exposed him, then everything would be over, everything would be over.

In a daze, a bright light shone through the rearview mirror and was extremely dazzling. A car suddenly pulled alongside him. When Zuo Weimin, who was driving, saw Lu Feng in the passenger seat, he was completely dumbfounded.

"Stop the car!" Lu Feng shouted.

Bai Yuanfang slammed on the brakes and turned around to ask, "What's wrong?"

Lu Feng didn't say anything, pushed open the car door and got out. Zuo Weimin's car was parked to the side. He stood in front of his car and looked at Lu Feng, recalling all the information he had received from Manager Hao.

"It's all fake, it's all a trap you set!" Zuo Weimin stared at Lu Feng and said, "Many people are guessing where you went. Some say you went to see Ren Qianbo, others say you went to develop a new factory area. I didn't expect you to run here. If I stay there until the New Year, will I lose you as a major client?"

"What scheme? You overestimate me, Mr. Zuo. Long time no see." Lu Feng walked over and greeted him.

"Should I call him Boss Lu or Mr. Weng?"

"I'll still call you Boss Lu. I'm not targeting you, I just wanted to supply the goods myself for more stability. That was my initial thought." Lu Feng simply laid it all out.

"What's going on with the Big Dairy Cow project? You've made a complete mess of Shirahara City."

“We’ve gone too far, Zou Xiongfei, you know that, right? I bet you’ve already figured it out, the food raw material processing industry is about to be reshuffled!” Lu Feng said bluntly.

Zuo Weimin leaned against the hood of the car, smoking one cigarette after another. He was unusually clear-headed in the cold wind and immediately realized that his chance had come—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"I'm going to make a fortune!" Zuo Weimin said with a smile as he got into the car.

"Don't tell me about this. It's good for you and good for me. I can just buy a factory at a low price for my own use, and you can also merge with it at a low price to expand your factory."

Sitting in the car, Zuo Weimin flicked his cigarette butt away and said in a sinister tone, "I'll wait until they've poured their money in first, then sell you off to get some cash. After that, Master Jin, Boss Shi, and those public-private partnership companies will definitely fight tooth and nail, and then I'll step in."
